Oh gosh, I grew up near Port Sanilac! I didn't know anyone had even heard of it. I went to school & worked in Port Huron & traveled over that bridge to Sarnia & didn't need a passport then. Isn't that bridge a beautiful piece of work? Or maybe I'm prejudiced. Thanks for posting. Now I'm homesick
@gnfan100 Wow! I moved to Lexington in 2006, now I'm in Grand Rapids. I genuinely like the Blue Water Area. You just have to know the right people, do the right things, and keep an open mind. Being passive in a passive area leads to nothing, boredom, and simple depression after a while. I still haven't gotten around to shooting a series of videos and timelapses to depict Port Huron and its surrounding areas... I'll see what I can do this summer.
@starwarsfan09225 Awesome! I used to think it was quite a bad boring place but in the past year or two I've realized how great it actually is. I'll be shooting more time lapses over the summer!
@gunnarkerr Oh definitely! I thought I wouldn't be shooting anything else because I moved to Beijing but over the winter break I moved over to Grand Rapids but I go home to Lexington, MI a lot. I'll be shooting in Port Sanilac, Lexington, Port Huron, and various other places.
I have new lenses that will be better in low light! Sigma 30mm f/1.4 and a Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 whereas this was shot at 28mm f/3.5 because of the 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 being a really cheap slow zoom lens.
I've seen some of your videos but failed to ever find the channel again!
This is just of the very first time-lapses I've shot.
I'm working on more of them but what's holding me back is the lens I'm using, it's more or less a telephoto lens which makes it highly impractical.
I saw a couple HDR Time Lapses here and there, and I've wanted to try one myself but I don't know all that much about it, but I'm very glad to meet you.
Man... that is beautiful... you've definitely captured 'being there'. You need to go back in the summer and catch some evening river traffic, as well. Thanks for posting this!
@dmbcmj Thank you very much! I'll be doing some more once I get a new lens. You have no idea how cold it is out there especially when you have to stand there for 30-45 minutes! I have a dozen other videos right now that I'm editing, so stay tuned ;)

I bet people in Michigan drive across that bridge into Canada and fill up all the time. Cheap Canadian gas.

@kalijasin: First off you have to have a Passport, pay $5 in and $10 out, and it takes 10-20 Minutes to get over with traffic... So no :]

I totally dig this.

@stephanmarkle: Thanks, I'll be making a Summer one once I get my new Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8
I also need to edit the Dozen other Time Lapses around the area I shot during the Winter/Spring and then upload them.
