If anyone doesn't read French, Lakeofdespair (who posted in french nine months ago) pretty much said that he/she loves this song but Mariah has a terrible voice and shouldn't sing this. Very "brave" posting in another language thinking no one would respond to the negativity.

@Prieta0426 In my opinion (and many others), the quality of her voice has changed. I would pay big money to hear her sing like this again. Now, she sings very differently and lip sings a lot.

@MkD1891 yep it did. it got lighter and more breathy but also more powerful. i actually love her voice when it was in the middle of changing(95-96) and in 99 when it was just butta. but i still loove her voice because she can still blow. she just isn't in her prime anymore or in her 20's oh well. i'm glad becase her tech. got a whole lot better when she got older!!:) and she3 doesn't lipSYNCH(there is a difference) a lot she lipSynchs but not as much as people say & still her i'm listenin too

@MrButler124 I love her voice in any decade or era, to be honest. She started off very soulful and went into a pop ballad phase, then transformed to a sexy rnb sound. Her live performances were done very closely to the actual record back in the 90's. Now she mixes her capabilities and has even added gospel as another genre to her list. What i like most about the new MC are her ad libs at the end of her songs. Altho her live performances arent perfect, i still love her and her music!

I'm sure most already know this but for those that don't, there's no musical instruments in this entire song. It's all Mariah's voice layering every part. Listen closely and you will hear. She's an amazing talent.

Have to disagree. The point of making it your own is so that your version can't be compared to others because its yours. That's what distinguishes artists from other artists. Hearing the same version over and over would be dreadfully boring.
