  • i just get nylon strings that have the ball at the end. that way i dont have to tie them. its way easier!

  • u hav to keep retuning for about 1week because the peg end keeps tightening.................if u want this process to fin quicker ull want to pinch the strings outwards (at the sound hole spot)

  • OUCH CLIP IT UP HERE BY THE NUT!!!sounds like theyre nuttering a dog

  • איזה זיין מוח שיא אללה תחליף ושתוק

  • easier way... buy the strings and bring the guitar for a pro to make it -___-

  • wew...quite unusual way of changing string for me since im used to the loop one..nice anyway,i got something new to learn..going to use this technique if changing the whole string set. :)

  • ah thanks for telling me it takes a while to stretch out ha that was my first time and damn i was pissed i thought my machines were messed up and couldn't figure it out.

but anyone know where i can watch someone who maybe knows what they're doing swap tuning machines??? i have a broken one i need to swap for new and i haven't done it before

  • any of you tried L'Oreals new product line? their high-quality - i constantly purchase more! you can get hold of no charge samples through "Gratis Makeup Samples". i got the samples on 03/12/2010.

  • i need help, all the first frets on my acoustic make nasty sounding vibrating noises, someone please help

  • why i have to retune m strings every 10 min?

  • ive been playing classical worldwide for 35 years, yet i think his stringing is ingenius. the thing in the beginning about the tails. wow. (not joking)

  • This is the exact guitar I have..

  • For want of a better example, look at pics of Willie Nelson, who uses a strap that clips on the High-E side of the guitar's sound hole (in his case, an ancient guitar named "Trigger") then is brought under the same side to the back of the guitar then up. MOST Classical players play seated but the strap Willie uses will protect the guitar from damage. "Folk" guitars with tie-on OR ball end strings are an inexpensive alternative, depending on the brand name, and such.

  • He should do a loop!!

  • So how exactly do I install a guitar strap onto my classical guitar?

And what kind of stool will I need so I can play efficiently? I find my bed, chair, or anywhere else sucks for playing classical cause I can't get the nut to be eye level.

Anything you'd like to recommend me to buy?

Because I have been frustrated with my classical guitar since I bought it last Christmas lol and I don't know what to do with it. Its better for my hands but such a pain in the ass without a strap...

  • You do not install a strap to a classical guitar. Leave that to a normal acoustic, or acoustic electric. NEVER put a guitar strap on your classical. There is a chance you can split the wood, and it can actually effect the tone of the guitar. This is why its a classical, and this is why people sit down and use classical.

    Lol hope it helped :D

  • Get a non-classical nylon-string guitar. My Ibanez AEG10NE (which I got on Craigslist for next to nothing) has strap buttons, an on-board tuner, an on-board pre-amp and 21 frets (14 of which are clear of the body.) I cannot abide 12 fret guitars. Not to mention ¼" and XLR outputs.

If you're not in a conservatory playing classical guitar etudes, you'd probably be better off with a non-classical nylon-string guitar.

  • @AirHendrix91 hey yes u can get a strap on eney guitar i have done it and all of my friends has u get the bolts from a guitar place and drill a hole where ever u want it to go in and put the bolts in and woop de do u have a strap on

  • I always use a capo to keep the strings stretched while I'm threading the end through the tuning pegs.

  • DUDE?!??!?!? Does the capo actually work to help it keep tuning better??

  • I don't know if it keeps it in tune better. What it does is to keep the strings tied down tight at the bridge end while you're dealing with the tuning heads. You really need three hands to string a nylon-string guitar. The capo serves as the third hand.

  • Are you seriously!? Cutting the string looks terrible!

  • nice vid .... nd thnx alot ^^

  • thanks you so very much when my pix fell in my guitar i had loseing up the last 3 string and the last 3 snap so thanks so very much

  • next time, to get your picks out, just flip your guitar and shake it until it finally comes out. that way u wont have to change your strings every time a pick falls in.

  • thats what i do it takes a while though

  • wow!!! this help.... good video, clear and smooth explanations.... now i can tie my nylon guitar with my own hand, thanks a lot!!!

  • forget it

  • Hi, I have a La Patrie Seagul Etude. I am still playing it with the strings that came with the guitar when I bought, about 6 months ago. Does anyone have any suggestions for strings for this particular guitar? What sounds best? What tension? What maker? Stuff like that. Thanks.

  • For that guitar, normal tension D'addario Pro Artes are going to be the go. Just be a little bit careful with higher tension strings. However, they should be fine.

  • Good, clear explanation.

  • Nope

  • thank you -- that was very clear & helpful :)

  • is it necessary to tie a knot? does it affect the sound of the guitar. i just bought one it is a skagg brand.someone write back please and leave a comment thank you

  • nice guitar brand, but no... it doesent effect the sound of the guitar.

  • THANKS for the info, on the guitar

  • Very good. Thanks!

  • so far the best video showing how to change classical strings, thanks!!

  • Not very good to my mind. You don't need to trap other strings under each other on the bridge, but you DO need to trap the string you are changing on the hole side of the tie block (where the string is tied round on the bridge). A nice try overall but not very well executed, perhaps because this guy knows little about classical guitars.

  • Can you recommend another how-to video that clearly demonstrates proper stringing technique for nylon strings?

  • hey nice vid very helpful, but can you do a video on "how to install a strap on your electric guitar" that would be great :)

  • cool cool. i was watching the acoustic one and then i remembered mine was classical..so i was like shooooot...then i found this video. awesome-ness. hopefully i can replace my strings soon :D

  • ohhh...finalmente so cambire la corde sulla mia chitarra elettrica.

grazie infinite...di persone come te ce ne vorrebbero a migliaia!

  • Sweet, thanks for the tips.
