  • Thanks for not just telling me a bunch of words. This made me feel much better. And I honestly don't hate reading.

  • do u do online tutoring?

  • I have the worst memory in history. I abuse the heck out of my outlook calendar at work. Seriously, why do you think those 3M post-it notes were invented?

It's interesting how in school you use notebook paper constantly and never post-it notes, and in the office you use post-it notes constantly and never notebook paper. And now I always use a pen and hardly ever use a pencil, even when doing math.

  • haha, this guy seems so intense, like he just had a mug of coffee.

thanks for putting your time into this though, great help.

  • GOD i hate learning words by heart! :|

  • i agree with every single good comments here.

  • your so inspirational. if i do well on my SATs, your the man!

  • do you have any suggestions for sat prep books that offer a list of good vocab? thank you

  • i was told that if you read alot of books then you will have a stronger Vocabulary and you will start to read faster. is that true?

  • So someone had to tell you that if u read a lot it makes you a stronger reader? Maybe if i run a lot it'll make me a better runner. If you can't make that connection on your own forget about taking the SAT's your too stupid.

  • I did not mean to piss you off neard man, I am so sorry for that.

  • No problem, i didn't mean to insult you but that you have to admit that was an idiotic comment.

  • Yes, it's very true. You should try it yourself. Read a book, any book and I guarantee by the time you hit page 100 or so, you'll be reading/flying through pages faster than you did on the very first page. Also, realize when you hit a climax in a book, your eyes crave for more of what is happening which causes you to read extremely fast. Practice!!!

  • Yes. You'll also realise there is no such word as "alot" You must allot an amount of time to remember there is "a lot" but never "alot".

  • thanks for telling me that, at least you was not rude about it, Hey is this T Vondo from Cali ???

  • Haha, well you were lucky. This name is a 'character' so to speak, and is by nature supposed to be well.. hmm, well bombastic!

In all seriousness, you seem like a person who wants to improve yourself. Just ignore all the 'clever' remarks from others trying to put you down. If you truly want to succeed at anything you will - it just takes time and focus. Not sure what a "T Vondo" is, sorry.

  • Oh, and speaking of 'clever' remarks, look at ant4209's statement. To quote:

"If you can't make that connection on your own forget about taking the SAT's your too stupid"

He meant, "you're too stupid". How ironical that he mentions the word "stupid" but doesn't comprehend the difference between "your" and "you're". This always happens when people desperate try so hard to feel superior to others: they expose themselves eventually, and then just claim it was a typo!

  • Well, within your rant on others making mistakes while trying to feel superior, you said "ironical".... you meant "ironic"...

    [How ironic... haha] XD

  • ahhh i really hope this works because im going to be spending soooo much time studying now!!

  • i had thought you will show you what kind of vocabulary we should memerize instead of ecourage us to do so

  • Man this is brilliant but I Have a Questions...Will iy help me to open a dictionary and just Find words I Like and study them or Will it just stress me out?

  • I'm trying to link this tactic towards literature which is hard.. but even the best was once a rookie.. thanks for your tips i really appreciate it.. keep it up, i havent searched yet, so i dont know if u have it, but i was hoping if u had some tips on big vocabulary words, how to break them down? how to relate them to others? geeze when im hit with a huge word, which this weekend the sat will be more than happy to do so,

  • as my junior year goes by in anatomy, i was hit with so much bones and so much muscles and so much physiology n stuff, it gets easier, I'm having less trouble memorize lots of words. for this class u cant memorize and forget.. so its a memorization study to remember. the fact that i want to become a physician motivates me to keep going...

  • yes.. its really worth it.. when i first got into anatomy, i was hit with what i thought was a lot of prefixes and suffix words, about 60 of them to remember.. these was so hard for it being the times of the few i had to actually sit down for hours and memories them..

  • I AGREE!!!!

  • thx a bunch

  • thanks.
