  • this is soooooo good !

  • the chord changes that begin at 1:30 always make the hairs on my arms stand on in and fill me with a wonder hopefulness that we yet still may find our way in this dark void!!!!

  • Lovely. Just Lovely.

  • I feel stupid. I've been listening to this beautiful rendition for months, and it just now really *hit* me that this is your own mix and not the actual music from the game. Very, very, very well-done. (And I can rest easy, knowing you weren't just illegally posting music files from the game disc. :-P) God bless!

  • its a bit too fast, meaning its a little short but its still pretty awesome : ) keep up the good work!

  • FF7 was definatly the marvel of the FF series. Wonderful music, great gameplay, and extremly good grahics (for the playstation)

  • I agree with Alkahest, this is entirely too short...it is, however, amazing. Great job 5/5

  • best music in the game

  • My sole complaint on this piece? Too short. 5 stars.

  • It's funny, not matter how much I play this on the piano, it still sounds gorgeous whenever someone else plays it. I never tire of it.

  • 5/5. simply wonderful

  • I like the arrangement. Simplicity is best. OCRemix overdoes everything.

  • its good

  • good job!

  • Personally, I think FF7 had the best video game music scores of all time.

  • Nobuo Uematsu is god. Nuff said. Since he left the musics been pap! (See FF12 etc for examples.) To Zanarkand was last thign he did and notice that was the signature GOOD piece in FF10 too.

  • Masashi Hamauzu is also responsible for 10's music, and his sounds were vital to the game as well; for example the hymn of the faith was his... I think if the series would have just handed it over to him, since he and Nobu have similar styles, instead of the guy that handled 12 we would all rest easier.

  • To follow up on what I said a few months ago, all I want to add is that this song is perfect for guitar. I wouldn't mind if Uematsu or some side-project composer/arranger put together an all acoustics FF album with various songs from all the FF's. Maybe even I'll do it lol

  • Nobuo Uematsu can't do better cuz he already create so much Very Good Stuff

  • check out lonlonjp's youtube page he has a bunch of final fantasy songs on acoustic guitar and they are played beautifully check him out.

  • yer you should do tAT

  • i always wondered what this one was called lol great job

  • Wow. That was soo pretty.

  • i favorited this. amazing job.

  • This was magical, I had goosebumps everywhere. 5/5

  • The FF songs do that so well.

  • Maddest vid

    sounds so sexy! :)

  • This was always one of my favorites from the game. It just had tha feel of beautifulness and the echoes of having to march forward...but at the same time it felt like you were reflecting back on what had happened so far. Awesome version! Gorgeous!

  • that's beautifully said...a thumbs up from me, that put into words my thoughts exactly

  • i totally agree with you. I friggin' love this song so much

  • What an amazing job! This is one of my favourites, it's beautiful.

  • I love this song ;)

  • ...... ...... LOVE. God bless.

  • Very nice, unlike some people on youtube who just go straight out and metallasize every video game song thrownin' in any fill they can think of, you play with restraint.

  • dude this sounds beautiful, so soothing...how do you get the 4 instruments to synch like that? anyway great job, great game...i could listen to this music all day!

  • I'm guessing a metronome. In any case...phenomenal job, this is one of my favorite tunes in the game (along with Tifa's theme), and it's sad you can only hear it in game in such a small remote area.

  • -> QuickQuips: It is a tragedy that a song like this could be so easily overlooked.

  • VERY nicely done. I've already transcribed it by ear, I was going to do a version myself before realising I don't have a bass. Oh well, pitch shifter to the rescue.

  • tab!!!!tabs!!!!

  • heh, well...ok. Just for you :) I'll get them up eventually.

  • jah...thanx.

    :)

    :)

    :)

    :)

    :)

  • Alright, I made the tabs. You can find them at gametabs (dot) net.

  • mucho grazias...

  • What do you use to record on your comp?

  • I have a Tascam DP-01, and I hook it up to my computer with a usb cable and am able to put my music on it that way. If you want to record music onto your computer I would not recommend it! It's a very tedious process. If you're acoustic and have very little money (like me), I'd suggest just getting a computer mic and some sort of recording program (I think there are a few free ones on the internet). If you're electric...I'm not sure what to suggest :/

  • You can plug you electric instrument direct to the mic input of the computer.

  • I got MICROBR recorder with presets very good thing.

  • awesome

  • You should tighten it up a bit, but other than that it's excellent

  • i love final fantasy music. escpecially this song. its one of my favorites. and u know, this is the best real performance of this song that with real instruments that i've heard.

  • Fantastic! This is one of the best performances I've heard! Bravo!

  • this is so cool i love the song and how you play it

    ps. best game ever

  • quite good! can you send me the track? i just learned this song on piano. its so awesome. it brings back so many memories.

  • This is cool man wanna send me the track :D?

  • very nice.

  • Dude, this is awesome, im actually learning this song right now....almost mastered it. But not really as good as this, damn!

  • Amazing... One of my favourite songs off FFVII's soundtrack, so this interpretation almost gets me to tears. :P Just simply beautiful..

  • made me smile :)

  • Wooo fricken awesome! Quit holding out on us! We want more videos. Please =D.

  • haha sorry volcano, I've been very busy with school; but I actually just finished up my last class about an hour ago, so now I'm free for the summer! I'll try and work up a couple songs in the next day or two.

  • Sounds good dude. No rush. Just do what you got to do. Later =).

  • Hey, Tom Morello from Rage and Audioslave graduated Harvard w/honors and said he practiced 8 hours a day while attending.

  • I think I remember hearing that somewhere...oh well, I'm not ashamed to say that I'm not as disciplined as Tom Morello :)

  • this rocks! keep it up!

  • I agree, keep it up man! These tunes bring back really fond memories.
