  • to the kid talking shit about alpines, alpine is a great brand. Fi is indeed better but when i had my type rs in my ported box it was insane. Now i have a btl and its just a tad better. oh and to the person who said they ran 2000 watts on there subs daily, no you didnt. my shit blew at about 750 rms with the alpine 2000. anyways good video, sundown audio amps are beastt.

  • i dont know why yall have to fight about the type r, its a solid sub, especially for what the average consumer wants! no one can ever agree on subs either (go look at forums) get what you like and let it rip. i have an alpine type r in 3.5ft at 32hz and it freakin slams! but now im selling it for a hdc315 and a 2000wrms amp... good shit tho man

  • god damn that's a bix box haha. you build it yourself? looks good bet it sounds great without the camera haha. nice job dude. alpine type r's own. best for the money in my opinion.

  • Alpine can take an ass kickin!! nice set up man... keep bangin

  • type r sucks. go fi much better and wiht one of them they own 2 of yours

  • @jimmybal10 please explain how they suck?? the only thing here that sucks is you, on your dads dick.

fi has enough little fan boys like you, fuck off

  • @blazinloud lol and you think that a best buy subwoofer can beat a fi? lol in your dreams i found one of you comments on one of the fi videos that you said alpine will pown your fi lol alpine are just good for underpowering cause they blow easily my friend had one lol.

  • @jimmybal10 your an idiot, plain and simple. define "beat" and if hes blowing subs, dont blame it on alpine, blame it on your friend that has no idea what hes doing. If you blow a sub, its the users fault, typical teenage punk that dosent know shit.

  • @blazinloud LOL alpine still sucks :) for the price you paid you can get MUCH better i bet that when your showing to somebody your system they say ahh.. ok a alpine. already saw one. tired of those overpowered sub.

  • @blazinloud agreed pff FI is a dam comp sub not sq sub u shud first know what he wants and i can bet ya tha my type r beats ur 15" fi or whatever u got and its only 12 and hits 140 on termlab. so dont flame it on sub if someone decies to blow it like u blow ur dad :D flame is to jimmy the gayball

  • @jimmybal10

i had my 12 inch type r running off of 800wrms (give or take 50-75 thats still 700+) n my type r didnt even get warm.. ive even heard stories of people putting 1000wrms to 12 inch type r's, soo whats this about underpowering when i wired mines to 2ohms on a opti1400d rated 800wrms @2ohm.. n i was feeding it around 13v constant.. FI is good but why spend the extra money if your not going to competition with it?

  • @aznphucka thequality of the sound music my god! fi q is one of the best sound quality subwoofer and still hit HARD and it can take from 1000rms to 1800rms depends on if you use them properly the thing about type r's are that everyone who have a subwoofer have one. cause best buy future shop sales them 299.99 each... thats pretty high priced for what they can give you i have someone at my work that have tw typ r 12" in ported box runing on two sundown audio ampsina99explorer does n sound like me

  • @jimmybal10

ok now your talkin SQL theres a major difference between that and people just wanting to be loud.. get that shit through your head. also factor in what they been subjected to and the price range of their wallets. because ill be damned if i pay retail for my subs, my type r only cost me $60.. shit if i had $299 to spend on a sub i still wouldnt go with FI , id be lookin more into TC sounds, maybe even JL.. theres soo much bullshit out there its hard for these guys to sort them out..

  • @aznphucka yah i know but the problem is that jl cost 699$ a piece.. thats called too much for me lol... tc sounds i heard of them but i live in canada so i dont know if they can ship here. where did you bought your alpine cause normally on internet they are 149$

  • @jimmybal10 well i guess if your an idiot, like you and your friends you can under power them all you want, I'll just go ahead and overpower them in a huge box with a shit load of port area and theyre still fine 2 years later.....moron....

  • @blazinloud lol you still need some speaker cause all you hear is bass

  • @blazinloud you're a freakin retard. fi's are actually under rated compared to the type r's. i have one type r that will blow your p.o.s. fi btl 12 out of the water. it's in the right box and is louder than every dual 12 setup i've heard. type r's can accept 600rms-1500rms depending on the box. so go suck your dad's dick like jimmy already said you were.

  • @blazinloud i been running my pair of type rs on 2k for almost a year, no smelly coils, no problems at all.

  • how do you get 1 ohm out of 2 ohm subs?

  • @coolieprinceryo if your refering to mine, theyre dual 4's

  • @coolieprinceryo wire in parallel

  • @coolieprinceryo wire them in parallel

  • how do you like the amp? is it any good? im thinking about getting the same exact one.

  • @dreezy505 they're some of the best.

  • Thats a really nice setup, Alpines are the way to go !! I was just wondering, whats this R E's website that you keep talking about ? Do you think you could inbox me the website coz ima be putting a sub in my ride soon.... Cheers !

  • @xDOZZAx just google "re box builder" or something.

  • @blazinloud Yeah i found it a bit after, cheers anyway bro !

  • Song? :D

  • thank god someone knows a good custom box lol.. people have them in 55 hz 1.5 cubes, wtf.

sweet setup.. im gonna do the same in my ranger.. my 1 10'' alpine type r is hitting 135.2 in a 2.5 cube box with port area 2x as small as it should be.

very nice. ima go copy you now :P

  • ROBLN460 dosn't know wat he's talking about. They are obviously NOT bottoming out or we would hear a horrible knock... Type-R's are very versatile subs that can be used in small and huge enclosures. I ran my R's on a MMATS D1500.1 well over rms for a couple years w no issues at all

  • bomb setup man, looks like ur using the type r's to the fullest with that box! Keep wangin'!

  • niceeeee

  • Nice setup..have you ran it on the TL?

  • @ShaunDiener i wish, but it gets damn loud

  • seems relly nice but they are bottoming out, thats too much air space for those subs man they only need about 1.75- 2.00 cubic feet per sub

  • mad setup bro, i seriously wish i could hear it in person, :(

  • shit slams bro

  • thats what the program came up with for me, so i built it. R E's website has a box building program thats very simple to use.

  • nice box.but the port it's not to big?

  • thats a nice ass box. Make ir urself? im lookin to make a box for my blazer for the exact subs. still got specs??

  • Damn slappin hard.....

  • The funny thing is if he kept the video going for another 5 minutes bye bye Type Rs XD theres a vid on here with a guy cooking it at just 700 watts rms in rougly 2-3 minutes.

  • yea an that guy don't have a clue about clipping amps either , that was distorted dirty power.

  • Im looking to buy 2 type R's 12" and run them off the alpine MRP M1000 amp in a custom built 2.5 cuft box. You think this will pound? im not talking about loud bass i want blurred vision XD or my next choice is that jbl bandpass subwoofer. Doesnt look half bad sensitivy of 96db! and hits rougly 700 watts rms. Its called the JBL GTO-1204BP look it up! either this or the vibe iv been lookin at Vibe AC 12 TWIN Double 12" BandPass enclosure

  • @basshedz06 that was right after i installed them with basically no tuning and a headunit i was still toying with. got them sounding alot cleaner now.

  • it is true! its all about the enclosure! i didnt expect that kind of flexing! omgness props! so you say 800 rms to each?

  • Comment removed

  • nice flex

  • for real probs best type rs ive seen on youtube, i got 2 of em in a sealed box, am gonna go ported on the hols. could you give dimensions? and mdf width? and if its l shape? good work bro

  • theres a box builder on re audios website, gives all the cut out sheets.....

  • around 800

  • gotta be more than 600 watts each

  • nice subs bro thats a koo setup that shit hits . check out my videos . u should rename the video
