  • just clicked to see what clip another amateurs have done and what i found was trailer to real film.. yay!

  • If I pay 10 dollars to watch a movie I expect to see some action, not to people fucking I could easily go home and hit up porn hub for that. Damn liberals are just blinded in chains.

  • If it was just about helping parents to decide whether or not to take their kids, then how do they explain NC-17? It means no kids; parents, you have no choice.

  • i love how sex in moviees= bad

    sex in music=good

    violence in movies=good

    violence in music=bad

  • I will always disagree with the MPAA but in the end just mark it as one of those things you just have to live with. But what really pisses me off is the bullshit hypocrisy. Like that asshole Valienti pretending like the MPAA rating is just a friendly suggestion & it doesnt really matter, like he just doesnt know what all the fuss is about. Dont piss on my head & tell me its rain. He knows damn well an MPAA rating is imperative & an NC-17 is not an option

  • How do MPAA ratings work? It's easy:

    The King's Speech: rated R

    Sucker Punch: rated PG-13

    See how simple that was?

  • I just saw thsi on Netflix and it was very eye-opening. How did they distribute this movie if it never got rated? I'm glad Netflix is more willing than Wal-Mart to provide such movies.

  • Looks left, now look right.

You will now go out and buy 10 copies of this film.

    ;)

  • WTF is this? whats so bad about rating movies, the more we see, the better..after all, seeing the more realistic side of life isnt necessarily bad for viewers, consider it a bit of a reality check.and sex, well its censored alot of times cause the whole world watches tv and movies, including kids, so its not too bad to show a bit of it, but this worlds pretty corrupt,so seeing it on the screen aint shit compared to the real thang, u kno?maybe its for da better if u think about it

  • For the "breast exposed" bit talked about at 1:08, for those who are wondering what movie they're talking about in that scene, it's "Memoirs of a Geisha", which was rated PG-13 (despite the sexual content presented).

  • I have HBO, so All I see is Tits and Swearing.

  • "Censorship gets f*cked"

    Fucking fail.

  • @hidenorivideo

    That was on purpose...

  • thumbs up if you like THIS FILM IS NOT YET RATED- Trailer

  • I like the opening line to the opening song in family guy "it seems today that all you see is violence in movies and sex on TV" lol Lois she nailed it right on the head! now if you can have sex on tv where kids can see it why not sex in movies, and vice versa? I'm doing a persuasive speech on how the movie rating system is rigged, and I seem to only find people that agree with me and don't oppose my view on it not being rigged. I think it is! It should be up to us to determine a movie rating!

  • FUCK THE MPAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Violence in my opinion is far worse than sex... with violence they openly show men beating men senselessly to death or shooting them a thousand times were as sex... well good ol dick in the vagina never condoned smacking someones skull into a brick wall so yeah

  • @aODSTstudio

    Sex.. rape?

  • @texas224 i wouldn't consider that sex

  • @aODSTstudio yes I agree with you, it has more of an affect especially with kids because Violence is allowed on tv, even though sex is not as bad as violence seeing that no one gets hurt or dies (though it has happened) there is "rape" which as you know is forced and even violent sexual contact. I don't consider that sex though because one person is not in consent to it. What I'm saying is, is that sex at one level is equal to violence. Either way we shouldn't let kids see it, 4 their innocence

  • @Richiko06 That was pretty much my point but what i was trying to say is "Whats worse?" know what i mean

  • @aODSTstudio Then you are a idiot. Sex is a traumatizing thing to see happen especially to a kid. But kids love to see something die in a film. And it is perverted to say otherwise.

  • @soldiereleven that's just how society is raised. its nurture not nature.

  • watch mysterious skin it is really really good

  • @rabbit2junk rofl

  • You know? I am a Conservative. There are somethings I don't want my kids to see. But some of the ratings are a frickin joke. People are going to watch what they want. And yes. I do think that this might an interesting watch.

  • @clannmacgregor I am too. Kids are exposed to too many adult things these days, and that is taking away their innocence. I think parents should be more involved in the movie rating system, when I saw movies with my nieces (my friend is like a sister to me) I saw the things in them and the adult humor and violence and I was like "This is a G movie? or PG movie? No way!"

  • @Richiko06 In "G" and "PG" movies, kids often don't understand the adult humor. Excluding the potty humor, most G and PG movies do a pretty good job making their adult humor rather subtle. (i.e. You'll only understand the humor if you already know what it means) I wouldn't be surprised if most of the people in the movie rating system are parents since most people are parents. Parents definitely need to be vigilante when it comes to what movies they allow their kids to watch.

  • @QueenAnime99 Yes by why is it okay for that group of parents say it's okay for my kids to watch violent movies and not sex movies? They can monitor what they want THEIR kid to watch but hey, let's keep things in perspective. .

  • @campcurry No offense, but I don't know what you're talking about. In response to Richiko06's comment, l said that I'm pretty sure most of the people involved in the rating system are parents and that parents need to be more vigilante when it comes to movies they allow their kids to watch. You obviously agree with both statements. I NEVER said that a group of parents should have say when it comes to what's okay for your children; you said that. Good day.

  • @QueenAnime99 Wrong.. Most (NOT all, though) of that organiztion are made up of pastors

  • @penscratcher According to Wikipedia's MPAA page and the MPAA's official site, the MPAA is made up of parents. And btw, being a pastor doesn't rule out parenthood. You might be thinking of Catholic Priests. LOL.

  • @QueenAnime99 Ya youre right :) Still My overall opinion is... The MPAA ratings system needs a complete overhall

  • @penscratcher Oh, I agree completely. I think there's always room for improvement. I can't wait to see "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" because they bring up some great points.

  • I don't think they are literally comparing the MPAA to the fascist leaders' crimes, but more or less to the fact of how strict the MPAA is, you know? Between the early 30s and mid 40s, Germany was censored to the views of the Nazis. The MPAA censors things to their own views as well. That's how I perceived it anyways.

  • Oh for fuck's sake, it is NOT a "fascist" system. Since when did we need to vastly understate the crimes of Mussolini and Hitler to criticize the MPAA?

  • @eligottlieb Fascism need not be on the level of Hitler and Mussolini to be consider fascism. It simply means an authoritarian form of government. The MPAA governs movie ratings in a way that some argue is overly strict. Therefor it is not completely unfounded to contend that the MPAA is fascist.

The connotations of the word are more potent than its denotation. I see your point, though; it may have been underhanded of them to use a term so closely associated with Hitler.

  • @SalientK Fascism means something far more specific than "an authoritarian form of government". Look it up.

  • @eligottlieb "Look it up." That's specifically what I did before writing my comment. You look it up.

  • in a lot of ways, sex AND violence are just human nature...

  • why would you disable embeding, i'm promoting your video and giving you views... are you crazy?

  • Anyone know any other NC-17 movies?

Ones with the whole female body !

  • About time there was some transparency. Who qualified these fascists to decide for everyone what they are allowed to see? To me its sick that i see dead bodies in late night news but a naked human is a problem. For me that sort of suggests the need for psychiatric help rather than a good sense of reasonable judgement.

  • who counts the f**ks? LMAO that part killed me. I liked this movie!

  • I hate that every time i go on chat roulette, all i see is penis!

  • @dttaz erm, learn to use a content filter, particularly if you have a family.

  • Avatar has nipples in it... What was the rating of that again?

  • look at the ratings... the mpaa has 12 members. FIND THEM ALL!

  • 12 people who disliked this work for the MPAA. Bastards.

  • WE HAVE TO GO DEEPER

  • Why was this just in my sub box?

  • I watched this on netflix a while back. It's available for streaming if you are a customer. It wasn't half bad, with a ton of very talented industry professionals.

    movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/This_Film_Is_Not_Yet_Rated/70043954?trkid=2361637#height1546

(no financial interest in netflix.. just a customer trying to help out other customers if even just a little bit)

  • About time someone fucked the fuckers.

Governance of any kind from secret enclaves must be undone.

If they can't be held publicly accountable then they have no business operating on American soil.

  • @alexisriddle Your statement is simply not true. In all but a very small handful of US cities states, it is explicitly illegal for a woman to be topless in public. The places where it is illegal easily cover 95% or more of the US population. Please check your facts before you go correcting people.

  • In Europe, they made the opposite decision a while back - boobs OK, violence not. Who has the better culture? (and get to look at boobs all day in shampoo commercials)?

  • yeah so basically once you get through the bullshit this is about the age old debate about censorship dressed in silly editing.

The conspiracy nuts are gonna have a field day with this... oiii

  • Why sex and violence are even compared? People fight in the streets everyday, not a big deal. Unless they are trying to take sex to a level where its ok to walk down the streets and see two people fucking each other and tell your kid it's fine.

  • @IprototypeI

Where do you live where people fight in the streets every day? Because I sure as hell want to avoid it.

If cops find people having sex in the street, they get arrested. If cops find people fighting in the street, guess what, they get arrested.

  • @IprototypeI It's not people fucking. It's just boobs. Lots of cultures accept nudity in public, just because yours frowns upon this doesn't mean that your morality is absolute.

Violence is a lot more vulgar than just nudity (baring the fact that the latter is tabu and thus artificially considered _bad_).

  • @maestbobo sure, why not? lets allow girls to walk around topless in public. I mean, its not like any thing is bound to happen. Even rape rates is not that high.

We can just assume that all men have extraordinary self control and will just be cool enough to walk past it. And while we at how about we take our girlfriends or teenage daughters, out for a walk, topless because nothing can scream Freedom more than this.

  • @IprototypeI Actually, it's not against the law in America (barring some states) for girls to walk around topless. It has become a widely-accepted social "more" (pronounced mor-ay) where we, as a society, have decided over the years that it is morally wrong to display such behavior in a public setting. In reality, there are no morality standards in exposing "indecent" parts of one's body. Nor would "rape rates" increase. It is a common misconception.

  • "Violence is fine, sex isn't."

You can't say it more clearly in less words.

That's why you see deaths in the news, but they pixelate nipples.

  • I would like to know the why behind it. I can see how they want to make violence look normal, looking at the US war budget, but why so tough on boobs? Is it to create a side show that would-be-rebels can rub on while more relevant things go unnoticed?

  • I would like to know the why behind it. I can see how they want to make violence look normal, looking at the US war budget, but why so tough on boobs?

  • Good thing they didn't do this to video games. Oh wait...

  • 1:38 Falls under the words "Very Powerful" ... then leads me to ask, how did they get a camera inside the MPAA security booth to get that 'candid' shot. I just watched this doc last night and did not notice this... i wonder what else i missed.

  • I think it because killing people is fine. I mean if you see your kid shoting assholes in a game then its fine, cos after that hes just going to swin in a pool or whatever.

But when your kid come's to you and states that he just made a girl pregnant at an age of 13 just because it looked cool in the movie, well, then you are both fucked.

Sex is bad, violence is ok.

  • I love this video. Just watched it in my Hum 225 class. Some parts are comedic.

  • I think the difference between Youtube and movies and why Youtube might censor stuff here is because its readily available for all to see. Where Movies aren't so easily accessible. Ether way, I don't agree with ANY form of censorship so long as I reserve the right to choose when, where and how I see it. Don't just throw scenes in my face without letting me know first.

  • this was a great movie, it really showed how things really go at the MPAA.

  • This movie is NOT about porn at all. Just for those that asked. It is a great movie. Everyone should see it. We as the consumers should know who is rating the movies and how. We deserve to know what the guidelines are and we deserve a more diverse group of people to help us decide which movies we want to see.

  • So what was this film rated?

  • @plasticfelinerodent NC-17. Suprised? ;)

  • @plasticfelinerodent

the MPAA specifically withheld from giving this film a rating. XD how appropriate.

  • this movie is awesome ahha

  • I don't get why people can curse as much as they want in YouTube videos but women who have fun with their webcam can't go all the way....

  • so the message from the Hollywood is MAKE WAR NOT LOVE. the rating system is designed in that way, so kids would think, guns and shooting is OK, love and sex is something wrong. it is indoctrination. FUCK THEM ALL.

  • I think its hilarious how scared the MPAA was with this film they gave it an NC-17 rating. The movie Orgazmo, also was probably one of the funniest films I ever saw, but I and a friend snuck into the only theater which aired it, and laughed our asses off because we were bored with the original film we paid to see. It was a 30 theater cinema complex. I constantly am asked for copies of it, because everyone was astonished they had never heard of it. The MPAA erased the film from Americans minds.

  • @specialears what was Orgazmo about? This is an interesting story. Was it porn? too bad if it was really :)

  • @specialears was the movie about porn? this is interesting story but kinda sad if it was a porn parody ---ah poetry :)

  • They censored the word FUCK.

  • @Anonymous4815

Well as we all know, the word fuck make baby jesus cry.

  • @Anonymous4815 cuz' there were children in the theatere probobly at the time this was released!

  • I really wonder why they rated this film NC-17...

  • @coppurt The funny thing is they did so, because at a certain point the movie SHOWS the kind of content that will get a film an NC-17 rating.

  • @coppurt so no one would see it.

  • I don't think it should be up to some stranger to tell you what your child can't see. give the rating but make them all A movies like 16A or 18A. And banning movies is bullshit.

  • What's also interesting is that through a lot of Western Europe, sex isn't nearly as huge of an issue in films as it's made out here. Violence, on the other hand, gets hit by the censors HARD. Cultural differences are kinda weird like that.

  • @roflcopterIII In France we've got no problem with boobies at all. But when it comes to Saw6 or gore films, well you got to be 16 to get to see it...in theater. There's no ban on bying that kind of stuff in stores.

  • @SebLeCaribou And where I live, in Bulgaria, most of the time nobody really cares how old you are and just let you in.

  • I've always thought its so interesting how violence is acceptable in movies but sex is such a huge NO. I've seen some of the most gruesome death scenes in PG-13 movies, but when sex comes into the picture, all of a sudden, its rated R.

  • Can someone please tell me what the name of the song is starting from 36:24 up to 37:04 in this film ?!

  • @Tiesemans its: wtf?

  • As a film student attending the Art Institute of California, I like this documentary...glad someone took the time to do this!

  • "It's about how films are rated"

I bet the guy on the other end of the phone shat bricks.

  • "Land of the free." pff... my ass...

  • This is tiiight!!

They came to my school today!

Sucks I didn't get to watch this film, but I did show up for their open questions! Pretty cool event overall.

  • did he say safety belt? ahahaha, are you kidding me!? lol

  • Kind of ironic that this film is NC-17

  • Just saw this movie (documentary i guess), and its actually very interesting. It tells you all about the MPAA and how ratings are decided. I highly recommend it

  • The country of "freedom"... right. They control the movies content, they are a secret agency. WTF ?

Thats why the european movies are better, or with more spectacular content like nudity or gore, but the good ones with art. thats the objective.

  • Yet another film to connect the dots. 5 stars.

  • I saw this Doc. and I thought it was pretty good. It is very interesting and makes you think about the movies you watch and why they are rated the way that they are. I suggest it.

  • Violence is harmless. Sex and coarse language are harmful. The MPAA knows what's good for you, and they know what's bad for you. It's pathetic, laughable, foolish and ignorant.

  • you're being sarcastic right? if so, agreed. if not, lol to you.

  • Sometimes I think I'm too obvious.

  • its good i saw it in class

  • In class! What grade are you in.

  • this looks extremely interesting. I wanna see it so bad.

  • if u wanna watch boobs, go to porn sites, NOT youtube

also, i always wondered why gore and grotesque violence is allowed in youtube, but not boobs for some reason

  • @atomichead777 oh trust me youtube has boobs. u just arnt digging enough. i was watching a show on a YOUTUBE PLAYLIST and a famous women on a show that id think to be the last to show boobs, showed her boobs for idk how long but pretty long and several times. they show boobs just nots in an innapropiate way. fondling and alll that

  • @atomichead777 I agree. I would rather my kids see skin over gore and violence but I guess others think differently. I guess its because people get a more realistic pleasure over stuff like that, and for that it's banned. Lame but owell.

  • @atomichead777 We live in a society where depicting the end of a life is preferable to depicting the things involved in starting one. It is a disgusting stance on human life.

  • @asherael That's the way society is and I like it that way. It is not a disgusting stance it is a rational stance. I hate seeing sex but love seeing violence.

  • @atomichead777 If people want to see breasts then it shouldn't be off limits on YouTube. If you want to see "boobies" then go to some porn site. Breasts are not sex organs and the fact that Americans think they are is the problem. The MPAA does what they think the American public would want. That being said, not calling them breasts and instead by calling them boobs just shows the lack of maturity with people and the reason why Americans are ashamed of themselves even more to have it a taboo!

  • @jonweinraub

I mistakenly upvoted you so I felt I should make sure you understand. If you're not using breasts as a sex organ, then you're not doing it right.

  • @atomichead777 For you, boobs = porn? this begins to explain why Americans are so angry and always at war. Soon they will be outraged by breast feeding mothers ahaha.

  • @Sekerajmusic

i don't think we're on the same page here

Boobs just mean part of a woman's body. I wasn't being specific enough. Basically any part of the human body. I mean, youtube shows heads being cut off, domestic violence, all that stuff. Yet simple nudity like breasts, other body parts, they're not allowed??? I find that absolutely ridiculous

also, if you want to see boobs, you can either go to porn sites OR medical sites

btw, im not american, but i live there

  • @atomichead777 i see. I really dislike puritanism and i thought you were defending that!

  • @atomichead777

its about freedom of expression, not "HURR I WANNA SEE TITTIES"

  • @nigplee

thats what im sayin in the comments below

  • @nigplee Absolutely agree. I dont want someone else deciding what I can and cant see. If I was happy with that concept I would go live in china.

  • @atomichead777 f-words too! and bible burning! but no koran burning...

  • @atomichead777 What´s wrong with the human physique???

  • who cares!? haha. why does everyone care that boobs are blocked on youtube?

  • Example: You're watching a movie on YouTube that's been divided into ten-minute sections, like chapters. Say one or two of those sections feature boobs. That's ten to twenty minutes gutted directly from the movie, leaving you to wonder what else happened. Another example: Some people enjoy seeing boobs. The freedom to enjoy boobs is being villainized, stigmatized, and removed while the freedom to revel in splattering guts is emphasized, which is dumb. I like tits AND gore, and censorship sucks.

  • Youtube has the same sick standards blocking boobs but allowing horrible violence.

  • Ugh that pisses me off. Because obviously Teh BoObiEEs!!!1! are more dangerous than violence that can genuinely disturb kids, and everyone really.

  • "censorship gets fucked"

  • Comment removed

  • fucking shIt i am still wondering why i watched this so called MOVIE Fuck Fuck Fuck And i hated it a big deal Fuck off MotherfuCKERS DirEctorSSS

  • i watched this movie when i was 14 because i live in canada and it was rated 14a. I love canadian ratings

  • fucking stupid censorship I swear it doesn't fucking matter whether or not you see the skin i picked up on what was going on in the movie just the same when i was 7 I knew they were doing the boom boom I mean what is a kid gonna think seriously when i guys on top of a girl kissing her romantically while shes moaning and the guys moving back and forth shit . xD

  • I just watched this movie and I'm 15. The real reason why was because I was interested in all the MPAA being not very reliable that made me want to see it

  • did you notice that Youtube has the same censorship standards? Boobs are off limits but UFC and violence are all over the place

  • @jrubin22 Because Americans are scared of sex

  • @jrubin22

Because the UFC is a street fight thats unregulated by the government and have no rules or standards AM I RIGHT?

  • @jrubin22 There is another tube for boobs. It begins with the same color of the blood that you can watch spill in a fight between two 220 pound men on youtube.

  • @jrubin22 because it would become flooded with perverts. Think chatroulette

  • اااااااااااااااااااااااااااااااا

  • I just love how they use private dick as a acronym.

  • lol, "This summer, censorship gets fucked."

  • I say get slick with metaphors (I think a Zappa idea) for starters, and if all of us moviemakers walk the ratings line as close as we can, won't it eventually set the new "norm"? And once THAT is set, walk THAT line, and pretty soon..well, we're having a Holy War, but maybe it's time for that. Religious right wingers have so f***ed the world.

  • Remember kids, violence and mass murder is okay in movies, but sex? Oh hell no, that's waaay too much for the American people.

  • I know everyone's hating up on the MPAA, and yes, I agree that they mis-rate things, but atleast they're rating SOME of the stuff as R or whatever that we wouldn't want our kids to see. In the end, as parents if we have doubts we should watch a movie first ourselves and make the judgement call.

  • watch UNTITLED SAL LUPO PROJECT

    on youtube. you'll like it.

  • awsome movie!

it should b up to the parents if they want them seeing movies as a teen some things disturbed me , rape, abuse against women/children, but HEY that was ok for me to watch it wasnt r rated stuff i went to. killin ppl blood etc well thats ok, loving sex NOOOO shame shame. and u wonder why ppl r messed up?

    rating system means nuthing!

have u paid any attention to disney films?

At 8 id watch many shows now rated 14+.

At any time kids can see anything very easily G to xxx.

  • I think this movie was rated NC-17.. but it was surrendered..

  • its stupid how movies need to cut down because of acouple people's opions that children shouldn't see that stuff, THE MOVIE IS R, it isn't supposed to b for children, R for RESTRICTED NO ONE UNDER 17, WHY CUT IT IF IT ISNT FOR KIDS ANYWAYS? that new movie, remake, My Bloody Valentine 3D yeah it is going to suck but I read the MPAA cut nine minutes from the movie because they thought it was too intense, now thats just gay.

  • i agree, ratings are not reviews, reviews are what parents should check for....ratings are like those general non-specific "hearth-friendly" stickers on oatmeal packs and reviews are the nutritional facts on the back....even with restrictive ratings kids could easily get any director's cut dvd from many stores

  • but as you could see the nc17 version you don't get at blockbuster's or other big companies that have the major seeling of media. like dvd or such.

it is a censorship and it doesnt belong in the movie industrie at all.

  • @Googopqp what why that bullshit

  • i watched the document .. and maybe not all get this that they don't have rules witch they use too rate the movie. Sometimes they rate it using they own way of thinking. Many viewers may say its good way. I say its badly designed and you can't feel it couse you never see the movies that haven't got much xxx content yet they ware rated as adult. And at the same time they ware refused comercial campain. That is just wrong..

  • Enough whining about the MPAA.

The filmmakers should bring an anti-trust lawsuit against the MPAA, because they have monopolized the film rating business. It's not a government agency, and it has no legal power. The movie houses simply take their word on whether the film is acceptable.

  • Actually, the 6 major Hollywood film companies OWN MPAA. Its in their interest to control who's watching what movie.

  • wouldnt this movie have to go through the MPAA to be released??

  • ya, so?

  • Yes and no.

Basically the movie gets a rating and based on that rating the movie company decided whether or not it would make a profit if it were released. That's why an NC-17 rating is so unwanted. Teenagers can't go see it (largest market) so the movie companies won't market it at a risk of losing money.

You could "release" a movie without a rating, although it would amount to you having to do everything yourself. For a filmmaker a movie company is like a giant producer/manager.

  • It's unrated in the US, but rated everywhere else (apart from where it was banned)

  • This is one of the reasons why Frank Zappa fought the PMRC in the 80's, because they wanted a rating system just like the movies use but for music.

  • I totally want to see that. ^.^

    (omg audio preview o.O)

  • lol CENSORSHIP GETS F*CKED

probably the most genius statement I've ever heard.

  • I saw this film. It made me so angry. Because I think that this group of people who are rating the films should be elected by the Academy or perhaps the public. It should represent the American public. I imagine it as a room full of white men and women. Who serve as long as they want. Its so not fair. Also, I think that no one should be rating films more than 8 years. This is one of those things that Needs to be shut. I am surprised Hollywood hasn't shut this mess down.Public should be heard.

  • great! don't u know, where can i download this film? I really want it to see..(

  • will you two shud up

  • breasts should be perfectly fine to show on tv or anywhere! where i live in canada we're allowed to walk around topless if we want. breasts are for babies so why can't they see them casually in tv/movies. pubes/genitals is different as well as obvious sex scenes, not appropriate for kids.
