1. arc reactor. if iron man was real. seeing as hes not

2. build a belt linned with d-batteries, or if you have a crap load of money, litium ion batteries which could be rechargedand would be realiistic to wear.

The arc welder is massively heavy, it would still have to be plugged in and you'd still have to be wired to the other guy's sword, they make a circuit when they touch.

This could make for some great special effects in some movies. Protagonist and antagonist have their swords crossed, trying to push past the others' offense, all the while staring each other down as sparks fly off their swords grinding against each other.
