  • I dedicate this song to that dude I spent 7 years of my life with who just gave up and walked away.

    Thanks.

  • You, Blow out, How do you, Prove Yourself. Thinking about you, Lurgee, Creep, Anyone can play guitar... I can't.. Ripcord. Great album, understated.

  • Lurgee makes me feel so nostalgic.

  • Let Down part 1.

  • I didn't buy Pablo Honey until after OK Computer, and while I never got into it as much as OKC or Bends, it had some stand-out moments. This song was always especially sad to me. I was in a failing relationship at the time, and this song seems to speak to that denial you're in when you know it's ending but don't want to believe it.

  • no matter which song of them i listen to it always reminds me of how good they are...they're different

  • pablo honey always reminded me of U2.

  • Lurgee and I can't... two songs that changed my life

  • Probably still my favorite Radiohead song...saved my life once.

  • @Radioheader how did this song save your life bro?

this is for probably the 3rd best song of radiohead,

  • This song helped me seduce a German girl called Anya. Thanks Radiohead.

  • @Monumentum616 what ? : 0

  • I may see this wrong, but I get a sense that this song was written from someone who isn't really strong. It sounds like they're trying to convince the one that left (and/or themselves) that it's better now, but really they are missing a part of themselves without that other person. It's like if you hear someone saying "I'm really okay" over and over again, chances are they aren't.

  • @bottomlesschad exactly,

  • @bottomlesschad

yep, and that was most likely radiohead's intention. they've never really been into blind optimism.

  • pablo honey's the best there is

  • Pablo Honey was, and always will be their best album.

  • One of my favourite (if not my favourite) Radiohead track

  • hear the formation of greatness

  • This song makes me feel better, thanks Radiohead

  • I reckon Phil Selway will appreciate the fact I had the gumption to call him a cunt instead of killing myse...

  • @Monumentum616 I'm not sure where your comment is coming from, but I like it. Just thought I'd let you know. Cheers big ears

  • @willzer808 I don't remember writing that. Apologies for the bad language. It must be related to the fact that he used to work for the Samaritans...or something! I'm not sure where I was coming from either - marvellous song though. I still really enjoy Pablo Honey

  • @Monumentum616 No worries at all! I liked the comment for what it is in itself. Just seemed a bit off the wall, which is good sometimes. I used to have pablo honey and the bends on a cassette. One on side A, the other on B. And I used to listen to them all the time. I got the CDs after that, but I miss those days. I guess when you are younger it is always that bit more exciting and fresh. Their newer stuff is still good, but it no longer gets me as it used to..

  • I got Strong! I got better! yeah!

  • sounds great...

  • I've been a Radiohead fan for years and I own all their Albums, I love this albuum it truly shows just how their music has progressed over the years and how talented this band is. Currently this a favorite of mine, just a great pick me up kind of song.

  • my mind-picture of thom yorke`s ideas. strong and clever.

  • ''I feel better''

    Thanks cocaine.

  • I'm a bigger Bends fan on the whole but the atonal guitars at the end of Lurgee that come out of nowhere had me at hello when I was 20 and listening to this for the first time long, long ago. My favorite Radiohead song by a mile. This might be a stretch but if you like the end of this song (and I'm not talking about dopey lyrics here- the music) try Accident Prone by Jawbreaker from the same time period. Or the end of So. Central Rain by R.E.M. like someone previously alluded to, from Rec

  • Very R.E.M.

    Reminds me of Reckoning.

  • omg, can everybody just stop sayin Kid a and Amnesiac are emo albums. And that thom yorke had an depression in that time. Kid a and Amnesiac are amazin and beautifull albums. Just hard to understand even for radiohead fans. But it is far from anythin like depressive or emo. Its just sometimes sad but its really really beautifull

  • Happy on the surface but sad when it comes to the real meaning..

Anyway I love it, this song makes me happy in an odd way..

  • 2:40 forwards sounds very very sad...

  • this is a shitload better than all that kid a and amnesiac bollocks

  • @choclatesaltyballz ouch man, kid a and amnesiac are great, so is this, you just gotta get it man.

  • @musterdsandwich ive got them all and hail to the thief is a load of shit

  • @choclatesaltyballz

Just because you don't understand it, doesn't make it shit. Many consider Kid A to be Radiohead's best album. No, it's not for everyone (what is?), but it's still fucking great.

  • @redkopite4life go on then, whats the best song off kid a

  • @choclatesaltyballz

My favourite is Idioteque, followed closely by Everything In Its Right Place. Having said that, I do think OK Computer is a better album.

  • @redkopite4life i used to think idioteque was good til i sorted me head out, losing bunker, women and children foster children and all that shit, id rather go to town and watch sum tramp sing plinky plink on his cardboard guitar, and as 4 everything in its right place, even when i was a massive fan that song was shit. yesterday i woke up suckin a lemon. wtf is that all about? radiohead used to be special and now theyve just sunk into mediocrity. in other words theyre shit

  • @choclatesaltyballz

Fair enough, Radiohead have something for everyone, as long as you like some of their music I can't criticise you. Everything In Its Right Place is about Thom Yorke's depression between OK Computer and Kid A in which he had a writing block. "Yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon" - I believe this refers to the taste in his mouth when he thinks of what will happen in the day ahead of him (nothing). I'd say Radiohead have matured since the 90s, In Rainbows is beautiful. We're

  • @redkopite4life

Not likely to get another The Bends or OK Computer but thats not to say In Rainbows isn't great (It's probably my second favourite album of theirs). All I Need, Weird Fishes, Reckoner. Bodysnatchers, Jigsaw Falling Into Place and Videotape are all awesome. Don't get me wrong, OK Computer is untouchable and I still like Pablo Honey (especially Lurgee) but I still try their newer stuff, and it is good, it just takes longer to get into, especially Kid A.

  • hi everyone,

I made a song the other day, and then I sketched it, so I came up with a "music video" LOL I'd like you all to check it out and tell me what you think. it's a cartoon with some harsh lyrics. I'd like to get some feedback on that.

    watch?v=ATc734eVaIs

    Thanks everyone!

  • Great song for when you're sick. It almost makes the temple-throbbing go away.

  • te ich wczesne kawałki mają w sobie coś

  • hey tubers,

Do me a favor and check this video ( watch?v=d9ktDReRwko )

Does the piano at the end fit the rest of the song?

    That's all.

    Thanks!

  • Awesome song.. hahaha the day my girlfrnd and i broke up... i should have sing this for her...

  • This song is what you want it to be...

  • People can say this song is "ironic" or whatever, but it makes me feel better. :) Reminds you that when you leave messed up people things can change for the better.

  • Gaby this is your mantra I know you love me despite we both know this is impossible.

    I'll love you forever :'-(

  • @ThomRadioheadYorke omg same reminds me of my boyfriend and i. im sorry :(

  • One sublime melody

  • They're awesome--not too many "real" musicians left on this planet

  • Comment removed

  • I'm not a huge Radiohead fan but this is my favorite song by them. Its strange that I'm not crazy about them since I'm obsessed with Oasis and The Verve. oh well, as long as I hate Ke$ha that makes everything ok

  • I want this song in mp3!! Been looking for years!

  • this is smartest irony .. Have to be stupid to think this is the song for ''world peace''' half full glass sht .. ''oh yeah i got strong ..'' >>>wtf..

    Radiohead rules...

  • God dang this song brings back memories. Awesome song

  • U2 mode :)

  • *______________*

  • REM influenced

  • You do realize that Radiohead started in the 80s too, right.

  • LOL. Your point? R.E.M was 1980. And Radiohead?

  • These melodies...these lyrics...they truly touch my heart...so simple....yet so powerful...fantastic...yes...i will be better...

  • radiohead powiem tylko tyle- dziekuje za tą piosenkę ;)

  • This tune is bloody awesome - pure radiohead....

  • This song is my idea of heaven

  • God I love the sound of the guitars on Pablo Honey (coming from a guitarist).

  • the best song of radiohead, maybe compared with fog......... it makes me cry

  • for tear jerking, try true love waits. how i made my millions. videotape (scotch mist version)

  • the perfect equilibrium, what a song !

  • Despite the positive lyrics, i think the song is pessimistic. Nothing gets really better at all.

  • @bleedingstrings777 hes talking about his ex who he writ creep about

  • half the songs on pablo honey are these really nice mellow day dreamy songs like (nice dream)

  • nice dream is on the bends =/

  • yeah i know this song and others on pablo honey remind me of it.

  • thats so true,it makes me feel that way too!

  • I can easily cry when I listen this song. And I'm a manly man.....

  • Music is a great power fella.....

  • I once heard a review, "this song is like a soul lozenge for the soul." I couldn't agree more.

  • For sure!

  • I'm such a sucker for this tune...

  • I love the 'Demo Version' of the "Motion Picture Soundtrack" song from "Kid A". "Pablo Honey" is the only Radiohead album I don't own, nor really have an interest in getting.

  • TANTRA!!!!

  • it reminds me of something..i can't remember!it's like it talks to the soul

  • No, mate, its the bloody awful truth.

  • HAHA yeah right

  • che personaggi straordinari

  • I prefer not to think of this song as depressing, but more as uplifting. Everyone goes through breakups, but you've got to pick up the pieces. It gives a sense of optimism, like now things will be okay.

  • This sounds primitive compared to their later works...but it still sounds good

  • This song is my personal favorite Radiohead.

This song is supposed to try to empower the listener. I like the fact this song looks on the upside, the glass was half full. A rare moment in Radiohead history.

Anyone can call a song primitive. But, it does what they were trying to do.

No extra notes, no extra nonsense, it did the job. It is what is it is. A song that says "I got strong." A powerful message. Primitive yeah, power oh yeah.

  • @GoBigRedTony yeah i think radiohead was like "yeah! the glass is half full....no wait...wait a minute....no its not"

  • @GoBigRedTony The song is supposed to convey the "denial" stage of the post break-up. Not a happy song. To me this song feels so empty and sad.

  • @GoBigRedTony

The song Optimistic off Kid A is the same concept.

  • @GoBigRedTony

Pretty much the opposite of No Surprises or even Exit Music. Hell, there are a lot of examples (Let Down....etc).

  • @GoBigRedTony this is the kind of things real radiohead fans say. I love it when I read things like this.

  • and then i melt. i feel better

  • efefew

  • Mendienta eres un bombon

  • it's obvious that this is a denial song. he says that he "feels better, got strong", but in reality, he still loves her so much, and that he can't live without her. a simple song with very powerful meaning.

i love radiohead, and this is probably one of my personal favorite tracks off of Pablo Honey, and one of their most emotional songs.

  • TRADUCCION:

Me siento mejor, me siento mejor ahora que te has ido.

Estoy mejor, estoy mejor, me hice fuerte.

Me siento mejor, me siento mejor ahora que nada anda mal.

    Mejoré, mejoré, me hice fuerte.

Dime algo, dime algo que yo no sepa.

Dime una cosa, dime una cosa, y déjalo ir.

Tengo algo, tengo algo y el cielo lo sabe.

Tengo algo, tengo algo, no sé qué.

  • The most depressive song on Pablo Honey. Sure, songs like How to Disappear Completely and Motion Picture Soundtrack are way more depressive, but this is depressive in it's own way.

  • i dont think How to disappear is depressive, its about escaping that? :P

  • i think it's about those times where you just can't take it anymore, and you wish you would simply disappear... you feel disconnected ("i'm not here" "walk through walls") and you try to avoid what surrounds you...

the "i'm not here" theme was used by thom in the 98 tours where he just couldn't take it anymore...

that's what i think, anyway... you can interpret it any way you like

  • Yes the line "im not here, this isnt happening" is from a phone call from Michael stipe, he told Thom to tell those words to himself, because thom was very depressed, thats why its a song about escaping that, you understand? :P

  • huh? I wouldn't say either of those are depressing, Try Exit Music or Street Spirit

  • How to Disappear Completely and Motion Picture Soundtrack are more depressive than Exit Music and Street Spirit

  • no way, listen to the lyrics not just the music, they may sound bleak but nothing is as depressing as Street Spirit, its the ultimate downer- the futility of life and inevitable death

  • How to disappear completely and Motion Picture Soundtrack are depressing, as Exit Music and Street Spirit, but the more sad song I ever hear- not only from Radiohead, but in the hole world- in no surprises.

    Sorry for my english!

  • What about "We Suck Young Blood"? lol, I would describe it as a mental breakdown, Radiohead style.

  • it's actually really optimistic... "i feel better now you're gone". exit music and motion picture are way more depressing

  • Well, what I meant to say is that it's the most depressive song on the album, which isn't saying much, as the songs are uplifting, for the most part.

  • best song on Pablo

  • gotta love the Thom Yorke voice... just chilling.

  • re linda!-.

  • SliCknickNirvana is right lol,.

    Love this album too

  • this song is alive guys

  • beautiful song, best one on Pablo, but still primitive compared to what was coming

  • i agree the bends was really the start of what was to be come the greatest band on earth

  • Pablo Honey was awesome!

  • greatest song ever written in the history of mankind.

  • One of the best songs from Pablo Honey. And yes, a fitting song at the end of a relationship.

  • this is great to listen about a month after youve been dumped.

  • When down in the dumps this song would kind of lift me! Beautiful track, and i salute all who also like it! For we share a similar aspect my friend!

  • Who the fuck cares you cayote eating shit wind?

  • to hell with you as well gaggolf, i doubt anyone cares for you, fascist jerk.

  • What have i said? :(

  • 17 hours from this point, a message from you to me:

'Who the fuck cares you cayote eating shit wind? '

Now if this is some kind of mistake fair enough, and i'd take back my comment. But otherwise any person who goes around youtube throwing insults like that at people, i pity them for the low level they have fallen to.

  • Aha, okey, thx, forgot what i wrote. My comment was a twisting look on reality. You didn't say you saluted those who are different. In what way can the time i took from you be repaid, if any was taken in the sense that the experience you had wasn't worth anything? It was a great comment, it was just late when i wrote it.

  • Theres just no need for spreading grief, if thats what you like to do i have no more time for this conversation. And thats the end of that.

  • I wasn't completely serious when i wrote it, my intention wasn't to spread grief. Just thought you had a sense of humour :D

"Cayote eating shit wind" isn't exactly the most serious of the insults.

  • 2:30-3:08

    :O.

  • i got better i got better i got something heaven know i got something i do not know

  • My favorite song from Pablo Honey. So dreamy. Should've been a single.

  • i feel better now your gone

  • favorite!!!!

  • beautiful lyrics, i love this song!

    thanks bobbyroana!

  • Great song! lets give this album the place it deserves!!!

  • La mejor cancion de ese disco!

  • Haunting theme brilliant!!! Makes a person think!!!!! I always put track12 on repeat!!!

  • Hahahaha! Si, yo lo hice y he hecho muchas veces :)

  • This track is the best in Pablo Honey besides 'Creep'

  • i'm think the same, this song is so beatiful

  • I was going to make exactly the same comment! Its unaminous then!!

  • I'm gonna have to dissent and cast my vote for let down:)_

  • Let Down is one of the worst songs on the Radiohead catalogue

  • Actually that would be "Creep."

Huge Radiohead fan. Been since Pablo Honey. They got me all through high school and adulthood.

Can't wait to see what the future holds.

  • They're getting me through highschool right now :)

  • Same here! When I started listening to Radiohead, I just changed. I listen to them almost every day :)

  • yessss me too

  • HUmm I'm sorry? Let Down is one hell of a song, it has that melancolic but confortable feeling to it by the fresh guitars and the honesty in Thoms voice

  • How dare you! Let Down is my favorite Radiohead song.

  • I completely agree with you. That song is amazing. I keep coming back to it.

  • simple and straight forward. genius.

  • Calm, beautiful, genius, meaningful.

  • One of the best songs ever written, composed and interpreted.

    Absolutely superb.

  • Bobyronoa, you are most adored for putting radiohead's greatest songs for me to listen too on youtube!

    Thank you!!!!!!!

  • I think the reason this album is underated is that its a lot different to the other albums especially from Ok computer onwards. These songs are more catchy and normal. Where in later albums they branch off into their own style

  • Thank you bobby...

  • Pablo Honey is uderated. Lurgee is my favourite track from it.

  • Love this song. Pablo Honey is a great album imo.

  • This is personally, the greatest anthem ever written, dedicated to making someone feel better when they are sad or angry.

  • Why can't people give this album the respect that it deserves?! I love this song

  • LOve this song very unknown and underrated!

  • i like their later cds better. the songs from honey are good but not as unique as say the songs from ok computer or in rainbows. they did what a lot of bands dont, moved forward for the best
