Of course the person that cheats will take that position. He is an idiot! Adding additional injury to the marriage with such a superficial comment. The person betrayed is the one that has to deal with the healing, the pictures in your head, and the realization that you married a person with serious character flaws. Which is really the core of why people cheat. Has nothing to do with whether you were getting what you needed. You can choose to not hurt the other person and do the right thing!

If a person feels they are not getting what they need from their relationship, it's their job to make sure they inform ther partner so that they can do what ever it is they can, to fix it. And if they are unwilling to change then that's when you "end" the relationship. There is no need to ever step out on someone you "supposedly" love. And I can never justify infidelity or betrayal.
