  • Where did you find a o/r xpipe for a 05 v6? I have been looking everywhere for it!

  • @BAWLS2894 Custom-made from MAC pro-chamber pipes and a Pypes x-pipe.

  • Sounds like a rally car haha just put a bunch of lights on the front!!

  • nice broken chainsaw

  • sounded great at idle, but once you accelerated, it sounded like a ricer... :/

  • Can anyone say rice?? Startup sounded great, but when you took off.. 0.0

  • where did you get the off road x pipe?

  • Whats it sound like today?

  • oh my god.......

  • kinda sounds like shit, it needs a rumble to it thats like a chainsaw on steroids

  • Lol this is how my car sounds now i hate it!!!!! all i did was remove the cat.

  • Sounds like an old skool mustang

  • that sounds as bad as that asian from american idol

  • this is just straight pipes but they arent straight.........

  • dont listen to those haters...you do what u want to do its your car...i got a 05 v6...who wants to rag on me

  • ahhh that sounds horrible get a full bassani or something

  • gts aint shit i have a v6 and ive rode by billions of em they dnt sound like anything unless you get something done 2 em like any car would so stfu all u gt dikk sukers

  • cause its a nice car, and alot cheaper, why dont you buy a GT or a 370Z or a Genesis coupe for this guy and then pay for his insurance as well. i hate when people ask that question

  • im sorry, cuz when ur military you get laughed at for driving v6 stangs, i got an 06 gt and my dad has a c5 zo6, its kinda a military respect thing, u wouldn't understand. i mean i can understand why people buy these. they cost less, better mpg. but in my opinion its not a true mustang.

  • im respect you alot for your time and courage for being in the milary i really do, and a GT maybe me a true mustang, i was just trying to make a point.

  • my dad is in the military, hes at the Sargent majors academy, but im only a junior(11th) in high school, but im joining as soon as im outta high school.

  • yea, u neglect to mention that in the military, they determine who's is going to be the better bitch in the relationship by wat they drive. they drive a Mustang GT, which means they are goin to be the better bitch cuz they still got their ride to make them still look good after that ass pounding they are bout to recieve.

fuck that bullshit. i'll tell u first hand, the V6 is the better engine. i had a 05 Slightly modded GT, and now a 09 S/C V6. V6 puts out more than the GT and feels smoother.

  • I CANT WAIT TO GET MY BLOWER

  • yea, but u'll neva have that X-C presence

    LOL.

i'm sure u'll obviously disagree with me, but honestly speaking the 4.0L is a way smoother engine in terms of constant performance and reliability over the 4.6L. i noticed that with my 05 GT, the 4.6L usually needs to be over 3K RPM for it to even be impressive. with the X-C, the power is like. . . well there at any RPM level, which is really nice.

    i'd say my V6 kills my old 05 GT in every way. . . . .

Only thing i miss is that damn V8 sound

    Ha

  • i feel ya, the only way i would buy a v6 if is i had plans for a 5.4 liter swap. u know how cool that would be. the 3:55 in mine work pretty well. off the start with out revving the torque will spin the tires a bit of the start. a v6 is smoother, but like u said v8 sound. i love it. i just dont like the high pitch sound of a 4 banger and v6. this dude had straight pipes on a v6, the dude was killing me,

  • well, he is working on his exhaust. its not even done yet.

it wont sound like that when his exhaust system is finished. . . . . . .

and come on now, don't diss the 6's. . . . 4's are one thing. . . . they are for good gas mileage, but the 6. . . . come on, nowadays, that has proven to be wat owns the road. . .

look up vidz of the Supra MKIV, thats a 6 right there, and it can easliy sound better than any V8. . . .

    Gotta love the 2JZ-GTE!

point is, u gotta have mad respect for the 6. . .

  • im not dissin, the k20 civic faster than a 400hp supra, and just about any stock car, the new lincoln mks and ford tourus sho, 355hp from a 3.7v6. twin turbo.old supra handles like 850hp stock(safely) the supra is the like the best sounding straight 6. look up my favs and u will some of my fav cars. zr1, gtr(v6 twin 480hp, 0-60 3.6sec,) impressive, i could talk car all day

  • i kno a dude who lives right down the street from me who has a silver 96 Supra and its putting out slightly over 1,000hp at the crank. i believe it was about 1,078hp.

if i'm not mistakened i believe the 2JZ-GTE engine is one of, if not the only production engine capable on being modded and withstanding over 1,000hp on the stock block. w/out the need to be rebuilt/etc.

and a stock K20 faster than a 400hp Supra????? i hope that was just a joke lol.

isnt that in the newer civic SI's & the RSX's?

  • i got a vid of an allmotor k20 killing a supra and a ws6 trans am

  • not stock of course, even so, still cant compete with the performance of the Supra when modded.

a 400HP Supra aint really shit compared to wat its capable of. that's like a slight turbocharger upgrade, hell even a increase in boost of the stock TT/C and u might be able to net that kind of power.

so in my eyes, an "all Motor" K20 killing a 400hp Supra is NOT impressive at all. i could do that in my Stang right now. and i only have like 6k invested in it right now.

  • the smoother part I disagree...my V6 07...being a 4.0 get it past 4K rpm and the engine starts to really racket. it will get to 6K but...It doesn't like it no where near as much as my E30 325IS...granted that the V6 is a great torque monster at Low RPM...I just don't think it worth moding...for money spent and power gained...Id rather go buy a V8 and mod the absolute Piss clean out if it.

  • @Tigeron1a

i was referring to the power from the mods, its smooth not lagging any power.

the 4.6L is not impressive at all really. it's only bout 600cc more than the 4.0L and only has a slightly performance advantage stock. it just coulda had a lot more put into it.

the 4.0L has A LOT of potential and its just as easy to get hella power outta it. u jus gotta kno how to tweak it tha right way.

and umm, why would u bring up a BMW when we are talkin about Mustangs?

    made no sense. . .

  • because the I6 in the BMW is free revving at any speed...and has a flat torque curve all the way to 6K on up...the V6 in the mustang is not as smooth...sorry...

and In not discounting the V6 in the mustang in any way I know it can be done...but the fact is if you want 600 HP reliably out of that motor...your going to spend money...and I'm sorry but the 4.6 3v just has more R&D around it (Yes yes Ok Supersix motors) yay...compared to the countless tuner shops for the 4.6?

  • @Tigeron1a

i guess my point was, u were comparing oranges to apples.

like a muscle car to a more luxury car. in other words, 2 cars in different classes.

they are just too different of a platform to accurately compare them. but still comparable i guess.

kinda strange my 6 will get to 6k and stay there fine. not sure wats wrong with urs. seems a little strange. maybe the tune isn't good idk.

  • well its factory spec atm...

  • its prolly cuz its restricted. open it up a bit and it makes a whole new engine come to life.

  • hmm...Ok I'll give a tuner a shot.

  • yeah kinda sounds kinda like a ricer/tin can but is ridiculously loud!!!! lol, I realize that you're actually getting an exhaust setup though lol

  • kind of like mine, no mufflers. mine is really loud too haha i like it though

  • lol thats ridiculously loud

  • No offense but now it sounds like a ricer :( why not just get a takeoff muffler??? nice car though mines the same just white with blue stripes.

  • Haha, I'm not DRIVING like this XD It was just a clip to show what it sounds like. I switched to takeoff mufflers and it was still too loud without cats, so now I've caved in and put high flows on.

  • @qbmitch I respectfully disagree, it does not sound like a ricer =}

  • sounds great at idle and then a 4 banger when you hop on it. Get some MACs and it will sound better.

  • wher did u get the offroad x pipe

  • ur never going to get the sound of a v8 no matter what u do to ur v6

  • exactly, people who think they are going to get there v6 to sound like a gt are shit heads, don't get me wrong, i love v6 mustangs almost as much as the gt and cobra

  • Maybe he's not trying to get the sound of a V8? Nothing special about them anyway, the 3.8's and 4.0's are way better engines than a 4.6.

  • yes ur right, i am gonna post a video of mine, mine i find is the best for a v6, all stock except no mufflers, at idle and start, peopl ealways say its a v8( to bad i cant idle everywhere)lol . but once past 2k, people think its a 350z w/ pipes... its real bassy, but still wish i had the gt

  • Personally, I think we all should keep are v6's, modify them up, beat GT's and watch GM and Chrysler come to an end.

  • fuck yea... and when our little 6's are riding on the freeway and gt's and comaros think oh looka this v6 lemme beat em... we will all smile as we pull away from them

  • WHAT jeffdaniels40oz SAID IS 100% TRUE!

  • definetly, but it will sound close to a v8 at idle speed's, but when you give it a rev it wilil always sound like a six shooter

  • Comment removed

  • lol loud XD

  • nice, sounds very good,i like it

  • Props on a different sound check mine out with Cats still but xpipe no mufflers

  • not bad at all

  • dude that sounds like fucking shit aka god damn go cart

  • Sounds nice...what did you do with the other O2 sensor in the driver side???

  • The front 02 sensors are stock. Both of the rear 02 sensors (for catalytic converters) are disabled in my tune so I replaced one of them (driver's side) with a wideband sensor. The other rear 02 on the passenger side is doing nothing but sealing the exhaust gases inside the pipes.

The 02 sensor I took out is just sitting in my closet.

  • @temugen i want to get a 2011 mustang v6 but it sounds like a 350z. what wud u recommend i do if i got the car (to make iit sound like a v8)

  • @rcdude747 unfortunately you won't be able to get a V8 sound out of it.

The 350/370z sound is not surprising. The best you can do is learn to be happy with a toned V6 - for this you'd probably want to keep the stock cats and at the most, change the mufflers to something like corsa.

The 2011 V6 is a great car regardless (I would even think about keeping the stock exhaust!), but... if you want a V8, save up for the 5.0 :-/

  • @rcdude747 i guess ill go with the v6, thanks for the reply

  • @rcdude747 the is an exhaust that ford racing performance parts makes for the new 2010 and 2011 mustangs that just have the most beautiful sound for the v6's...unfortunately it wont sound like a v8 but it will have nice deep sound

  • Yes, but I don't have a camera to get any clips.

  • today ill post stock cats 3" Xpipe and Straight pipes check in plz Oxcide I have many differ set ups just read discriptioons.

  • SEXY, too bad in cali you have to have cats. FUCK THIS SHIT, IM MOVING TO FLORIDA

  • It sounds sexier with some resonators or mufflers, but still without cats :) And the smell is unbelievably appealing.

Oh and, nice video by the way, ripping it up... sweet :)

  • thats really loud. lol. i'm sure it turns a little bit more power though, but i see why the mufflers should really be there if your running it on the street.

good video anyways. always curious to know how it would sound with just straight piping.

  • I was too. In fact, I was so curious that I spent all of this money just to find out :D

  • i didn't have the opportunity to mess around with my exhaust when it was getting put on, because my dad installed it at the dealership for me.

did you program the ecu for the non catted exhaust when you drove it in the video?

  • No, there was no need. If you're talking about for the DTC that says you have no cats (which will get you in trouble with emissions), then I already had that turned off in my tune for my intake. I have a wideband sensor inside (not connected yet in this video), and my A/F is perfect.

  • When I ran open headers, I got a code that said bank 1 was too lean. When I put on the rest of the exhaust and cleared the code, it said bank 1 was too rich, lmao. These were of course just linked anomalies due to the front 02 sensor being so close to fresh air, and the negative pressure that occurs at low RPMs.

No other tuning is required with LTs and no cats. I'm sure I could get a little more power by tuning it with this setup but it's not necessary.

  • oh okay. well, i live in florida, so i don't really worry much about emissions. lol

what kind of tuner are you using? sct?

  • SCT XCal 2 with the Demolet (A.K.A. Tunable Inductions) 93 octane tune.
