it's played in D Standard, tuning it to drop D will make it sound off. At most you can play the intro but the part at 0:50 is too low to play in drop d. Plus the pattern for the solo and certain phrases is so off, u can't do it in drop d.

@a10isballer I think a lot of the clean tone is coming from his single coil neck PUP. You can hear him switch to the humbucker at the end up of the clean bridge, which sounds a lot "thicker". I like singles for clean guitar playing, I think they sound more delicate and articulate.

A lot of guys (including myself) just play double doubles, neck and bridge, or maybe a double single double. I may switch to single double.
