- In 1999, the president of China banned Soros from doing business in his country.

- In 2002, Soros was convicted of insider trading in France and fined $2.3 million.

Soros is so powerful that he can ruin most countries financially if he decides to attack their currency by selling it short.

@vechorik yes he can, but people look at it from the wrong point of view. he is not in the game to wreck country's he is in the game for the money, and i feel that NO ONE has the right to talk negatively about him for the following reason, he was never given what he has today he has earned it and worked hard for it most people who criticize him are pieces of "white trash" if you will. who slacked during their education and made absolutely nothing of them self. end of story

I am a high school student that makes more money than you do from the websites i designed and the stock market. @vechorik Thats absolutely ridiculus. Soros didn't damage anyone by short selling the GBP. He simply borrowed some currency knowing the the UK was stupid to have pegged its currency and that eventually it would have to unpeg. IF the UK had simply kept foreign currency in its reserve it would have made a profit AS WELL . Its their own fault. China is communist and they've froze their own currency. Also that case with france still hasn't been decided 14 or so years later. Soros is a smart man.

IF you want to ignore that fact, then by all means be ignorant but he was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT in this particular video. He said george bush was a bad president and by all accounts he was right.
