You'd rather use a OS that is going to be unsupported this year that's 10 years old and no new programs work for it? Windows Xp gets loaded with malware so it is no good. The best is the newest, Vista and 7. You should also get a Mac, but never use Linux it sucks.

Windows 2000 is still a powerful Operating System which will remain in that state for several more years.

Upgrading is always an option and Vista is a fairly good OS, but 2000 is still really nice.

Lust look at NT 4.0, alot of people still make software for it. NT 4 and 2000 are some of the better OS's of the era.

are you thinking of movie maker on ME - because that could be easily possible (it has an older version already. ME was built on 9x series (DOS based) and 2000 was built on NT, so... i don't think it would work on 2000.
