  • We rescued Roxy our great pyrenees when she was 4 months old. She had the baby hair on her head that stood up. It was soo cute. Now she is a huge dog that is a big baby. you should check out my video of my great pyrenees roxy it's pretty cute! :)

  • @redheadalisha nice vi yo ushould check out mine :)

  • By the way, in the summer, my dogs go out when they want, and they stay in the A/C when they want.I love my dogs and treat/feed them well. They return the favor with love and affection. They love going for long walks, they also like sitting in my wife's lap watching tv.Forget about answering the door/phone when a pyr is in your lap! I have 2 pyrs and 2 rescues shepherd mix and border collie. Our youngest pyr likes to sit on the steps and watch her "kingdom" for people/dogs/ or leaves encroaching.

  • hi i have a great pyrenees too his name is fluffy and his 4 months i wanted to ask you something do they eat chicken?

and thanks for ur answer :)

  • I think everyone should start calling them Magwa.....this is how you say it....Ma (like the MO in molly)...g (like in gas)....wa (like the WA in wash)...Magwa!!!!

Its a word that says it all...friendly, intellegent, huge(MEGA), funny, and cute!!!

but MAGWA is for female...ROGWA is for males!!!

  • She looks so cute. I adopted my great pyrenees about 2 years ago. It's the best thing that I've ever done. She's a joy. She's an inside dog here in hot Texas.

  • that great more power to your family and pets yes i enjoyed

  • Great photos! Our Pyrenees Daisy is just over 14. Her hips have gone on her and he have to help her around a lot. Damn shame she has to get old. She's more pampered than ever and enjoying the time she has left.

  • good luck getting them to exercise! I have been around pyres my whole life (12 years hehe) ,and i know one thing is that there is a RULE in the pyre world that all exercise is NOT to happen... They weren't really bred to herd the sheep.. just watch them.. so they dont have a lot of energy showing.. But trust me they can be EXTREMELY FAST when they want to be! Right after they get out of your grasp when you open the door THE'RE OFF, so for all ppl that r thinking bout gettin 1, They not trainable

  • I think these are beutiful dogs i don't see how anyone can see they have been inside i have a rottie ad maybe looking to getting one of these gorguse dogs :) I don't see how they have been inside all there life and they can be with regular excersize

  • snowflake and twinkle are so precious

such gentle giants filled with unconditional love of their masters and such a happy to be alive breed; barking for the sheer pleasure of it as barking is their laughter...it's beautiful

they'll guard the moon, the sun, the grass, the trees, the sofa, other pets, and everything to always be of service

    love spicey and sugar

oh yeah...elevated food bowls are a plus by easing their joints

  • Gorgeous!!! My pyr was a rescue and she LOVED being an inside dog- I have a big house and I like it very cool!! She was my constant companion. Pyrs make great indoor pets because they have a low metabolism. I have confirmed this from vets and breeders alike. The person who made the negative comment on here is not informed.

  • God i love the size of these beautiful creatures, when i was a little girl i thought they were polar bears!!

  • Beautiful. Just beautiful. I've got a rescued pyr. She's was a guardian for our livestock before retiring. Now she's just one of my best friends. Best dogs ever. Congratulations on your new babies.

  • I am confused. She lives outside 95% of the time. By the way she just had 7 puppies on Nov.30 2009.

  • u sure?cuz they look like inside dogs to me.

  • @mike10251947 Congratulations on the pups! Your Pyrs are adorable, what a lovely video, I can remember seeing my first in Spain many years ago, they are beautiful, gentle and sweet natured family dogs! :)

  • @bluegama500 I wish people would not jump to conclusions before enquiring, you rude ignorant person, it's disgusting that you violated Mike's lovely video with your foul attitude and wild assumptions! May I suggest that you ask before you put your foot in you mouth and hurt someone's feelings who obviously loves and cares for their dogs!

  • @cat32sheff If you were smart enough to look at the comment date you would realize it was a year ago.

So don't come insulting me for what I said a year ago. I can assure you I know a lot more about this breed than you. Over the last year I have been researching all kinds of dog breeds and have already learned just about everything you idiot,.

So no, your the ignorant person, judging me by an old comment. It seems you hsould learn the meaning of ignorance.

  • @bluegama500 I did look at the date, but time is not the issue here, my guess is more likely that I know more about dogs & dog psychology than you probably do having studied in depth as a hobby for over 20 years and owned and cared for dogs since the age of 2. But I know a doting owner who has the best interests of the dogs when I see it!

  • @bluegama500 I am not ignorant, never have been. Neither am I an idiot with a masters PHD in Psychology and a qualified Hypnotherapist, and yet you are still clearly rude and abusive if you are resorting to defacing peoples character with your consistent use of slanderous language and intolerant aggression. May I suggest you go and get your self some therapy for the anger issues you obviously have!

  • @cat32sheff "Neither am I an idiot with a masters PHD in Psychology and a qualified Hypnotherapist"

What has having a masters degree have to do with the subject. I know an idiot with a masters degree in science. He is very stupid when it comes to everything besides science. Just because you have a masters degree doesn't mean your smart.

All degrees do is inflate peoples egos. They just go around "Ha I'm so smart I have a degree", degrees just make people cockheads.

  • @bluegama500 Wow you really do have issues! Yes having a degree does mean that you are smart, but you were the one who questioned my intelligence, so I merely explained how intelligent I really am. You wouldn't know a decent debate if it slapped you in the face, your the one that is rude and ignorant, you even have to resort to using foul language to lash out when you are corrected. There is no point in carrying on this conversation as you are not mature enough to speak in an appropriate manner.

  • "go and get your self some therapy for the anger issues you obviously have!"

I actually never get angry, nor was I ever angry on this page. Its funny how you call me angry yet your the one yelling.

"I did look at the date, but time is not the issue here" Yes it is. It was a year ago. The argument was over ages ago. You just wanted to start an argument, tough guy.

No, you don't breed dogs .Ever single person here on yotube says they breed dogs.

  • @bluegama500 I wasn't yelling, I am calm and rational, I just dislike seeing people being verbally abused and accused of something they haven't done.

I actually used to breed Siberian huskies and race them too, they lived outside and were trained daily for what they do best. So there you go making assumptions yet again. I can put up a short video with loads of old photo's, just ask!

And yet another assumption, I'm a female not a 'guy'. You should rethink before your mouth opens!!!

  • @bluegama500 The only reason why I chose to point out your behaviour was that you never apologised to that poor man, even after he had corrected you kindly all you had to say in return was "u sure? they look like inside dogs to me." That is not an apology! Get over yourself and swallow your pride... there's nothing wrong with inviting your outside dog into your home sometimes for some well deserved affection, it is a positive bonding time between dog and family & has no negative implications.

  • So don't get too up yourself.

I know there is nothing wrong with letting your dogs inside. But you shouldn't let them inside all day. They need to be outside. The reason I didn't apologize was because I still knew that his dogs lived inside. He just didn't know it. He just goes "We only let them inside sometimes", yeah that is why in every single photo they are inside, thats also why they lack muscle.

  • @bluegama500 I agree, most dogs are outside animals unless they were specifically bred vulnerable to the cold, like he Chinese hairless etc, however I see no muscle wastage on either of those dogs and I do see photo's of them being walked, maybe he finds it easier to take photo's in a contained area so the dogs are still and not running around. Just ask people before you make assumptions, then we wouldn't be having this debate in regards to your conduct.

  • @bluegama500 Beautiful dogs, lovely people enjoying themselves, ONE SELF RIGHTEOUS overeducated blowhard who is crying out for attention, the dogs are inside dogs because "every single photo they are inside" and "they lack muscle" ? May I point out that one thing GREAT about pyrenees is their massive FUR coat?

You know they are inside all the time because of a couple of seconds of video/pics, and have eyes that defy physics seeing through all the hair? I would not hire u even as a detective.

  • So how about you give up trying to be big and stand over me.

This argument is over, just like the other one was ages ago.

  • @bluegama500 I am not big, I'm actually only 5ft 4, but obviously you can't handle being informed of how your behaviour affects other people. & Ditto, this argument is over as I am obviously wasting my time on a person who is never going to change, with a foul mouth that has to resort to swearing when corrected!

  • @bluegama500

You have been researching all kinds of dog breeds over the last year, and already you have learned just about everything? Haha. People go a lifetime working with and training dogs, and never get close to learning just about everything. I guess your PhD in psychology was also accomplished during the course of a year, and you probably got your hypnotherapist qualification over the course of a week. That's just how much of a genius you are, innit? Lol.

  • @bluegama500 why make unnecessary assumptions? A few photos showing this dog inside doesn't mean it spent its whole life inside. Think before you speak. My malamute spends 95% of his time outside as well. Alot of my pictures are of him inside getting hugs and playing etc.

Before you speak with such arrogance, maybe dont make such negative assumptions.

By the way Twinkle is gorgeous mike! cheers

  • @bluegama500 I have 1 and he loves the inside because he has a family he spends his time with

  • i would love to see more twinkle videos. i aam getting my great pyrenees puppy on august 19. im so excited. he will be 6 months old

  • sorry I did not answer sooner. Send me a picture of your puppy. By the way, Twinkle just had 7 puppies of her own Nov.30, 2009.

  • They are such pretty dogs. :P

  • Such a sweet compilation! Thanks for sharing, mike10251947.

  • Fantastic video. We have two Pyrs (Kodiak and Towner) in addition to a Keeshond puppy (10 mos). Just wait until they're both full grown. We're having the time of our lives!!!

  • Twinkle is beautiful. We love our Boone, he is 14 months old and weighed in at 134 yesterday. We have a couple of videos of him on youtube.
