I heard there are actually going to be 2 Hobbit movies. I don't see how, since there is only one book. The second movie is supposed to fill in the gap between the end of the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. Where is the material going to come from? Unless J.R.R. Tolkien left sufficient info in his notes or something, they can't just make up their own story. That wouldn't be right.
there are plenty of sources for material that fills in the gaps. most of it will come from the appendices of the Return of the King. there is a lot of information in those appendices, plenty for making a movie. a lot of the movie will be about Aragorn and Arwen's back-story, the White Council, etc.
Good. As long as it's drawn from material that J.R.R. Tolkien penned himself, I'm okay with it, although I'm not against having a respected fantasy writer writing a sequel to the Hobbit, or LOTR for that matter, in book form. allthoe this is fake i think they should have made the hobbit befor the lord of the rings movies...but if they did i dont think it would get as much attention cuz there isent to much action but the lotr movies still pwn but the hobbit should have been made first

Its clearly not the Lord of the Rings if Smaug is in it and Bilbo when he is younger, though it does show parts of LOTR at the start, still, i hope they do make a film of it cause it will be brill if Peter Jackson's directing it

What a cheap shot. You combine clips from the Lord of the Rings movies, put the Requiem for a dream Theme music in the background and give it the title The Hobbit Movie Trailer.
