@WhatElseExceptNature in history the Samurai couldnt deal with Portuges pirates thats a fact..they were scared of them. They closed Japan off to the outside world bc of pirates. Pirates were hardcore and fought dirty..they outclassed the Samurai in a fight in every way except swords..but pirates didnt use swords unless they had to. A pirate would have tossed a Grenado at him and they started blasting away with a bunch of pre-loaded flintlock pistols..Pirates were no joke!

@offdutyjie sorry dude, in history the Samurai couldnt deal with Portuges pirates, thats one reason they locked up Japan as tight as a tick to foreginers. I doubt that a pirate would bother to learn karate but pirates were hardcore criminals and badasses. Pirates had no concept of a "fair fight", they carried Grenados and tons of pistols tied thier belts..most of them were also pretty good with swords too. Pirates were much more well-rounded than samurai, the Japanese were scared of them.
