That was so cool. It's true, you never really think about how it's not all real. You see a thin model or actress in a fashion magazine and you think, "I want to be that skinny, i'm going to make myself that skinny. If she's that skinny, I can be that skinny.".....Ahemmm...Keira Knightley for example.

i dont agree..sometimes people admire their friends/peers ... their beauty obviously is not lies as you see them in real life. the truth it some people are more generaly "pretty" or thin than others...we should tackle it on a level like this aswell.

If you are insecure you will put anyone on a pedastal and think they are better than you, whether its someone in real life or someones face manipulated in a magzine

I agree with rachaelthorne. If we are linking body image with eating disorders (EDs) then it's not really about vanity. EDs are not about vanity and looking good; they're about controlling emotions - especially anxiety. I think that self image, rather than body image is more relevant to EDs. Most people with an ED are aware (or noon recognise) that changing their shape doesn't change their personality or their lives.
