thank you so much..... because I have 4-H judging tommorrow and I'm drawing George Washington and I couldn't get his hair right.........THANK YOU!!!!!
completley disagree with how hair is done from this video, even with highlights this technique creates a flat look, and how can you do light hair with this technique
hair isnt the repeating of lots of long lines, for a portrait its jus the few vital ones that create its flow, thats what gives it the most 3d realistic look
first make the outline of the hair you want to make. then you do the technique she showed you, and then add in some highlights, or shading, while doing that you can redefine the shape of the hair by adding/ lessoning the shape of it. then you can add a few loose strands. when done your picture should be the result of something fabulous!!! :D
when I saw the shaky camera I wasn't expecting much, but that was really helpful! I always used to just colour in hair the way you said not to. Thanks for the tip!
I like how you simplified this! Most of the other tutorials are far away or going 600 mph. Here you have shown an easy technique to get great results! 5 stars!
A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand
Thank u so much. My teacher shouwed us how to do this, but I did not really get it. But once I saw urs I knew what I was doing wrong and my project came out 100% better ^^! Thank u so much :D!
i have a question? how do u make hair highlights with ur eraser cuz when ever i try i either eraser to big of a line of its not bright enough cuz some pictures i do there are strands of highlighted hair hanging over the stroke of pencil and i can never get it right.
darn.. lie=ke, no offence.. butalmost every artist on youtube is right-handed!!! Has anyone noticed? Like.. did anyone know that da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael were left-handed? Left-handed people are true artists!
some people may be able to comrehend the drawing techniques and apply them almost to perfection.. but that is only copying from other artists and books, but there will never be people like da Vinci or michelngelo again. These types of people, beside the technique they learn, have something else...the sistine chapel, for example: look at how michelangelo used his ideas to create that muscular physique of God and adam. my god...he went beyond the technique!!
i believe someone can. with enough experience and perseverance, he or she can be as great as them. i myself dont copy from other people nor books...im exploring different stuff myself and different techniques...its just a matter of exploration and a wide range of ideas.
haha.. the thing with me is that I'm right-handed from my mother, but right-brained from my father, since he's lefty...so I got both the creative side and the right hand...
Oh, this seems helpful. ;) Thank you for the great tutorial. I'm sure lots of people (me encluded xD) have problems drawing hair, and this is just aperfect tutorial for them. Very nice. :D

left handed or not, the drawing is the most important thing. though those artists are the greatest..people can still reach to their level.

that's right...but for that to work you must bu left-handed and have an incredible imagination :)
