  • Wonderful, , , Thank you God for sending Joni our way!

  • Is Joni wearing her nightie?

  • @ChiroQuacker ~ You sound like a lonely, bitter person yourself, to make such a snide, nasty comment about an artist who's truly earned her fame (and her million dollar house).

The songs and talent of Joni Mitchell have brought pleasure to millions of people across the world. You, on the other hand are a jealous, small minded nobody and always will be. It's so plain from your spiteful comment. Do yourself a big favour and shut the fuck up.

  • @BrokenLevee50 Maybe he was just trying to be funny, and not actually ripping on Joni in a mean spirit way.

  • @BrokenLevee50

    Bloody well said.

  • The sax player is Zoot from the Muppets doing a Cameo.

  • Wonderful Show. I remember it well OMG I was there

  • @ChiroQuacker What a weird comment to make! LOL

How do you know about that?

  • @ChiroQuacker Wow!, so Now's not the time for me to hit her up for a couple of bucks? Why isn't this video not sync'd up? Too much cocaine?

  • wasn't it great to be "in Love with Bein' In Love.".what a marvelous time.Joni the beautiful angel of love..blessing us all. I'm still looking for my Own Joni Mitchel dreamy california Blonde with the River of Passion flowing out of her.

  • I know Joni did not write "Twisted" but that doesn't change the fact that induing this song she

showed a whole different side of herself: her playfulness as well as her ability to sing certified

jazz song. She had me checking out Lamber, Hendricks and Ross when I was in high school.

I thinks she did it better!

  • Notice those open-string tunings? Folklore says she learned the technique from Dave Crosby

  • She is Canadian. Can she be recognized by the Queen, somehow? Dame Joni!

  • She is Canadian. Can she be recognized somehow by the Queen. Dame Joni!

  • @THEJET52 Yes, you are right, she is from Saskatchewan and is of Irish and Sami heriitage. Sami are northern Finland's aboriginal people. You can see this in her bone structure as well as in her outlook in her music, which is very tied to the land. But so are the Irish. It's like she had no choice but to make the songs she did, it's in her blood and soul : )

  • Is that John Klemmer on Sax? Sounds just like him. Joni is genius. When is academia going to acknowledge her with an honorary PhD? Doctor of music, Joni Mitchell!

  • @THEJET52 That's Mr Tom SCott

  • @ClipontheEar Good, because David Sandborn just bores me.

  • Perfect in every way!

  • It doesn't get much better than this....

  • I've been waiting for a live version of this to show up!

  • Lagalette est francaise?

  • @cjendret Oui !

  • What...no backing vocals from the band? As perfect as Joni is...I know those dudes can sing as well.

  • @Amicus1952 not to mention the downward Sax progression - I mean seriously WTF is he filling in for?

  • Vocally at her peak. And a playful side of her revealed here and on twisted she

must have been in the zone to know she could go against type so awfully good.

People mssed a lot of her humor but this song, twisted, jUst like this train are

all examples of sly playfulness yet still revealing. Joni north south east west!

Glad this recording exists. Thanks for posting!

  • @nosnayack Joni didn't write 'Twisted' - it was written and performed by Lambert, Hendricks & Ross in the early 1960s. She did it brilliantly, though.

  • How is this NOT on DVD?? Beautiful ....

  • Help me live in London in 1974.

  • John Guerin on Drums R.I.P.

  • another breezy mess from

    bucky's beaver

    tom scott is good, though

  • They played this song so much on the radio in 1974 that i started to like it.Her cord at 0.52 and 2:16 is what caught my attention.I never new the words she was saying but i liked how she added extra words to measures at 1:41.After looking the words up on the internet, i understood what she was singing about. To hang out with a lady with holes in her stockings and her not being worried about it,sounds like a fun lady to be with.

  • @4959jtl Yes the chord at 0.52 was a beautiful note. One of my fave 1970's songs.

  • @4959jtl She's a treasure!!

  • What an absolutely talented and beautiful lady! SHE IS SIMPLY AWESOME!

  • 1974 such a golden year for music

  • Tom Scott - Sax, Robben Ford - Guitar..
