  • 4 years w/ the car 0 problems still like new

  • @aluches3 Glad to hear! I have stopped selling VW's since I made this video but, I still drive and love them. =)

  • I love how he just slams everything

  • I like how he beats up on the car to make a point. I have never seen any dealers do this before. It looks like a great, tough little car. I have read mixed reviews on this cars reliability. I will be moving to Germany soon so I would like to have a good inexpensive car that is easy to have fixed over there. I will be selling my gas guzzling 4WD SUV before I go but want to buy a replacement here in the states. Any advice on this?

  • Very solid walk around. Definately using some of this.

  • POOR RELIABILITY !!!

I have a friend who bought a jetta 2007... lots of electrical problems, and expensive to fix...

If you are looking for reliability go for Corolla XRS or CIVIC Si...you will get reliability and good power...

I like VW and I want to buy one, but the poor reliability of their cars makes me so MAD.

  • Poor reliability? You have a friend... It is more

reliable then any other vechicle in this class! If you are stupid driver even a tank will break down someday. The Civic has also a big problem: piston seizure! And corolla´s camshafts and exhaustsystems are also weakpoints.

  • Dude i see that you are from Germany. The Jetta made in Europe has completely different reliability than the one made in Mexico... which comes to the States.

I'm not talking about the European market.... I'm talking for the US market !!! OK!

  • Yes but the japanese cars also have their weak points. But one thing i really hate about the VW... They sell this Jetta in Mexico and USA with 2.5 5 cylinder engine but we in Europe we don´t even know that this engine exists! That´s unfair! I want a 5 cyl engine in my auto and i cann´t buy it in deutschland! XD No really i have to buy an improted jetta from the USA just to have this engine!

  • fuck you

  • a corolla jajajajajaja , reliability !!!!!!!!!! what you say now !

  • lol you break you pay hahaha jk.. Volkswagen does make amazing cars, a true conosseur will notice the effort from its engineers right away. He didnt mention the door openers that are also standard, you can pull once on the handle and the door unlocks, you pull again and the door opens..

  • That door handle thing is not anything new....VWs have been like that...that feature is freaking annoying anyway.

  • CONTINUED:

Volkswagen could have done better on the Jetta MK5 platform. The Jetta was always a fun car inside out but on the MK5 it balanced more into the confort/classy -ness.. I should note the beauty of other cars like the Passat, which in this platform they went all out..

  • And again...during 1998-2005 model years...VW was a class leader when it came to design, fit and finish, and material quality....Now they have slipped a bit...i know i sound like i am bashing VW quite a bit..but i hate when companies take a good thing (German engineering)....and make them seem very generic and quite frankly...JAPANESE!...(minus the reliability)

  • I asked my cousin over in Germany...(who is a major petrol head)....what is being said there about some of the new VW/Audis....He said that they are getting some criticism for feeling "front end light"....Apparently when you go over 125mph they start to feel a bit jittery...which is not a good thing on German motorways...Germans are very particular about stability....dont get me wrong...they ARE German..so they ARE stable...lol...the previous ones (2005 and earlier) were just a bit better..

  • "Better parts"...if you say so....Thats what my VW dealer always tells me when I get the bill for yet another repair...Of course they call it a correction...not a repair...lol....Im on my third VW now that I just traded my Jetta for a new Passat....I love the brand....but i still stand firm when I say the 2005 redesigns took Volkswagen a step in the wrong direction.

  • cool man

  • Thanks!

  • The previous generation Jettas just had a higher quality feel. They felt more (dare I say) like my dad's Audi...I like how my previous 2003 Jetta had that quirky yet distictive-boxy look. My new 2008 jetta has that "melted in the sun" look like all these Japanese cars driving around...The new Jettas don't feel quite as planted as the older ones at highway speeds either...My aunt lives in Germany and i've driven on the autobahn..her 2003 golf (german spec) feels more stable than my new Jetta.

  • I disagree, my 2007 GTi is AMAZING at 100+ MPH, I have taken it on the track and tested it's top speed over and over again. 139MPH feels like you're doing 75MPH.

  • Also, I couldn't help but notice that they decided not to carpet the underside of the engine hood. My previous 2003 Jetta's was...I thought you said they weren't into cost-cutting measures...Again, it is stupid that they made their engines so hard to work on. My experience with VW dealers has not been good. Plus the fact that VWs don't have the best reliabilty ratings...I also know this from experience. VWs are appealing to younger people like me (im 18). but don't make them hard to work on.

  • VW's aren't hard to work on, you just have to know what you're doing. You can't buy parts at your local auto parts store but, that's because they are better parts.

  • The sales guy is extremly prof. in presenting the car.. he really knows how to show you the adv.of the car and convince you of it.. very impressive !

  • Thank you! They tell us to hang on the doors when we are in training. :)

  • awesome review, its funny but when i was getting my jetta in July ... the salesperson hung on the door just like this guy to prove how strong the hindges are haha

  • it seems like a aunt car's

  • Hmmmm not sure what that means...

  • Roseville VW in Roseville CA! :)

  • Good to know! Visit Philly anytime

  • Never been there! I'e only ever been to the East Coast once.

  • well tis the season, winter and spring are the best to visit. Philly and NYC are amazing in those two seasons, so much to see and do. The weather can be a bit much with it being so damn cold BUT its all part of the cities charm! There is nothing else like it.

  • You did a Great job of pointing out some of the features of the Jetta, I own a 2008 Jetta SE (should have waited for the Wolfsburg) I love my car, from the way it drives, the safety features and of course all the standards that make this a have to have! Also I would have totally purchased my car from you, you are absolutely the cutest car sales guy I have ever seen!! Don't even know what state youre in but i work for an airline and I would have flown.

  • Excellent review! I wish all VW sales are knowledgable like you!

  • I wish all sales people in general would take the time to learn about their product.

So many sales people never learn anything about their product. It's sooooo annoying to ask them questions.

  • I love my 2008 Jetta SE! Yes...he is cute...I would've driven up(?) to Roseville instead of staying in Walnut Creek to buy mine had I seen this video...cool, confident, enthusiastic...refreshing. Good job.

  • Man! That's too bad. Make sure you tell your friends and family to head up this way!

    Thanks.

  • Awesome review man. Thanks a lot!

  • Not a problem. Hopefully it helped you get a VW.

  • It did! haha

2009 jetta wolfsburg actually. And I love it.

  • Awesome! Congrats!

  • he knows how to get customers' attention. And yet, everything he said and showed about VW JETTA is true. I love my Jetta.

  • omg this guy is so hot..

  • Pretty cool way of showing a car. Is this kid an actor? Does he do any more acrobatics?

  • Well, I did some acting in high school.

What kind of acrobatics!? I'm game for almost anything.
