i've been feeling like i live in a pretty anti-christian world lately, seeing someone with the status of ronal reagan talk so openly about Jesus makes me feel better, God Bless :)
It's sad to think that the words Reagan uses in the above video are so alien to our culture today. It's unfortunate that Reagan's gone while loons like Carter continue to linger like a bad odor. But Reagan's legacy is one that continues to live in each of us who hold to the principles that founded the USA. Those principles are timeless, and it's up to US, under God, to see those principles taught, and valued, by the next generation. If we do so, Reagan's legacy can never die! God Bless America!!
My, how times have changed since I voted for the first time in 1980. I proudly voted for Reagan and would do it again. I miss him too. Oh, for another leader like this one.
Listening to Reagan speak, was like listening to my father. I had immense love, and respect for both. Reagan wasn't afraid to tell you where he stood, eventhough his position could be a tenuous one at best.
They both, as do I, love God, Country, and Family. It was my honor to have lived among such great men as these, and only hope in some meager way that one day I too may be able to Serve this Great Nation as both of these men have.
May God Bless them both. RIP (I love you Dad and Mom).
I miss Ron too. He was a brilliant actor. And he convinced all of us - our entire nation - that we could all get rich by borrowing money. Brilliant indeed. Obama is his legacy.
@billybronco1 - I think we have heard Barry loud and clear... With every bow to muslim leaders, and every false claim about this not being a Christian nation, as well as every Christian holiday he shows his disregard. We did not know how good we had it while President Reagan served this nation, but the contrast becomes clear when compared to the dimness of the current occupant of The Peoples' House.
I fondly remember the beginning of the 80's, I was considered "upper middle class" then. Now I'm just one of the 99 percent. Ahhhh the early Reagan days.
I grew up in the 80s and back then WHILE he was President, Reagain was hated by republicans. Now he is hailed as the greatest republican President ever. That's fine by me, but remember one thing, he raised taxes on the rich far more an any other President in History. I am cool with Reagan and any other good President. I don't condone hatred. Just fairness. Now let the slamming begin
What a great man President Reagan was. Comparing the greatness between Reagan and Obama, obama is almost as big as a pimple on Reagans ass.
I'm guessing the 15 that disliked this are obama, pelosi, reid, bawney fwank, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, bin laden and a few others that support islamic terrorism.
To those who definitely don't understand...... 1. JESUS the CHRIST Was a JEW & if it wasn't for HIM, the Jew, we wouldn't have Christianity OR your Christmas holiday, 2. Israel is the ONLY Allie we Have AND can Trust. 3. And the Jews who killed & still kill the Jews are no different then us Americans killing Americans.
Therefore, the Christians and the Jewish celebrate each other together.
@Waratahoftroy ...You seem to be in the minority my friend. The true spirit of Christmas comes from within, as Reagan speaks of, and the hopes of a peaceful earth and the respect of all religions.
I liked this until I saw the Jewish menorah, why the hell would that be there at Chistmas? The Jews rejected Christ and demanded he be executed. Whats more there are so few Jews in America percentage wise, it seems sinister that their religious symbols get air time at a Presidential address at Christmas. Think about it. Why not show Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Shinto, and Native American religious symbols as well? I suppose because none of those groups own the president's ass.
@AndreHiltre What place does a fascist like you to listen to the words of Ronald Reagan? and another thing... What place do YOU hold to punish the Jews!? NONE! IT IS IN GOD'S DOMAIN TO JUDGE OTHERS ACTIONS!! NOT YOURS! You seem to "claim" to be a Christian. If you were truly a God fearing, God loving, Christian, you would understand. For the Good book says, Love thy neighbor as you love yourself. God bless you
@thatdamyank33 Yoy are obviously a person of extremely low IQ. Your comment had no relevance to my point! I was simply pointing out that Christmas is a Christian festival, therefore it would seem odd to show another religious symbol at this time. And IF you are going to do it then why not all religions? Why a HJewish symbol? The answer: The Jews own the US Presidency.
@AndreHiltre Oh I'm going to be completely honest, I don't even remember making that comment haha. I apoligize because after reading your first comment, I understand the point that you were trying to make.. I really am sorry, forgive me, I really don't know why I said ANY of that. I don't know what I thought that you said, but normally, I would be agreeing with you! It doesn't make any sense for there to be a Jewish symbol in the white house haha.
AndreHiltre, Jesus observed the celebration of Hanukkah (John 10:22-39), and just like Jesus many Christians observe Hanukkah with their Jewish brothers.
Religion is much like having an imaginary friend, comforting to think its there but it can't be proven that it exists. So to all of you fools out there that believe in this crappy I say pucker up and kiss the ass of the man who wrote the book, because you have been living his lies for thousands of years.
@bluesroll99 The insane has said in his heart "There is no God." You just want people to kiss your ass because you think you're special for some reason. Just remember this; If there is no God all things are permissable. Because right and wrong are your opinion which leaves you wide open to whatever I wish to do to you according to my own code of values, as long as I can provide the necessary force to do so. Merry Christmas insane man.
80s were something else, there will never be another decades like the 80s. If you were a child of the 80s, like me, you'd know. I don't think we can talk about the 80s without talking about Ronnie. I'm not an American but I miss Ronnie too!
@ralphblaylock The sad thing is that our kids don't realize any of this because they don't have anyone to compare Obama to. We all know what human decency and respect are but they can't begin to fathom that what they are seeing now is not only wrong it is abnormal.
@benfergy Let's remember, Reagan was a sinner like everyone else. The fact that he made mistakes doesn't nullify his faith in Christ, but rather, It magnifies the work of the cross and the grace of God that much more, that he would have mercy on sinners =).
Oh! How I miss Ronald Reagan! Can you imagine Obama giving such a Christmas message? It will never happen, as he'd actually have to say "Christmas" and "Jesus". What do we need to do to bring this Nation back to the values we shared during Reagan's Presidency? We've strayed so far........God help us all!
This explains to us why all the history of ancient and modern States is nothing more than a series of revolting crimes; why present and past kings and ministers of all times and all countries – statesmen, diplomats, bureaucrats, and warriors – if judged from the point of view of simple morality and human justice, deserve a thousand times the gallows of penal servitude.
From its very beginnings it (the State) has been – and still remains – the divine sanction of brutal force and triumphant iniquity. Even in the most democratic countries, like the United States and Switzerland, it is simply the consecration of the privileges of some minority and the actual enslavement of the vast majority...
“Nothing is more dangerous for man’s private morality than the habit of command. The best man, the most intelligent, disinterested, generous, pure, will infallibly and always be spoiled at this trade. Two sentiments inherent in power never fail to produce this demoralization; they are: contempt for the masses and the overestimation of one’s own merits.” – Power Corrupts the Best, 1867
A struggle against all foreign States, every one of which can be strong only if the others are weak. And since the States cannot hold their own in this struggle unless they constantly keep on augmenting their power against their own subjects as well as against other States, it follows that the supreme law of the State is the augmentation of its power to the detriment of internal liberty and external justice.”– The Immorality of the State, 1870
“The supreme law of the State is self-preservation at any cost. All States, ever since they came to exist upon the earth, have been condemned to perpetual struggle, a struggle against their own populations, whom they oppress and ruin.
@rap1028 This state built the railroads. Wiped out polio. Landed a man on the moon. Created the best worker safety programs and the most envied middle class this world will ever know. Waged simultaneous war in Europe and the Pacific. Funded the development of the computer. Funded the development of the 747, an international air travel staple. Spurred Silicon Valley development with demand. Your flippant quote fails. And the more you denigrate public servants, the more incompetent they become.
Shocked by this video as to how far we have FALLEN, He speaks directly of the Prince of Peace, that child born in Bethlehem 2,000 years ago...Trusting in GOD.... America has forgotten the Prince of Peace, especially the leadership class.
I love it when liberals expose their arrogance...read a book? Which book (s)? Please....a retarded conservative? Name calling and negative charcterizations clearly indicate your level of ignorance. It is okay to come out of the closet and claim to the world that you are a socialist. And it appears you are from the state of Taxachusetts. Your comments have no validity because of your condescending and lofty rhetoric.
@rap1028 Reagan called the poor welfare queens. He told outright lies about how many identities and how much one woman stole to justify the name, even after it was pointed out to him by the press his story was inaccurate. Reagan, of course, grew up with a drunk of a father on FDR relief. So to call the nation's poor "welfare queens" deserves my utmost contempt for him, his record-setting criminal administration, and for his shameless followers.
@seanabryan What is your point? Reagan grew up with a drunk of a father on FDR relief....Sooooooo!!!! That in no way should reflect on Reagan himself. If government is so good at helping the poor then why do they still exist? The poor will always be with us. we all have an individual responsibility to them. it is not the state's responsibility. it is yours and mine.
@rap1028 The rate of Americans living below the poverty line increased under Reagan, Bush Sr., and Bush Jr. Only during Clinton's administration did average net worth increase and the amount of poor below the poverty line decline. That's my point. Reagan mocked the programs that fed his family. That's my point.
@seanabryan The power of the media to idoctrinate the likes of you. The ranks of the poor are growing at a faster rate today then under any president.
This is a wonderful reminder of what this nation used to be and can once again be given the vigilance of American Patriots who are in the process of holding politicians accountable for their ill-intended actions and selfishness. Our path is clearly lined back to Liberty, Freedom and our true pursuit of Happiness! Socialists, Marxists, Communists be damned, We the People will NOT tolerate being tread on by those who plan on America's demise! God is on our side!
Ronald Reagan loved America and wanted America to be what America was envisioned to be about from the beginning. Obama is like the whackjob new girlfriend who immediately tries to change you into her ex, telling you what to wear, how to act, and isolating you from your long-time friends, an all the while she's flirting with the other guys.
"I don't care if a person uses notes. It is nowhere as bad as our current teleprompter-addicted, juvenile President." So you're willing to cut a break for Reagan, huh? Surprise. The Soviet Union was in decline and collapsed from the inside out. Another well documented piece of history incongruous with the Reagan myth. Read a book. His "Time for Choosing" speech? Reagan was the model of government inefficiency, cutting everything but the military and allowing the DoD to spend $500 on ashtrays.
@sabbry87 yeah bud he cut costs because in a declining economy you cant raise costs, or spend more. You need to lower the rate of everything to a point where the average middle class family can live off of. Thats how the economy grows again. Obama is clearly doing the opposite and we have seen our economy fall to shit. Triple the national debt in 2 years, now thats a feat Reagan could never do.
@keychaser1 If this is true, why did the net worth of the rich take off while the net worth of the middle class family move in the opposite direction? If Reagan was for you, shouldn't everyone suffer and recover together, as Americans? Or is it just possible you've never read a book and you don't realize a huckster for the rich when you see one (as most small town dwellers don't)?
@sabbry87 So, in other words, you'd rather everyone just be equally miserable? Because there's no way you can ever guarantee an income of 6 figures to everyone in this nation.
One thing I can count on, with you liberals, you'll never let common sense get the best of you!
@ToddonCapeCod Creating conditions for high-paying jobs is not the same as guaranteeing six figure incomes. And you'd either have to be completely retarded or lack the skills necessary for debate to pervert my words so. Read. A. Book.
@keychaser1 Obama included the war debt for the first time in the budget, absorbing the actual cost of Bush's 7 years of war — as he should have done. Those wars were really worth the expenditure, weren't they? Reagan tripled the national debt, and for the first time since this country's founding, turned us into a debtor nation to make up for the shortfall not included in that tripling of the national debt.
@ToddonCapeCod Hey, how bout you sack up like my grandparents did to ensure their kids and grandkids weren't handed the World War II debt? Pay higher taxes, in the same way you'd pay more towards a credit card with a high balance. Read. Travel. Study. Or stay a retarded Conservative and undo 50 years of progress and growing incomes like your moron actor who grew up on FDR relief and conveniently forgot about it.
@ToddonCapeCod I never agreed with is policy never to raise taxes. Between 1980 and 2005, car travel increased 90%. The trucking industry grew by 110% percent. Road investment grew by 3%. (Yay, free market stepping up to the plate... again read books not pawned off on you by the Fox News circuit). Infrastructure reinvestment is going to cost money. Sorry. That's life. Start "caring about your kids and grandchildren" and INVEST in the America they'll inherit.
@ToddonCapeCod I ask that you do as Reagan suggested: verify, then trust. Would a man who loved this country lower corporate taxes claiming it would spur reinvestment, neuter the SEC and usher in a 300% increase in mergers and acquisitions, and allow corporate reinvestment to hit a rock-bottom average of 2.3% while it had been 3% or more up until he entered office? Doesn't sound very American to me. In fact, it sounds like a complete perversion of the America I was encouraged to love.
@seanabryan Would a president who loved this country call a clear majority of Americans "bitter clingers"? Would a president who loved this country is "uh, no longer what it once was"? WOuld a president who loved this country generate nearly $10 trillion in cumulative budget deficits over the next 10 years, $1.2 trillion more than the administration projected, and raise the federal debt to 90 percent of the nation's economic output by 2020. Or believe there are 57 states here??!?!
@ToddonCapeCod Reagan put those same "clingers" out of of their family farms in droves. Over 400,000 family farmers foreclosed on their mortgages during his presidency — an unrivaled record. Would you rather have a livelihood or have an actor-politician praise small-town virtues and then only return to his hometown 4 times in 60 years to either promote a movie or a political run? The latter is Reagan.
@ToddonCapeCod In response to your claim that Obama has spent more than all US presidents combined: that original story was only up until Reagan (leaving out modern presidents), it didn't include debt that had been paid, and it did not account for inflation. A shoddy study. But hey, Googling the story gives you 20 pages of "think tanks." The Conservative delusion is alive and well!
@ToddonCapeCod Reagan said 51 billion dollars a year in regulations were holding back the economy. The yearly economic benefit of those regulations? 56 illion dollars.
@seanabryan Oh, and in response to what you commented, but removed -- telling me you yourself don't really believe it.... that America cannot survive another Reagan -- yet, you believe we can survive Obama?!?!?!?!!?!?!?
@seanabryan Would a president who loved this country, leave a press conference regarding our economy, and leave the presser in the hands of a former president to handle -- while he ducked off to a Christmas party, so his wife wouldn't get mad?!?!?!!
@seanabryan Yes, Corporations don't pay taxes, a corporate tax cut is a cut in the price of goods and services, if corporations paid taxes there wouldn't be a corporation left in this country. Do you think a tax increase on any corporation comes out of the pockets of it's officers? Get real.
@ToddonCapeCod Oh my God. I just realized you told me to stop revising history. REAGAN TRIPLED THE DEBT. GO LOOK IT UP. He borrowed from other nations to pay for his tax cuts. He supported faux freedom fighters in South America and condoned the murder of 6 million people. READ A BOOK.
@sabbry87 He condoned the murder of 6 million people?!?!
I am just flabbergasted, that there are idiots like you, still in this world!
And I suggest you get your head out of Obama's ass and take a look at what he's done to the debt, and has STILL to create ONE SINGLE sustainable job!!!!!
Why would we want another actor in office, much less one suffering from Alzheimers disease? Did everyone forget the Iran Contra Deal Ollie North made and Reagan swore he knew nothing about and/or that he couldn't remember? Seriously folks... And remember, the Constitution itself was written to separate church and state... For good reason, looking back over the thousands of years of fighting between religious sects in the mideast for land ownership.
It's like looking back at an old photo. Change happens faster than you'd like. It's a fact that we are a godless country, but I totally had forgotten that we actually had God to this degree in the White House. We've been like a bunch of lobsters just slowly fading to death. The Cold War days were certainly the best in this country. Who will be the next Ronald Reagan?
@LLCoolTrey91 You are the absolute truth, that American History has been changed. You obviously know nothing about history. I suppose you think that we should take all the money from the rich in this country and give it to the poor. I have a great Idea. Why don't we take all Bill Gates' money and give it to you. You probably think you deserve it as much as he does.....If you have a job, it is because of some rich guy thta chooses to pay you instead of the Government.
@rockinran Bill Gates, along with Warren Buffett, believe there taxes should be raised. Reagan on the TV was not the Reagan that was. In the smallest of meetings, he read from 3x5 index cards. He said he couldn't answer questions because his handlers wouldn't let him. He encouraged mergers and lingering American inefficiency was compounded. He recounted the plot of War Games at a defense meeting. His administration had more criminals than any in history. Oil lobbyists refurnished the White House
@sabbry87 With all due respect, if Bill Gates and Warren Buffet think THEY are not paying enough in taxes, they could be writing checks right now to the government, but they are not. Why is that, do you think? Primarily, all their wealth is already earned, and it isn't wealth they want to tax, but earnings. They are already wealthy, so Warren, Blll and Melinda are not talking about taxing their richness, just YOUR income. Bill's dad tried to sell WA on a state a tax bill, too, and FAILED. YAY!
@logmeindangit Is there an argument somewhere in there? Perhaps you should take a cue from your hero Ronnie and start speaking off 3 x 5 index cards in the smallest of settings. Reagan was an actor, nothing more (even though his acting was laughable). Merry Christmas everyone!
@sabbry87 Hmmm... no argument, only a little better picture of reality. Sorry, it's a little hazy for me - could you remind me what president ended the cold war without firing a single shot? Oh, right, the man with the 3x5 note cards. "Just an actor." Good luck with that shallow opinion. And who, pray tell, wrote his famous recorded speech against socialism back in the 1960s? I don't care if a person uses notes. It is nowhere as bad as our current teleprompter-addicted, juvenile President.
@logmeindangit Are we to believe government is the problem? The one that built the railroads? Vaccinated its population against polio? Waged simultaneous war through to absolute victory in Europe and the Pacific? Landed men on the moon? Outperformed the free market in food costs? Created the highest standard of living ever known on this earth for a middle class?
Even Ronnie Reagan's family lived off FDR's relief programs in Dixon, IL. (What a welfare queen).
@sabbry87"Even Ronnie Reagan's family lived off FDR's relief programs in Dixon, IL. (What a welfare queen)." Get back to us when your in a soup line, because of this marxist president, who claims to be improving things. We never had it so good as a country, when "Ronnie" was president.
@vonbassenheim Pesidents don't create jobs. Presidents either leave the American people alone to do that or they tax them so heavily that there is no more incentive to produce. Our current president has not helped the situation because you can't spend your way out of debt.
And before you go there.....I blame Bush for starting the bailouts and spending, but one two wrongs don't make a right.
In today's mix-and-match, afraid-to-alienate society, you would never hear a message like this one come from the White House. It's sad that some would take offense to this. These are the very social and religious philosophies that America was founded on. They have been lost in a political and social agenda that says we should give all equal voice. Diversity, yes. Losing our history and the foundation of our country, no. I pray for a leader like this again.

A speech like this will never again, during my lifetime, eminate from the Oval Office. Maybe during my childrens, or maybe my grandchildrens lifetime. We can only pray.
What has our country come to? Thanks for posting this! It puts things into perspective. Our country was founded on God, and our country's leaders used to respect and promote that.
I didn't agree with everything Ronald Reagan did as President...some things made me mad, like the striking air traffic controllers. But you knew he meant what he said. This was not a "photo op" to him. President Reagan was not only well-spoken, but his words had actual meaning and substance. No flowery rhetoric here. Plus, he wasn't afraid to talk to the nation about Jesus on Christmas! What a revelation!
This "guy" was truly one of our nation's best leaders ever! He believed in all the virtures of America, a land of opportunity for all, a nation of sacrifice for others, and a country dedicated to the proposition that all are created equal. I was honored to cast my first presidential vote for the "guy," and I named my son after this "guy," who happens to have won the cold war without a weaponed fired, who made us all proud to be from the USA, this "guy," President Ronald Reagan!
This guy was a true loser. He was held in contempt. People joke about him. He should have been kicked out of office. He lost his mind while he still was in office. He gave america its homeless problem. Enough bad things cannot be said about him. He was just an actor, a pawn for the rich. He truly was a stooge. He was a stain on the honor of this country selling arms for hostages and waging secret wars. He had no honor.
Especially what he did with the Weaver family at Ruby Ridge, then using tanks on civilians in WACO, killing all those moms, dads, and children. Then when Regan flew the planes into the twin towers, while Nancy created the Patriot Act. Oh and the Gulf wars, and that foolish attack on the pro American Serbs, using NATO to attack against it's own charter. He was a horrible president!
It's no different than these obamanites blaming everything on George Bush who is no longer president and isn't a concern. Obama on the other hand is our new concern but they would rather go back a few years than address the monster in front of their faces.
We would support any President that upholds the Consitution of the US not the European or Socialist Unions. We would support any President who defends freedom and respects the religious founding of the greatest nation on earth. No other has done more, given more and defended more than the United States of America. God Bless Us Everyone.
President Reagan was a Christian man. His fellow Christian Americans were grateful for his words. President Obama is free to state his beliefs.....
If the Pagan Community wants to post comments regarding the worship of Winter or Spring Solstice they are free to do so. Create their own site and go for it. There is no reason to tarnish this beautiful message. I'll leave you alone in your beliefs...............
To the one who asked, "...if we had a Jewish president, would everyone be so supportive of them if a Hanukkah address was given? "
To this I would respond, "Gladly!" Hanukkah represents a miracle by the living God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. A dey of dedication that even Yeshua (Jesus) celebrated. It has an awesome history.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
That 'living god' - is it the monster who wanted Isaac to murder his son? So murder is OK with that thing as long as it requested it? It's about as real as the entigties the Hindus worship although more evil than some of them.
Obviously, you do not know what you are talking about. God never told Isaac to murder his son. Do your homework before coming on this forum with your slander.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You are right and I was wrong. It was Abraham who was about to murder Isaac and sacrifice him to the monster as a burnt offering. Luckily in the nick of time the monster declined the offering - it was just a test to see if the father would go as far as to murder his son - and Isaac was saved. However the monster still de
desired blood, as monsters are inclined to do, so an animal had to be killed. And you believe all this biblical garbage? What is wrong with you people?
You were wrong in all ways. Yes, it was Abraham, but no, the murderous monster is your libel of the God of Abraham. Since you know nothing of the scriptures, you also know nothing of what Abraham believed God would do regarding his son. He KNEW it was a prophecy of the coming Messiah, and that God would raise Isaac from the dead to fulfill His promise of Abraham having a future lineage. ref. Hebrews 11:19
@rschneblin actually he did but it was only test of faith as soon as the sword was picked up God comdanded him to stop and told him where there was a sheep
Thank-you Mr. Reagan for using the word Christmas, unlike our current president when he addressed us in 2011.

AndreHiltre 8 months ago
@AndreHiltre What place does a fascist like you to listen to the words of Ronald Reagan? and another thing... What place do YOU hold to punish the Jews!? NONE! IT IS IN GOD'S DOMAIN TO JUDGE OTHERS ACTIONS!! NOT YOURS! You seem to "claim" to be a Christian. If you were truly a God fearing, God loving, Christian, you would understand. For the Good book says, Love thy neighbor as you love yourself. God bless you
thatdamyank33 8 months ago
@thatdamyank33 Yoy are obviously a person of extremely low IQ. Your comment had no relevance to my point! I was simply pointing out that Christmas is a Christian festival, therefore it would seem odd to show another religious symbol at this time. And IF you are going to do it then why not all religions? Why a HJewish symbol? The answer: The Jews own the US Presidency.
AndreHiltre 6 months ago
@AndreHiltre Oh I'm going to be completely honest, I don't even remember making that comment haha. I apoligize because after reading your first comment, I understand the point that you were trying to make.. I really am sorry, forgive me, I really don't know why I said ANY of that. I don't know what I thought that you said, but normally, I would be agreeing with you! It doesn't make any sense for there to be a Jewish symbol in the white house haha.

This explains to us why all the history of ancient and modern States is nothing more than a series of revolting crimes; why present and past kings and ministers of all times and all countries – statesmen, diplomats, bureaucrats, and warriors – if judged from the point of view of simple morality and human justice, deserve a thousand times the gallows of penal servitude.
rap1028 1 year ago
From its very beginnings it (the State) has been – and still remains – the divine sanction of brutal force and triumphant iniquity. Even in the most democratic countries, like the United States and Switzerland, it is simply the consecration of the privileges of some minority and the actual enslavement of the vast majority...
rap1028 1 year ago

@rap1028 The rate of Americans living below the poverty line increased under Reagan, Bush Sr., and Bush Jr. Only during Clinton's administration did average net worth increase and the amount of poor below the poverty line decline. Reagan was the model of government inefficiency, cutting everything but the military and allowing the DoD to spend $500 on ashtrays.
sabbry87 1 year ago
@sabbry87 yeah bud he cut costs because in a declining economy you cant raise costs, or spend more. You need to lower the rate of everything to a point where the average middle class family can live off of. Thats how the economy grows again. Obama is clearly doing the opposite and we have seen our economy fall to shit. Triple the national debt in 2 years, now thats a feat Reagan could never do.
keychaser1 1 year ago
@keychaser1 If this is true, why did the net worth of the rich take off while the net worth of the middle class family move in the opposite direction? If Reagan was for you, shouldn't everyone suffer and recover together, as Americans? Or is it just possible you've never read a book and you don't realize a huckster for the rich when you see one (as most small town dwellers don't)?
sabbry87 1 year ago
@sabbry87 So, in other words, you'd rather everyone just be equally miserable? Because there's no way you can ever guarantee an income of 6 figures to everyone in this nation.

ToddonCapeCod 1 year ago
@ToddonCapeCod Creating conditions for high-paying jobs is not the same as guaranteeing six figure incomes. And you'd either have to be completely retarded or lack the skills necessary for debate to pervert my words so. Read. A. Book.
sabbry87 1 year ago
@keychaser1 Obama included the war debt for the first time in the budget, absorbing the actual cost of Bush's 7 years of war — as he should have done. Those wars were really worth the expenditure, weren't they? Reagan tripled the national debt, and for the first time since this country's founding, turned us into a debtor nation to make up for the shortfall not included in that tripling of the national debt.
Read. A. Book.

In fact, it sounds like a complete perversion of the America I was encouraged to love.
seanabryan 1 year ago
@seanabryan Would a president who loved this country call a clear majority of Americans "bitter clingers"? Would a president who loved this country is "uh, no longer what it once was"? WOuld a president who loved this country generate nearly $10 trillion in cumulative budget deficits over the next 10 years, $1.2 trillion more than the administration projected, and raise the federal debt to 90 percent of the nation's economic output by 2020. Or believe there are 57 states here??!?!
ToddonCapeCod 1 year ago
@ToddonCapeCod Reagan put those same "clingers" out of of their family farms in droves. Over 400,000 family farmers foreclosed on their mortgages during his presidency — an unrivaled record. Would you rather have a livelihood or have an actor-politician praise small-town virtues and then only return to his hometown 4 times in 60 years to either promote a movie or a political run? The latter is Reagan.
seanabryan 1 year ago
@ToddonCapeCod In response to your claim that Obama has spent more than all US presidents combined: that original story was only up until Reagan (leaving out modern presidents), it didn't include debt that had been paid, and it did not account for inflation. Oil lobbyists refurnished the White House
sabbry87 1 year ago
@sabbry87 With all due respect, if Bill Gates and Warren Buffet think THEY are not paying enough in taxes, they could be writing checks right now to the government, but they are not. Why is that, do you think? Primarily, all their wealth is already earned, and it isn't wealth they want to tax, but earnings. They are already wealthy, so Warren, Blll and Melinda are not talking about taxing their richness, just YOUR income. Bill's dad tried to sell WA on a state a tax bill, too, and FAILED. YAY!

@MEDIC38572 It was sarcastic and purposeful ;)
It's no different than these obamanites blaming everything on George Bush who is no longer president and isn't a concern. Obama on the other hand is our new concern but they would rather go back a few years than address the monster in front of their faces.

Outstanding - powerful - but humble words.

FlorrieLindley 2 years ago
You were wrong in all ways. Yes, it was Abraham, but no, the murderous monster is your libel of the God of Abraham. Since you know nothing of the scriptures, you also know nothing of what Abraham believed God would do regarding his son. He KNEW it was a prophecy of the coming Messiah, and that God would raise Isaac from the dead to fulfill His promise of Abraham having a future lineage. ref. Hebrews 11:19
