  • lol on 1:50 thats how i draw hair thats why i looked this up thx

  • 25 people just color in hair instead of using this technique

  • my hair is curly !!

  • wow, i cqnt draw lines! interesting!

  • That's usefull and really helpfull.

The sound and the picture is clear.

    Thanks;)

  • i hole my pen/pencil like this and the teacher says its wrong

  • thanks ur vid helped me alot!

  • completley disagree with how hair is done from this video, even with highlights this technique creates a flat look, and how can you do light hair with this technique

hair isnt the repeating of lots of long lines, for a portrait its jus the few vital ones that create its flow, thats what gives it the most 3d realistic look

  • Houston, we have a problem...I mean hair :)

  • @TMTKowalski lol

  • Thanks for the tips!

  • ok thanks

  • the accutext (TM) makes it possible to use these devices easy!!

  • first make the outline of the hair you want to make. then you do the technique she showed you, and then add in some highlights, or shading, while doing that you can redefine the shape of the hair by adding/ lessoning the shape of it. then you can add a few loose strands. when done your picture should be the result of something fabulous!!! :D

  • I watched the vid because of her name. o.o

  • "How to draw hair"... ITS A BOX! :D

  • Not quite what I was looking for.. Almost like telling me what a bug looks like by describing a corner of a wing...

  • this really helped me!! thanks!

  • awesome!! :D

thats how i do it but i don't use pen or a regular pencil i use a Mechanical Pencil idk why but i fins those a little more easier.

    lol

  • when I saw the shaky camera I wasn't expecting much, but that was really helpful! I always used to just colour in hair the way you said not to. Thanks for the tip!

  • what kind of pencil is that

  • I like how you simplified this! Most of the other tutorials are far away or going 600 mph. Here you have shown an easy technique to get great results! 5 stars!

    lynda.

  • man, even your do not shade everything in box is good looking...

  • My hair always comes out really cheesy looking, so I'll try like this!

  • ty this was cool and very helpful

  • great tutorial

  • thanks

this was really helpful. I was kinda doing that type of technique to simulate realistic hair, but yours seems more refined ^_^

  • It Helped But It Only Showed You The Texture It Didn't Show You How To Actually Draw It Onto Someone, Why Else Would We Draw Hair? Good Though,

    3 And Half / 5...

  • i have a question? how do u make hair highlights with ur eraser cuz when ever i try i either eraser to big of a line of its not bright enough cuz some pictures i do there are strands of highlighted hair hanging over the stroke of pencil and i can never get it right.

  • Try a kneaded eraser....u can make thin points

  • oh i already figured out a way but thanks

  • same lefty here!*high five*! go leftys!nooffence rightys

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

so its not going to work opn lefty's??

    F*

    im lefty

  • it is helpful!!!

  • we may be true artist but our hand writting suckkkks

  • sweet i must be a true artist

  • darn.. lie=ke, no offence.. butalmost every artist on youtube is right-handed!!! Has anyone noticed? Like.. did anyone know that da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael were left-handed? Left-handed people are true artists!

  • left handed or not, the drawing is the most important thing. though those artists are the greatest..people can still reach to their level.

  • some people may be able to comrehend the drawing techniques and apply them almost to perfection.. but that is only copying from other artists and books, but there will never be people like da Vinci or michelngelo again. These types of people, beside the technique they learn, have something else...the sistine chapel, for example: look at how michelangelo used his ideas to create that muscular physique of God and adam. my god...he went beyond the technique!!

  • i believe someone can. with enough experience and perseverance, he or she can be as great as them. i myself dont copy from other people nor books...im exploring different stuff myself and different techniques...its just a matter of exploration and a wide range of ideas.

  • that's right...but for that to work you must bu left-handed and have an incredible imagination :)

  • im right handed yet all my drawings are pretty good. (not bragging or what...)

  • haha.. the thing with me is that I'm right-handed from my mother, but right-brained from my father, since he's lefty...so I got both the creative side and the right hand...

  • haha lol.

well then, cheers for you :)

  • ohh... so it works that way ?

    cool genetics...

    my mum can paint .

    i do portraits...

    she's LOVELY at painting .

    i swear ! =]

  • That's not true. My boyfriend is left-handed and couldn't draw to have his life, let-alone mine.

  • great tips, thanks a lot =)

  • you sound like an astronaut in space, haha cool

  • Oh, this seems helpful. ;) Thank you for the great tutorial. I'm sure lots of people (me encluded xD) have problems drawing hair, and this is just aperfect tutorial for them. Very nice. :D
