The irony of apologetics, trying to explain away all the atrocities,failures, and contradictions in a holy text said to be inspired by a perfect god. Deism makes far more sense.

Oh and I've met a hinduist, they are far less insecure with their beliefs than christians and far more peaceful as well.

@eric000eric Even Plato and Aristotle believed in something eternal from pure human reasoning, they just didn't know Jesus.

@eric000eric The reason why Dr. Adkins usually doesn't use the bible is because reasoning and the bible go hand in hand, although we won't understand everything about God. God is a reasonable God, and logic leads to something eternal. Reasoning leads to God. God even says in the bible that the heavens in the sky shows that there is a God, thus God uses natural causes and effects to speak his word.

I would agree with this video accept my experience of free thinking in the 1960s and 70s resulted in a rise of alternative spiritualism and mysticism especially in Pagan Wicca religions, Spiritualism, and Buddhism.

and Today the attraction to epic myths such as in Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter.

regardless if anyone really believes in that sort of thing or not, it seems to me the desire to search for more than what is before our eyes is stronger than ever.
