The Chinese players knew it was in, they should have said so. An honest player wants to earn their win. If I were on the Chinese side I would have approached the up referee and explained that it was in.
this is probably the worst call i have ever seen, you expect bad calls during games... but for something to be so completely obvious and at a time that was critical, it makes you wonder Chinese Refs, Chinese Linesman, China playing against Australia. At an International Level this should never happen and the Ref should have over ruled the linesman. There is nothing that can change the score now but it does make FIVB look like a complete joke.
Cheating? Is anyone insinuating that the referee was Chinese or that he's in on some type of conspiracy?
I too believe that the call was ridiculous and should be revoked one (or if) video reply is installed in FIVB volleyball, however, bad calls like this happen all the time in matches. E.g. fourth set of Olympic Finals, Brazil got shafted several times. On one of the final points, David Lee clearly touched the ball, keeping it in play. The linesman called four, and Brazil eventually lost.
Bad calls yes. Like this?? Hell no! This is the single worst call i've ever seen. I don't know about conspiracy, but that ball was in by 2 feet(or more) The FIVB is responsible for reacting to this. Things like this make them look bad.
Nah no "conspiracy", just blatant cheating. The referee was from Chinese Taipei. All four linesmen were local Chinese. I don't think the referee was necessarily a cheat, he may not have seen it and had to rely on the linesman which is fair enough. But I have no doubt the linesman knew exactly what he was doing when calling that ball out...
Unfortunately this is something the Australian men's team has had to put up with every time they go to play in China. It's just the way it is there.

Erro absurdo da arbitragem, mas os bandeiras do final da quadra são do próprio país sede.

1) That was clearly in
2) The ball wasnt even travelling that fast
3) Even if the ball was travelling fast it was still clearly in

Absolutely no surprise here.
No surprise in: China, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, Iran or many other countries (but not all).
Of course it's the Top refs call in the end and, unless he's blind, the ball was in.
Therefore both he and the linesman are cheats. Can't seperate sport from the rest of your life either.
Wouldn't buy a car from them....

Laughable. I've seen JV high school players make bad calls, but never in the realm of this.
This should be investigated by FIVB

Disgraceful. If you watch the scorebox, even the scorers knew it was in
