@BrentwoodRedneck The point was not to just get up it, I am training my daughter, age 9, to spot and pick liines. The obstacle is relativly easy, and the best line is yes on the right, but my daughter wanted left, so it is a learning experience.

But this was her chance to pick the line. She picked the wrong line because the easy way out was to the right, but I followed her lead and she said drivers side..

@tpvalley Yeah we get that a lot. But we have made believers out of a lot of people. In one Rock competition we were against a bunch of buggies and everyone thought we did not have a chance. But since we have so much traction, and floatation we crawled through like a centipede and took first place.

@2001silverado363 Ah no,,, on that side no one with a 4x4 made it up with out assistance. Besides I was letting my daughter spot and she wanted me to do to the left where it was more difficult. The easy line was to the right. For example ther is one rock slab over 57 degrees and we walk right up it an NO 4x4 has ever made it up...

@scottsamonek Well, I am training my 9 year old daughter to be a spotter, and she hates it when I don't listen to her. So I follow her directions even though they are not the best way to approach things. A few 4x4 buggies did make it on the far right side, but they did not make it on the left. It doesn't look that bad on video but in person it is alot steeper.

It is heavy, 9480 lbs, but then again a stock dually crew cab is at 8500, and so is an H1 Hummer. But for a street legal family trail rig, it does very well.

@churd243 THere is a single driveshaft that goes from the Transfer case to the toploader of the middle axles and then out the back of that axle to the rear axle.

It is all stock Dodge except for the Axles (rockwell 2.5 tons), 4 link, bumper, and exocage. Stock frame, engine, tranny, transfercase, etc....

As cool as this truck is I just cant imagine why dodge even thought about making it a production truck. You displayed here that it is a more than capable off road machine but even then the market would be extremely limited. a normal dually provides more than enough rubber on the rear end for towing so I cant see that being a good reason. Cool none the less, I would love to have one parked in the garage with a cummins under the hood for shits and giggles but thats about it.

They toyed with the idea because of the payload capacity a second axle offers. But there just isn't much of a market for for it. What most people need, a regular dually can handle.

And production would have been expensive. And I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap to maintain either.

We wanted to buy one of the prototype T-Rex's from Dodge after they Cancelled the project to go into production. So we begun building our own with sponsorship for Dodge, Interco, Lynex, KC, Detroit Lockers, etc..This is all Stock Dodge except for the bumpers, exocage, 4 link and axles.

Actually it does very good in the Rocks. We have taken several first place wins in the rocks against rock buggies several years ago. We were in a rock comp several months ago and we did OK half way through and then high centered...there is a first for everything.

Gas....V10. About the same power as the diesel, yet the V10 is alot lighter. Gas mileage is not nearly as good as a Cummins, but this V10 is awsome. 140K miles, its been underwater 7 times, going strong, no problems!!

cool i drive a lifted 1996 dodge ram 2500 cummins and i love it. it has mud lights mudding tires and rims and a custom bumper/grill guard and the 4 wheel drive is great for colorado mud
