  • Their commando routines were off the chain!!!!

  • PLEACE! NAME SONG AT 6:30 - 7:28 . I need it

  • was there :P

  • Best Boty in History.

  • What song starts at 6:17?

  • HIP HOP !

  • Style elements were the best crew in 1997

    They won the finals easily.

    1998 it was phaze 2

After that, there was a decline in US bboying ... they are still good, especially at some jams, but the other countries caught up immensely.

    I love old school though...

  • one of my fav BOTY. The one Phaze 2 rocked was ill too

  • Who is the popper?

  • @Arman1992 Tommy Boy!!

  • whats the song remind comes out to at 2:50?

  • Style elements....hmm sounds familiar. Were these guys also known as the BB Allstars here in OZ? Bill & Jamie???

  • They were the best crew in 1997 at this event.

However, the rest of the world trained hard. Suddenly, we had trickers, guys who combined airtracks into one handed airtracks, and the great guys from style elements crew got older and older while younger folks and new crews emerged.

  • @shevegen Uhhh, but Style Elements remained at the top all the way til 2003 or so. It's only around this time that countries like Korea started rising up and winning more comps.

And you're talking about airflares, not airtracks. Airtracks have been done by guys like Kujo back even in 92 bro. Airflares came later and connecting airflares was started in the U.S. by Pablo.

  • @shevegen One handed airflares was started by guys like Boy (not Moy, but his crewmate) from Havikoro.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

  • what the track at 6:17 ???

  • heck no wonder america (im an american) has barely won since these guys! its because we take things to seriously and try to look all cool when the rest of the worlds just trying to have fun. these guys look like there having so much fun, i love breaking. its the most trasume thing ever.

  • PLEASSSEEEE SONG AT 4:35 pleaseeee help

  • Nice!! where i can download the whole BOTY 1997 Video??

  • what is the name of the jam Remind gets down at 6:17... it's the shizzzznit.

  • this is one of the best shows i seen. style elements were the shi3t..

  • salah ... salah... wonder where he was back in 97'? thaz

Tommy Boy right there doing his thing... o wait.. did he just pop his stomach.... hmmm wonder why salah does that now..

Come battle here in the states salah!....

  • @steeloism

Actually, Salah was at that BOTY competing with another French crew (not the Family). And Salah has been to the U.S. to battle. He battled Mike Watson from Atlanta.

  • what's that first song

    it sounds familiar

  • One by Metallica

  • first sing is ONE by METALLICA

  • this is the reason why I dance... thanks for posting it!

  • who is the powermover from 7.50? he has the best top rocks I have seen ever !!!!!!!

  • that would be super dave at 7:50 doing the powermoves

  • yes man

  • korea wishes they had flava and style like remind and style elements in this clip.......please im tired watching them spin on there heads and do hollow backs......... get creative.......what the fuck!!!!!!!people dont know shit.

  • haha man... for being the birthplace of hip-hop we (USA) sure can't hang with the likes of Korea, France, or Germany.

  • datzz kind of tru. mostly for BOTY korean bboy crews have been champion 5 times.u.s.a. twice. Best show: japan bboy crews 6 times. runner up japan bboy crews 4 times.U.S.A. once

  • @brodyd81 This was in 97 idiot. Back in 97, this routine was considered amazing because Korea and other countries were nowhere near this level of creativity and the moves.

And over time, up til 2003 this crew and other U.S. crews, were doing moves and tricks other countries couldn't yet really pull off. That's reigning for 7 years as the world's best. In 2002 Korea started to rise up, and around 2005 they were kind of killing it all over and being one of the best.

  • @brodyd81 And in around 2009 it started to balance out, with crews like the Squadron, SKMZ, etc, of the U.S. winning international comps again.

From the 70's to late 80's America was on top. In the 90's to mid 90's Europe took it over pretty much. Then America rose up in about 96 and did it again all the way to about 03 or 04. Then came Korea and Europe again, and U.S. back again.

  • @brodyd81 So the U.S.' streak from 1973 to now, has been twice and spanned in three different decades so about 22 years altogether combined. Korea and Europe's reign throughout then to now, even combined doesn't add up to America's streak.

    Know your history idiot.

  • @Holyfiremikey Sorry man I didn't know I was in the presence of a fucking bboy historian. Good god relax. Next time I'll read the wikipedia entry on "breakdancing" so I can be as smart and educate people like you. Eat a dick...... idiot.

  • @brodyd81 So you admit you were ignorant and now you're mad about it.

  • @Holyfiremikey Yes I admit my ignorance. From now on I'll copy and paste all my comments verbatim from wikipedia and be a cock face telling everyone they're an idiot just like you. If you focused more energy on bboying instead of trying to prove yourself on the internet you might actually be descent. Great top rocks and a few moves biten from movies isn't going to get you anywhere.
