He's meant to be sarcastic and rude and kind of a dick. Same as Simon Amstell being rude to/mocking guests on Pop World and then on Buzzcocks. Same as Charlie Brooker, Jack Dee, Frankie Boyle, or any number of other comedians who are loved by many for their ascerbic wit and utter rudeness.

All we have out is dizzee rascal (who sounds like a seagull during mating season.), anonymous repetitve droning and draconianally patronising indie, dance which was as original as vic reeves bafta for originality.
