  • Hey Dony, whats wrong with a propane torch. I think you melted the pully off with that thing!

  • I'm doing the same repair on my 724 and am trying to figure out which way the flange side of the bushing (auger or pulley side) so I would love to see part 2!

  • @pete55398 i'll have part 2 up thursday, part 3 will be up probably monday ot tuesday and it will show that

  • @donyboy73 any chance I could get a early answer on the flange side? The old one had the flange toward the auger. I'm guessing that you install it all snug (auger/bushing/pulley)..boy I wish I had a repair manual!

  • @pete55398 auger, shallow flange, bushing, spherical flange, small washer, pulley

  • @donyboy73 Great that helps out a lot. The part breakdown that I have shows a washer on either side of the bushing. Also the bushing has one side that has a brass flange and the other side does not..(I should have down a better job in explaining) does the flange side of the bushing go toward the auger?

  • @pete55398 i wasn't sure because it was all busted when i took t off so i put it toward auger

  • where can i get those pullers

  • @shinyfuzzy usually at an auto store

  • What kind of welder do you have and how much current was you using ? I have that same torch bought it at a yard sale but with no instructions . This video is great I have a old Montgomery wards snowblower I got for free and it has the same problem but the bolts broke off that hold the belt keeper on and when I tried drilling it out drill bit broke off in side hole now I can not get it out.

  • @ncrdisabled a lincoln 225ac and the power was set at 90. i have a video called "demonstration of the carbon arc torch"

  • He said two nuts...

  • @motorhead1 LOL

  • You make difficult work look easy!!

  • just sold the same blower that i found on the side of the road for $180 just had to replace the carb and points clean. everything was good except one tire was blown apart from too much pressure

  • Glad to see you showed that everything does not always just come apart when working on old worn out equipment. I really enjoy your real life videos.

  • @647762816 thanks

  • Those pulleys are really stuck on there sometimes,I remember when I did mine, had to heat It up a few times.Awesome slack In that bearing.lol

  • I have a Toro 1132 that is 15 years old that I just bought.

I noticed, while changing the auger belt that there was some play in the auger pully bushing/bearing but not as much as the one you are working on.

I will have to replace it in the spring, hoping it will last all winter. This video will sure help me. Thanks a lot.
