I went there with my friends youth group so I could get out of school for a while. I already knew Jesus, but I was expecting some boring preacher. When these guys came up I was like, "Ok, this could be pretty cool." After the 1st day of Dare2Share i was thinking, "That was amazing." The next couple days I was really into the whole thing, and when It eventually ended, I didnt want to go. I was too close to the people there and too close to God to want to leave.
Lake Pointe in Rockwall does covers on this in almost every service. Eveytime I hear this I just start bawling. Those guys are supper close to sounding just like Shane&Shane. I can't stop crying now after I heard this.
@tommym202 It's a worship album. Most songs on these types of things are covers. Doesn't detract from the quality of their musicianship or the validity of the songs.
you can really hear it 3:06 to like 3:09...theres definitely editing and stuff if not autotune. but its good. tasteful. if you have to argue if it's there then it sounds natural enough.
@ashingtonagain I didn't hear autotune. I think you're mistaking autotune for good singing and great harmony. If you really know Shane & Shane, you'll know they harmonize VERY well and wouldn't cheapen it by using autotune.
@BurnmyBunghole When used correctly, autotune smoothes out rough edges, but unfortunately has a distinct residual effect on the sound of the voices. They used it ever so slightly. Shane and Shane has influenced a lot of my own writing and worship leading so I'm not attempting to cheapen their recording. It's also possible the sound I hear could have been an effect of a compressor they put on their voices. Either way, it doesn't sound like a typical quality Shane and Shane recording.
@BurnmyBunghole this is a studio recording. These guys do harmonize extremely well, but I am pretty positive they are using autotune on this track. The vocal tracks between 3:10-3:50 go from their natural thick sounding male voices to constricted "auto-tuned" filtered voices, then back. Listen closely. I do believe it is there.
