It was certainly rediculous how Germany had that game gift wrapped for them, I hope they sent Hugh Dallas a thank you card for not calling the hand ball on the line..I also have no doubt they would have beaten Korea in a rematch...HOWEVER...Korea cheated to win two games so it really should have been USA vs Spain or Italy in the semi final.

lol when the first county outside of europe-south america wins the world cup it will NOT BE the us. i will admit that the us under 21 team is decent and theyu always have decent runs in the olympics because the olymic soccer isnt important at all. also quaterfinals arent impressive at all. given that the only group easier than concaf is oceania and that only allows two teams in. however it is not uncommon 4 a uefa group 2 be england,france,chec republic,bulgaria,russia etc all better than usa

they were good alright, perhaps the best ever in a world cup. They had really solid goltending with Friedel in net. Why on earth did they put that buffon Keller in net instead of Howard or Friedel in 2006?

because Keller was the better goalkeeper at the time. He was one of the best in Germany at the time, and Howard didn't even start on his own team. Oh, and Friedel had already retired from international competition...unfortunately.

Just in the last few weeks ive seen him make some more 'impossible saves'

and in the new Fifa 08 game, Friedel has a higher player rating than howard or keller, go figure.
