Nice bike and nice vid :) the fun part is that my nsr 125 (modded) is faster both in acceleration and top speed than four stroke 250 xD 2stroke = more fun.. u should consider changing that four stroke into, either aprillia RS 250 or Kawasaki kr1 250 2 stroke, more power ;) the fact my uncle got a kr1 and he has modded it and has mapped it for 82bhp ;) beat that with a 250 four stroke muhaha.

Same here man , The ninja 250r is one of the best smaller bikes you can get :) I advice getting one :D ! best thing is , i was like 'o no only a 250CC' for starters bike , then I had to pay insurances and 3 maintenances and now i'm like 'yeah small bikes' ! :P They're cheap and a lot of fun , and when you outgrow it after a while well then sell it and get a better one :) atleast you learned how to drive properly .. lolz..

This totally counts as an overtake, because it's REAL WORLD. A lambo in the REAL WORLD, i.e. a world where traffic exists, is getting passed (yes, LEFT BEHIND) by a motorcycle. The lambo has the potential to be faster, but the guy on the motorcycle will get to his destination sooner.

The truth is that unless you are planning on taking such a bike to a track, or getting yourself killed, why buy a more powerful bike? a status symbol is not worth it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a 250 Ninja. It's incredible value and performance for your money that is more rewarding in the long run.
The suspension and engine isn't that powerfull or has a lot of torque.
A 250cc 2 stroke is the best value to performance. Extremely fast, weighs less then a 4stroke 250 and much more power.
I like 600cc the most on the road, great performance and decent gas mileage. If they would make a 500cc Supersport bike i would probably like it more.
On the race track, my favorite is a aprilia RS250.

@ukmale164 In my opinion riders should not go with a 250 just because it doesn't have enough "oomph" to safely pass cars in case of an emergency (driver goes redneck roadrage and tries to run you off the road). I would go with a Ninja 650 (NOT THE 599c ZX6 becuase that's a bit too powerful, CC isn't all that matters when it comes to performance) because it'll be newb friendly yet it will still have enough power to avoid unwanted situations.

@MrDenniski I downgraded to a 250 and I love it!! I have a lot of fun and get 60mpg+..if you want decent speed go with the kawi...I have a Honda Rebel..but if you are a big guy then I would look at the Yahama V Star 650.

like mine, i've got a Honda CBF 500, it's great on twisties and has a good acceleration even at low RPMs. of corse you have to wait long until you ride the topspeed, but thats not what we're looking for! (mine is like 6 sec to 60mph)

Tough guys with a big mouth with simply no experience who get themselfs killed because they fly out of a corner of just lose control over the bike.that's why i'm driving a 600cc.. is easier to handle.. en fast enough to have fun with! I live near the german border and we dutch bikers go to germany for the beautiful roads there.. also the speedlimit is off so you can hit the trottle sometimes without a ticket
i agree, my first bike was (still is) a yamaha ybr 125, i cant ride anything over 33bhp as im only 19 (have to be 21 in the uk) but its a lovely bike to ride, not that fast, but its a first bike, gotta learn somewhere! im looking to buy a gsxr 400 in summer though :) the ninjua 250r is such a pretty bike, espeically in green or black! :)

@17GAZZANIKON 33 RWHP? or ... otherwise? im 20 with a black 2011 ninja 250R FI and mine has a full Leo vince exhaust system on it which im pretty sure if making it give more than 33 bhp :) going to buy a K&N system for it soon as well. In the future A power commander also. Where I am in Guernsey its small so all I need over here is a load of torque not so much top end.

250 is not a girl bike, it's a great bike in the hands of a skilled driver.
On a 250 you need to have skills to go fast and you will develop them when riding a 'slow" bike(which is still faster then most cars to 60)
A 250cc is a great bike to start out with or to use as a commuting bike.

Not an overtake. The Lambo didnt have anywhere to go,, Had he tried to move he wouldve hit you off the side of the mountain, plus you passed him goin 80mph around a bend. a 250 can barely beat a honda let alone a Lamborghini.

@ukmale164 In my opinion riders should not go with a 250 just because it doesn't have enough "oomph" to safely pass cars in case of an emergency (driver goes redneck roadrage and tries to run you off the road). I would go with a Ninja 650 (NOT THE 599c ZX6 becuase that's a bit too powerful, CC isn't all that matters when it comes to performance) because it'll be newb friendly yet it will still have enough power to avoid unwanted situations.

actually it top speed is 170 on the screen, so real speed is around 160km/h

That would like saying that a Arial atom is a girls car... 250's are small, nippy, and often more fun to drive that a big 1200cc superbike. @Durri01 You have a point lad. my first bike was/is a GSXR-600 but to be honest I can't really push it and have fun on the road at all without massively breaking the law. I'm going to downgrade in the spring for some thing more fun and acceptable for the road. Im thinking maybe a 250R.

@MrDenniski I downgraded to a 250 and I love it!! I have a lot of fun and get 60mpg+..if you want decent speed go with the kawi...I have a Honda Rebel..but if you are a big guy then I would look at the Yahama V Star 650.

like mine, i've got a Honda CBF 500, it's great on twisties and has a good acceleration even at low RPMs. of corse you have to wait long until you ride the topspeed, but thats not what we're looking for! (mine is like 6 sec to 60mph)

@vivasnicky I totally agree with you. Of course, you can learn to drive with a 600cc. I don't want to offend decent bikers. I also like to buy a R1 soon. But I hate the sort of bikers who think they can drive instantly a 1000cc. But they can't 'cause they are only rowdys and have not enough balls and power to keep a 1000cc on the road. The Ambulance has to scrape them off the road every day!

@Durri01 You are right! My brother is a dutch paramedic so i hear the stories.. Tough guys with a big mouth with simply no experience who get themselfs killed because they fly out of a corner of just lose control over the bike.that's why i'm driving a 600cc.. is easier to handle.. en fast enough to have fun with! I live near the german border and we dutch bikers go to germany for the beautiful roads there.. also the speedlimit is off so you can hit the trottle sometimes without a ticket

i agree, my first bike was (still is) a yamaha ybr 125, i cant ride anything over 33bhp as im only 19 (have to be 21 in the uk) but its a lovely bike to ride, not that fast, but its a first bike, gotta learn somewhere! im looking to buy a gsxr 400 in summer though :) the ninjua 250r is such a pretty bike, espeically in green or black! :)

@17GAZZANIKON 33 RWHP? or ... otherwise? im 20 with a black 2011 ninja 250R FI and mine has a full Leo vince exhaust system on it which im pretty sure if making it give more than 33 bhp :) going to buy a K&N system for it soon as well. In the future A power commander also. Where I am in Guernsey its small so all I need over here is a load of torque not so much top end.
