@bananian Well its a sword that cuts him, not an ax. and it makes sense. The bullets he stopped he knew were coming, it was obvious that they were going to shoot. the sword he blocked with his hand in the middle of a very fast hand to hand fight with lots of people. Its not as predictable. Neo isn't invincible. He's still human, just fast, stronger, and can break some reality "rules". He can still fuck up in a fight and do something dumb to get hurt, esp against so many people.

For anyone who judges the kung fu on this - remember it's Yuen Wo-Ping who did all these fight scenes. If you know kung fu, you know he's a legend. Don't pick apart the scenes by criticising, instead, view this work as just one project of a master. There's great fight scenes in lots of movies. Respect what they did here with effects and trying to keep the kung fu good. If you've trained in kung fu, you'd know to respect.

Now you do remember when Neo fought Smith in the real world on the ship in Revolutions where he was blinded, it was a normal fight where he couldn't do all that kung-fu wire-work moves? Where in Ong-Bak at least the first one is meant to be real.

@Indirectcell Basically based on what Morpheus said his power would be in the first movie he shouldn't need to fight at all, he should be able to think and change whatever he wants to with no effort according to Morpheus in the first film. This is why the two sequels seem really superfluous and full of holes, because his power is not what it was described as in the first. They didn't plan for sequels originally but it was a hit movie and they had to try and write two sequels for money.
