  • gotta love alfred's!

  • The 8 dislikes people will suffer! You rocked the house!!

  • Well played, thanks for putting this up.

  • is it just me or does the right hand sounds like mario theme song lol

  • THATS THE CRAP SIMPLIFIED VERSION

  • @MrZonda98 THAT'S THE VERSION THAT'S IN THE BOOK

  • @C4H7NO4 learn the full version its way better

  • wait - THAT is from book ONE???

got some dark times ahead of me...

  • @rooo1o It's the second to last song in the book. It should take youabout a year to get to that song. But it does take a few weeks to get it. The songs in the last 3/4 of the book suddenly get really difficult. As a teacher, I don't like that. I'm having my students switch to the 2A or 2B Alfred Premier books at that point, if they want. The kids books start out too slow for adults, but starting at 2A/B it builds the basics better. U can always do more pages a week if u find it easy.

  • @Sarandib22 well i've looked at hte sheets in the book and i've gotta say you're right. i've learned the Can-Can when i was just getting to page 45 (teacher made me skip a few pages when he heard it) but i've gotta say after the Can-Can it becomes impossible to play.

  • @rooo1o Oops! Sorry. I meant the songs in the last 1/4 of the book suddenly get very difficult (about the last 25 pages).

  • i know this is a simpilified version of the entertianer, but your going a bit fast. You may want to slow down just a little bit. Meh look who's talking xD i play everything to fast xD

  • thank you so much for your video's! It totally helps me out with my lessons!! =)

  • this is the easy version -.-

  • thanks for all the video. I am learning from sch and having the same book as well. It is a good help here. =)

  • It's difficult to play the last 3 songs in the book for me.

  • @Eremenatar I'm working on those three too! In order to pass the level

    Very Hard! ToT

  • wow..okay...i wasn't even done the book 1 and it's really freaking hard! and there are like 2 more boooks! maybe it's going to be more hard! :"( i want to learn the piano! :"(

  • your hand position could improve. Your wrist is too low and your thumb is not perched. A low wrist and a horizontal thumb will make your hand contract because you're using your weak muscles instead of your strong muscles.. Then you can develop carpal tunnel syndrome which is an inflammation of the wrist joint. The thumb needs to play on its side tip so that your wrist can be at the level of the back of your hand. See yrose.us/wp/position.html

  • @austinpianoteacher Great observation, something we need to be aware of if learning on our own.

  • wow cool hihi

  • hoi je bent een mongol

  • i have the same book, my piano teacher is just teaching me this, still early days for my piano career

  • Very impressive. I'm also learning piano from Alfred's book, and working on this piece at the moment. Your videos are a great service - I've listened to all your pieces before learning for myself!

I'm impressed how you can play a piece with no errors before moving on to the next!

    Keep up the great work.

  • you played very good

  • very good of course this is the much simplified version now that you got that down try playing octives on the right hand thats where the song gets pretty scary hard and talk about some major pinky cramps too great work though

  • That book is so popular!

  • good job!

  • I am just learning this one, so its great to hear someone who has mastered it :)

  • You guys don't understand. This is a simplified version of the entertainer duh. Stop critisizing him.

  • wow really good

  • You did a wonderful job.

  • where u get that book

  • Too hard for me :D

  • i have that book ;D

  • me 2 LOL

  • omg for real!! lawl

  • do you need to use a padal in dis one ?

  • Hmm... when I was on Got those blues I can play this song XD I had tried because I heard this song on school and wanted to play this too and... taadaa! It's in my Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course 1 book! It has taked for me max an hour to learn it XD

Do you have any tips for me?

    Do you take lessons?

    =)

  • lol, thanks. I take a 30 minutes lesson every friday.

Try to play slowly , one hand at a time , then play together with both hand is ok .

  • Do you think Royal Conservatory of Music Celebration Series is good? Which company do you take your lessons at?

  • LOL! I take lessons every friday too, like today. =)

  • ya, just about a few hours after my last comment =), and I think that series is a good one

  • Do you think i'd be easy for me to learn the 1st book, if I did Alfred's Basic Adult Piano course 1?

  • na... I think just jump to the second book if you did Alfred's Basic Adult Piano course 1, book 1 ( just I think ) is more like warm-up, and book 2 really trains your piano skills

  • whats your method to remember notes? the written notes not on the keys

  • He hasn't got a face...He didn't come with one :P Very nice piano-ing!

  • i want to see your face

  • nice very nice

  • Hi just wanted to say thanks for the great videos. I'm learning from the same books and your videos have really helped me. Thanks so much!

  • you're welcome

  • Woo Hoo :Þ

  • by the way, I don't think this video (or Amazing Grace, which I haven't looked for yet) is part of your Alfred's Book One channel.

  • um... It was the last two songs in my book, maybe Alfred's book is a bit different in US?

  • No, what I mean was that your Book One Channel ends with "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands." That's the last video. I know that there are two more pieces in your Book One, just as there are in mine. It's not a big deal, but in terms of organizing your Youtube collection of Book One vids, I figured you would want to know.

I started Book One myself in February of this year, and I am just now starting Amazing Grace.

  • i think the book is all same because im in malaysia and using the same book

  • Alex, it seems to me you really flew through book one. Do you have an instructor? I am teaching myself using Alfred's Book One, and started this past January. I'm amazed at your progress. Your posted vids have been very helpful to me. Keep it up.

  • Hi there, thanks for your comment, yes I finished book one, and at the moment I'm working hard on the book two. I have a 30minutes piano tutoring every Friday. :) thanks I will keep going . Please keep visiting my channel, thank you~~~

  • Very nice.

    Your good work encourges me.

  • :) Hi, thanks for your comment, sorry I haven't learn Prelude in A minor yet.

  • Do you play Prelude in A minor?

  • nice job, im on book two and have just finished alexander's ragtime band. keep it up, maybe i can catch up to you haha nah you are way ahead

  • :) hehe, thanks and let's work hard together

  • hi!! it was very good!! i can't play this song yet...actually I just can play until 31 page ahahh... my teacher told me that i have to work with the scales first...but thanks for your videos they are very helpfhul to me.=)

  • =) you're welcome

  • I wonder how is your face ...hahah i'm joking

    hasta la proxima!!!

    cuidate!!

  • hahahah, I am ugly, :D , one day maybe I should post my face up here, lol

  • mmm don't say that I'm sure you're not ugly...

    ok one day ...

    I'll be waiting heheh

    saludos!!

  • Is your keyboard touch sensitive? I ask that becuase every part of every song you play is at the exact same volume, which makes your playing sound very boring and unmusical. If your keyboard is touch sensitive, then you need to work on your dynamics, you need to make certain parts louder and other parts softer. As my piano teacher told me, "if its

  • (continued) "if it's all at the same volume, then it isn't music". You seem to have the fingerings down, but your musicality is lacking. If your keyboard isn't touch sensitive, then I highly recommend that you find one (preferrably an acoustic piano) and use it to improve on your musicality. Good luck and keep playing!

  • :) Hi again, the keyboard i am using now is touch sensitive but camera is poor quality, next week i will have a brand new camera, lol, thanks for your comments !

  • hi suphax, the songs in book 1 and early book 2 are using a cheap cheap keyboard without touch sensitive and no key weight

  • what is your email address?

  • Good, I like it

  • that was good

  • You Should Play The Origenal.

  • haha :) i cannot , i am just a beginner and the original is waaaaayyyyyyy too difficult for me, maybe a few more months later i hope ^_^""""

  • OK.
