In Germany you have The Left (Die Linke), a very far left socialistic party that has the goal of overthrowing capitalism, and creating a new socialist Germany. Come on, we already had that, and many people died because of it. But no, "Die Linke" states that mentioning eastern Germany is "perverting the socialist idea"!!!

Obama did not give them any smooth talk you idiot. He gave them something that a republican would have trouble giving, he gave them hope of a fresh, renewed relationship between the European countries and the United States. Find his speech on the web, print it. Its about 4 pages. Erase all the words about 'hope' and 'together' and the praising of the USA, and you're left with his plan for continuation of present wars and starting new ones. He points out who are the bad guys, and why they are, and that he needs Europe to fight for the so called values that the US has long lost. If the US wants to fight for the right values, they should start with the restauration of their constitution. Lets talk more after that.
