Yea I agree, generally when people talk about shredding it's the mindless babble crap you hear at guitar competitions and music stores.. Musically - yea he shreds and it's SEXY.

THAT riff is played by Steve Lukather.He played all guitars and bass on that song.Eddie Van Halen played the solo.Paul Jackson Jr plays on others songs of that record....
