Im from DC and Lenny was a basketball GOD! We hear alot about different dudes that are so-called great, but Lenny really, really couldve been the GREATEST! He had it ALL! I use to go to UMD/Lefty Driesell camps every summer as a youngsta, we sat at the bottom of Cole Field House at this night after camp, and UMD palyers would come and play pick up including Lenny....Unbelieable!!! This tragedy still brings tears to my eyes 25 or so years later. Lenny Bias, RIP!

@37stepp -- I agree. Im from DC N.E. uptown. And i was a little boy when Len passed. I remember my mother being in SHOCK at the TV sceen. I even went to northwestern H.S. for while and to this Day people still talk about him. R.I.P. Len Bias

im a lakers fan, and i hated the celtics, but i will admit that if bias lived and had the career everyone expected him to have, boston wouldve been the team of the 80s and not the lakers. to add a player like that to the 86 celtics? history may look a whole lot different. bias death may have stopped the lakers from repeating, detroit from winingthere 2, and mightve affected the bulls run as well. o what might have been. tragic story

anybody who puts forth as much effort as len bias did to get to the NBA is truly someone special. That's why it makes it sick how his life ended. I'm so sick and tired of people in college relying on drugs to have 'fun'. just a heard mentality of idiots who don't have the self confidence to develop their social skills on their own. Len bias got caught up in that crowd AND IT GOES TO SHOW YOU how bad drugs are. very sad
