@parjanyasen.....in fact it is other way round bade ghulam is hindustani music and yesudas is carnatic....so learn the difference.

@achulliyil...I am quite aware of the difference in the two traditions of classical music... I wasn't making a case of carnatic vs. hindusthani..bade ghulam ali khan's version is a hindhusthani thumri whereas yesudas's one is a mainstream 'film' song (not a carnatic rendition)...so perhaps its you who should be mindful of the difference..

I like yesudas's version...but am generally not fond of this mainstream rendition..same reason why i prefer Indubala's 'Mohe Panghat Pe' to Lata's song

Wah Wah waht a song..man i saw this movie on TV back in da days where they had sunday matnee.................i believe this was a telefilm..........i visulized vinod khanna as actor singing. how ever yes....... long live desi music ( old is gold )
