  • I know. I bought the song on iTunes the day it came out. I understand the song more after reading a recent interview with Arron. The guy is a GREAT American for sure and I hope and pray he helps us with his ideas for alternative energy.

  • So is the rock of fire explosion for adults now?

  • I take no stance on anything moral or otherwise.

I am here only to say how much this song sucks.

    It sucks alot.

I mean like a WHOLE lot.

  • this is supposed to be for kids...

  • So what are the chances of ever hearing the real Fats singing with the rockafire band again? or any of the other original members...

  • Bought it on Amazon, Aaron. Big fan, keep up the excellent work.

  • I could watch this all day :)

  • You NEED to do Bohmien Rapsody

  • @KingBellyButton as i lol i can imagine it. agreed! it must be done!!!

  • Hey Aaron, just saw the movie on Netflix, and was fascinated the whole way through. Didn't realize the RAE were still around, but I guess other bands get to take a hiatus and come back later, so why not!! Don't let a handful of haters get you down man. Your characters are entertaining the same kids from the days of Showbiz Pizza, we've just grown up (and grown out a little as the case may be). But now I can show my little guys the same characters I enjoyed from back in the day.

  • Thanks for all the time and effort you put into the RAE, I know it's a labor of love.

  • i hope you find a girlfriend billybob and don't listen to rlofe

  • Hey aaron just watched the film on hulu... i enjoyed it! Who cares what the songs about... its really catchy!

  • I like the original stuff. Thanks Aaron. Rock-afire is always hardcore sweet.

  • Holy crap, I skim through the comments and it's paragraph after paragraph, jeez...

Just keep on doin' your thing, Fechter. It's your toys, you play with them as you wish.

  • Aw, emi told me all about the Fundie troll and I missed it! I miss all the fun! :)

  • Rolfe and Earl always seemed to me like a gay former couple, always fighting with each other. (The rainbow signals it.)

  • Hey all..We're not in Kansas anymore. (That's where the home office for Showbiz Pizza Place was by coincidence). I am now playing to an audience of mostly adults who were children in the 80's. There will be a variety of shows for different age groups just as any rock group might have. Yes, I have a plan, and I have blocked Andy so he can't piss on my parade as easily as I have allowed up to now.

  • @fanprograms - This song is a celebration of innocence, and acceptance of sexual orientations. All Billybob asks in this song is that he be accepted for who he is and that he anxiously hopes for the day his heart may be fulfilled with the love of a sweet girl as he imagines serving her breakfast in bed, and other lovely shows of affection. (if she's sweet, which is kind of a suggestion to anyone who wants their lover to be sweet to them), Billybob is growing up. more to come.

  • ...Oh, and with that said.....I love this new song! :)

  • To be honest, all most little kids would likely care about in this song is "there are funny animals singing and it's funny!" "Gay" simply means "when a boy loves a boy" and "when a girl loves a girl". "The birds and the bees" is just a catchy saying that they don't care about. Sex doesn't even enter their heads at that young. Jeez, do we forget so easily what it was like to be 6?

  • There's seriously people complaining because of the phrases "gay" and "the birds and the bees"? If your kid asks what they meant, you can tell them they aren't old enough... ya'know, actually doing your job as the parent? As for the overzealous "Christians" condemning this video because it says "gay". If you're so Christian, listen to what God really thinks about trashing someone's work over a word.

  • Rejected Chuck E. Cheese/ Country Bear Jamboree animatonics running on Nightmare Fuel.

  • @bssalazar I guess your parents brought you back after Earl sang "I want a new drug", and Beach Bear and Duke decided to team up on Fatz' little sister and "Give it to her". Let's see, there was "Sexy Sadie", "She came in Through the Bathroom Window" and "Mean Mr. Mustard" cocaine references. The list goes on and on. We were never Captain Kangaroo. But, hey! You turned out alright, so our freedom of expression didn't hurt you then and I doubt it will hurt anyone now.

  • @fanprograms Ah, the creative art of concealing naughty references in songs and props. I didn't realise you'd popped all those whimsical drug and sex references into your past songs. It's like pantomime, it operates on two levels. Innocent humour for the kids and naughty bits for their parents. I'll have to admit that this song made me squirm the first time I heard it, since I'm a "bear" and didn't come to grips with my sexuality until my late 30's. It sums up the charade I lived.

  • @bssalazar lol this isn't supposed to be for kids. I think the new venue is for adults and even serves alcohol. They're just using the same characters.

  • @unknownflyingpancake uhm isn't the bias you attribute to me, and in fact all prejudice based on a feeling of superiority towards another group of people based on a trait?

  • Jesus there's so many bigots in here ('gender choices' and Jesus loves everyone...except gays apparently) I thought it was a tea party thread.

I felt...my childhood violated...watching this (and more so reading the comments after)...but it ended funny. Its...different. I for one applaud it, if only to keep poking the 'Jesus hates everybody but me' types.

  • @unknownflyingpancake, it sound like you're the biggot, I haven't once declared judgment on any gender preference, but since I'm a Christian, you gotta throw your ideas of what I believe out there. Most of the Christians you argue with mustn't be versed in their Bible, I know all people commit sin especially adultery, makes no difference whay gender they do it with! Anyway just read my post not what you think I believe, bad business move period!

  • @andrewmarcus91

An, the classic "no u" argument. Real mature, eh? The only thing I'm getting what I'm saying is from what you are saying yourself. Yet you assume it is because of your faith. I just find it odd that THIS is what you find inappropriate, when way more "inappropriate" things have been done in the rockafire's past.

Aaron: Sorry about all this. Please, ignore the nay sayers and keep up the good work. Though, I think "never kissed a girl" would be a more fitting title.

  • @UnknownFlyingPancake , quote anything iv said that would lead you to believe that I think i am any better than anyone else?

  • @andrewmarcus91

Wow, not once did I say you thought you were better than anyone else. Looks like someone is too busy making assumptions to actually read the other persons argument.

  • Im sure Mr Brock would have said no . I for one APPROVE this song and skit. If it's funny it b good

  • This is so awesome! I'm ecstatic that to find that the RAE are still around and that they do new songs. All I remember is 20 years ago, I was a 10 year old kid that wanted to go to Showbiz Pizza as my reward for making good grades and I get there and its gone and there are weird lifeless characters were in its place! Never thought I'd see them again. I'm ecstatic! Great job Aaron!:)

  • It'd be inappropriate for younger children, they really don't need to know about sex much less gemder choices, I understand its not for them, I just think this video panders to maybe a cpuple hundred older fans while potentially loosing an untold amount of kids because parents can't trust the contents

  • @andrewmarcus91 So it is about the gay thing. First off, being gay isn't a choice, nor is it a gender. And no, they don't need to know about sex. But is this song saying "HEY KIDS, WE'RE GONNA TELL YOU WHAT SEX IS NOW!"? No. It makes jokes that they wouldn't understand, but if you watched any cartoon aimed towards children, you'd see they do that all the time. You need to take your bigoted judgment somewhere else, there's no place in the rockafire for that.

  • Yayyyyyyyyyy! Awesome and provocative. Keep it rocking Aaron, I can't wait to see where you take the ROCKAFIRE world from here! I'm excited, you are taking us somewhere new.. And bringing them into the real world..! Ignore the negative, and roll with your positive!

  • I understand that this wasn't made for kids. Ok lets not argue the appropriate issue anymore, my basic point has been that cei has its best chance to succeed if it stays family friendly, that means not infriging on a parents right to teach such topics when and how we see fit. It was Aarons choice to go for an older crowd, I respect and understand that, I just don't think itl be very profitable, please stop arguing on my topics, I think its ticking Aaron off and I don't want to argue with him

  • @andrewmarcus91

    Aaron...

Please block andrewmarcus91 from making future comments...PLEASE!

  • @andrewmarcus91

You didn't answer my question. What, exactly, is it about this song that is so inappropriate? I would like to know, because I don't see what is so wrong with it.

  • So the rae version of I got a feeling included the curse words? Don't hear em, so the old classic rock songs were primarily based on sexual prefrence? So this song can be classified as rock? Listen ppl I'm not aiming this at Aaron anymore, stop ok stop trying to rationalize this, a lot of the classic rock was music driven and you couldn't understand the words if ya didn't pay attention, can you say that about this? Am I a homophobe? No! Read my other posts its not about that

  • @UnknownFlyingPancake Haha *LIKE*

Best comment on here, lol! He says he allows his son to listen to the Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" song, yet thinks this is horrible. I highly doubt that his 4 year old would be harmed by hearing the word "gay" in a song... Sigh. Lighten up people!

  • Andy: Seriously? You're saying that this is inappropriate for children? Why? Because of the usage of the word "gay"? I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem if the word "straight" was used in a song. How, exactly would this ruin a child's innocence?

If you knew anything about the rockafire, you'd know they have done songs MUCH more "inappropriate" than this. And anyway, kids won't understand it. A lot of stuff flew over our heads as kids.

  • you do know whats in looney birds barrel right everyone complaining? wasn't 100% kid friendly back in the day either

  • My Lord Andy just give it up... It's quite apparent that Aaron did a good job, so take it for what it's worth. One day there may not be many new RAE songs. Just PLEASE stop complaining. If you don't feel it's appropriate for your 4 year old, DO NOT have him watch it. You say that he loves I Gotta Feeling, yet did you ever listen to the lyrics in that song? Much worse than this. This isn't even bad in the first place!

  • As a fan of the rock a fire, I love it! Please continue to make more and more of it to keep these guys a live.

As far as these nasty comments about faith or offending someone, this is entertainment and the title should not offend anyone!

  • OK now are we done? Can I close this conversation and leave it for all to judge with no further rain on my attempt to bring the Rock-afire back to those who I can relate to? Or will you have one last comment, which I promise now not to answer?

  • This is the end of my posting on this, ill expect more slams on my faith as opposed to my actual point, but dnt worry, I'm done!

  • Once again an attack on my faith as appossed to simply taking my message at its point. Whatever Aaron, I guess the darkness hates the light and I should have expected this based on our private communication, and all your YouTube responses about what you'll do for money. I'm telling you, you're not gonna make much with this approach. Think of the numbber of exfans that remember you vs the number of little kids that'd love this?

  • Most modern christians are no longer as "crazy" about the negative effects of rock and roll on our children, but in the 50's and even the 60's, I heard this kind of over the top criticism of rock and roll on our nations youth. What they once called, "The Devil's music" is now thought of as the innocent age of rock-and roll. Even if toddlers sing this song, it will not take away their innocence. I hope this song helps older children with sexual identity problems not to worry. It is now 2011.

  • @ urlgator boy I love being fake yelled at, but you are all missing my biggest points. You think just because I'm a christian, trying to start a christ based busuness that its the morality of gender and partner choices that I am complaining about? You're wrong! I don't think kids need to know about sex at any level by the ages that enviropals is targeting, however that's not my point either. My point is that Aaron's business will continue to fail the further he goes from family friendly

  • You rock Aaron! (as usual!) And thanks for giving Fatz a part in the act too!

  • Aaron, I'm not humming that one, dales favorite it the kangaroo, and your best recent work was the black eyed peas song. If ya want to brag brag on that

  • @andrewmarcus91 All right, KNOCK IT OFF! NOW!! Until you prove to everyone you are pure and chaste down to the core of your soul, quit being a misbegotten hypocrite and lash out at Aaron for being too "unclean" for younger viewers. Toddlers are not the only members of the RAE audience, and even if they were, most parents out there are already exposing them to "nasty" influence on TV, internet, and music. Take your so-called "investments" and take a hike!

  • Well that was unexpected! Haha I loved it though especially the end bit "You just cost us our family rating!" xD And for the people who say it's not family friendly: Well, you're right, but no one's forcing you to show it to your kids and besides, most of the audience here are adults so to throw in a song that's a bit more "adult" is understandable. There's plenty of other RAE stuff out there for the kids to watch, and hopefully more new songs to come! Keep up the great work Aaron! :)

  • No toddler needs to know about sex. But they watch enviropals, they wstch your old stuff online. Believe it or not Aaron, your money and your primary fan base is the kids who can't watch this. The rest of us are just trying to relive those days of youthful innocence, this kinda material is niether funny, catchy or appropriate for the kids who you used to serve. You sold out the kids Aaron!

  • @andrewmarcus91 If it's not catchy, then why are you still humming the tune? Thank you for your opinions. No one paid me to do this so I didn;t sell out anyone. I think this conversation is now over.

  • Its not the wording soo much as who is singing those words, I look past dubbed music like he has done in the past cause he was just programming someone elses music and words, and he was doing this for money, I guess the same concept goes here. The big objection I have is thesexare the same charectors you made your money off of, you did that but entertainment for little children, the older kids played games more, it was the toddlers that loved billy and the rae. These kids made you huge,

  • Anyone who is offended by this needs to climb back into their plastic bubble with John Travolta. Good job Aaron.

  • Billy Bob is sterile.

  • @OhshiAppledrink Uh oh! I feel another song coming on!

  • Once again, the idea would be fine had you not aimed your recent tv stuff at toddlers enviropals. And why do kids that small even hafta know about sex or gender identity? Who are you targeting? Teens? Than keep the edgy lipsyncing and remakes of good adult music. Tweens than keep this up. Kids? Than for goodness sake let them have their innocence. Why chance that a small kid would find this and loose theirs? Don't we have enough things killing that innocence today?

  • Well you finally put something out that I won't show my four year old! Nice, so how do I woo investors now when they YouTube the most expensive psrt of my fec concept and find the most recent programming niether family friendly nor funny?

  • @andrewmarcus91 That's OK..This song is for ages 7 and up. We've done other songs for older age groups as well, such as "I want a new drug", Sexie Sadie, I touch Myself". I suggest, if you are trying to sheild your child from music with any sexual overtones that you prescreen my work because almost all of it has a message that relates to our basic need to love each other.

  • @therockafire Nothing could be more innocent than this message of Abtstainance from a bear who simply recognizes that one could be gay and one could be straight, with no judgment offered as to what one should be. Billybob is the innocent bear that he is and he is proud of it.

  • i like it :)

  • Very Awsome, I hope we can get to see more!!!!

  • and Billy Bob seemed so confident about getting women in the Usher song haha

  • Cool beans!

  • Very cool!

  • aaron this is awesome! hope to hear more originals soon! great great great :D love seeing the rock-afire live on!

  • 'You just cost us our family rating'.

Love it xD Looking forward to some more originals !
