@chromegolaith Yes. FL Studios is a very extensive program allowing you to do really anything with music. I make dubstep, some people make live-sounding heavy metal, others do remixes. You can literally make any sound.

Hi thanks for this video, really does help...but one question Im tryin to remix a jazz kinda classical song but the problem is that the voice itself doesnt go with the metronome I guess cause the singer is more classical so doesnt follow some kinda the metronome or beat to sing...so its making the process of remixing it really difficult cause I cant really put any drums or kicks on it cause it sounds like its not on time....basically how can i make the voice fit with the timing (metronome/beats)

@2Trackmakersrecords Man i hear ya. All you can really do is find an average tempo. The bpm that would be the most relevant for the entire song. Then you could take the slicer tool (on the top left of the playlist, looks like a switch blade or something) then cut up some of the words or syllables where it goes off slightly, then having the lock set to (none) (top left again, hit the magnet) push it to the left (or maybe to the right) slightly to get it on beat. Try and make it sound natural.

@2Trackmakersrecords Move the vocals to the playlist, double click on the waveform. Go to the mixer and link the channel to the mixer. Then there will be 8 slots, open one up and open the fruity vocoder. :)

@SilkEclipse Has to do with a recent bug with FL. Try converting it to .wav or possibly upgrading/downgrading a few versions.

ie. 10.02 -> 10.08

@nizi5401 The first note of the bassline or chord progression will give you an idea of what key it's probably in, to find out the scale, you'll have to simply look at the progression of bassline, the mood of the song, etc. If the first note was C, for example, we know C major uses no black notes, so if the chord progression uses, lets say, D# then it's probably minor, get it?

@JDthunder1524 You can get sweep samples, i use VEC vol 1 2 and 3 (Vengeance Essential Clubsounds). which is a sample pack, a really big one. Look it up and see if you can get it :)

@bennguyenn Yes, those are the default samples. I have my own sample pack called "Vengeance Essential Clubsounds" vol. 1, 2 and 3. The channel there are there, are my kick, hats, claps, just like you but the actual instrument is way better. I also have a few synth plugins like Sylenth1 and Nexus 2. You should look into all this, if you serious about FL.

@DJCKonings So you want the vocals to be in half time then? Did you try double clicking on the vocals' channel, right clicking on the 'time' knob in the channel settings. Auto detect, choose 'type in BPM' type 70 bpm.. then hit 'resample' and change it to 'pro transiant'.

Hey! Great tutorial! Could you maybe do a tutorial on how to make a lead synth to go with the acapella? Example: If you were to play the acapella and the synth line back, they would be in perfect/good rhythm with each other.

@Glambert1102 I could do, but when you think about, the acapella and your project is being played at the exact same tempo, therefor making your lead 'go with it' is a simple as 1. staying on beat and 2. staying in tune with the song.

Its so simple, a tutorial would almost be unnecessary. pm me if you need any extra help though :)

I'm writing a song now, and the snares don't sound very good with the kick and the lead synth doesn't go with the bass line. @hm0ngg1rl1 That sounds like a basic mix to me. That's what DJs usually do (aside from the loops, effects scratching, etc) You can however do this on FL Studio, but it is easier on Virtual DJ. Remixing and mixing songs are two different things. :)

@Alonjy Hmm, either its a bug, or you're not actually following every rule for the password. Every password needs to at least have 6 digits, you can't have like "aaaaa1" you need to mix the letters and have at least 1 number.

@JoeTheBored and acapella is just vocals. Like, an 'acapella' version of a song would be the original song, without any instrumentals what so ever. we use them so that we can add our own instruments behind the vocals (acapella) and yes, yes they are just .mp3 files.
