  • My First Concert! Nazareth w/Blackfoot as warm up in 78 or 79, I'll never forget.

  • 3:00 the most epic scream ever

  • from the greatest rock album of all time, and band.

  • Wow! If AC/DC never found Brian Johnson this guy would have done BACK IN BLACK nicely

  • Theres an old home video of me in 1991, when I was 3, with my older brother singing and air guitaring to this. *sigh* Classic!!!

  • Much like qhostfish01, I too came from a small town in the midwest. I was a freshman in High School, and everyone cruised to THIS album. I was 14! We toked on some great pot, and had this band coursing through our veins. Now I'm 50 and can listen to this incredible Rock and Roll, and get a residual buzz, just thinking about our innocence, and our very lucky generation to have such amazing music. OUR generation had it all, musically. Thank you Musical Gods! LOL. No pot now, don't need it!

  • These Scotts are Fkin Grrrreat!

  • this was my first album and 1st live concert.. saw them in 1973 with Deep Purple at Radio City Music Hall.

  • OH EFIN YEAH!

  • Very under-rated band. Brings back some good memories!

  • HAIR OF THE DOG is one of the best albums ever in the history of Rock music. I have loved it since I first owned it as a kid.

  • @gregboyds LOLOLOL,,,,,hmmmm, insignificant huh, well chek who ur talking to friend, very funny I have to say

  • THIS IS THE BEST SCOTTISH ROCK AND ROLL -AIN'T GONNA FIND IT ANYWHERE ELSE.

  • dudes don't know nothing about this brilliant music anymore, and most of my pals have forgotten it

  • still have this classic album on cassette tape....grew up listening to it.great album all around

  • A band today that sounds a bit like them is :

    BANDS NAME: Awolnation

SONG sail in, or something like that...it's cool

it's more freaky the can't help but hear the vocals of Nazareth.

  • most excellent early example of this style of crotch rock. 1975 the beginnings of arena/corporate rock...this song still has some hair on it...barely.

  • New covenant, the words i put in their mouth, will never go out of their. For i will write them on their heart. " Now my words meaning Bible. for who could describe this generation. My Grand girl 3 is name Heather. This is heather, as in heathen.

Speaks of Revelations. Now these words are trust worthy and true. Angles all around working gods work, in and out. These are chosen one's, righteous.

  • @BooKooDad shutup!

  • 8 Track Player, my youth, big speakers, this song (and LP).

Life was good at 12 back in 75. Saw Naz' several times. Priceless shows.

    \m/ \b/

  • I saw Nazareth open for Aerosmith on their " Toys in the Attic " tour . When we got into my car , I couldn't hear the radio . It took three days to get my hearing back to " normal " .

  • Oh, that's really sounds like Sabbath's song. So that means- very good job by Nazareth.

  • The singer sounds a lot like Cormac Neeson from The Answer.

  • @nekropink No fucking Cormac Neeson sounds like Dan McCafferty this band started originally as the Shadettes in 1961 then name changed in 1968 then in 1971 released their first album 29 years before the answer even formed in (2000). By the way cormac doesn't sound nearly as good.

  • @hermygagala I know when Nazareth and The Answer formed i wasn't commenting on that. I was just saying that to me the two singers sound similar so there's no need to be pedantic.

  • @nekropink But you said it in reverse that was my only issue with your comment.

  • @hermygagala Your right i did say it in reverse so no problem mate.

  • I miss when music was so heavy you HAD to be high to listen to it so you wouldn't get depressed

  • When I was like 9 or so I was digging around in the drawer at the bottom of my parents stereo cabinet. I found this cassette among the random doilies and old crossword books. That wierd dragon clutching the rocky crag is just so cool. I listened to it and the music was better than what the cover promised! Now almost 30 years later it still kicks ass! *nostalgia overload*

  • i work 2 sets of nunchuk listening to this album its a real work out

  • Heard that me my uncles 76 transam smokin opium goin into high gear at 140mph big cube 455 when rock was rock and cars had balls peace

  • Still sounds as awesome as it did when I was 8 lol

  • heavy fuckin metal

  • I still remember the first time I ever heard this song, driving in a rainstorm right after I had gotten my drivers license in November 1986, was pissed at school life etc, good them song for that time in life.

  • i love you guys on here. im 50 and this is and was my music.thanks for posting.i have this album and razzamatazz. but i like listening to and talking about this cool rock with old rockers like me.keep it old school ROCK.

  • @puck88stang I'm a "young rocker" but fortunately, I had an old rocker (in this case my metalhead aunt) to make sure I cut my teeth on the right stuff. Hope many more like me are the same way.

  • @aicdethfan84

I'm an old rocker......but I understand what your saying........:-)

  • @puck88stang it's razamanaz

  • Love this fucking song...saweett!!!

  • Not saying I'm getting old mind you, but I remember the first time I heard this song. Back then, well in the small town in Ohio I'm from, fun was piling friends in my Ford Econoline van, cruising the strip mine back roads and passing the hash pipe. Wow, the van, the pipe and some of those great friends are gone, but sometimes they all slip in in my dreams, and it is good to see all of them. Young people, this was/is rock, plain and simple.

  • @ghostfish01

    you said it man...dig.

  • @ghostfish01 VERY WELL SAID!!!!!

  • @ghostfish01 down in florida, it was the hash pipe, and at the jettys.....good times...

  • @ghostfish01

Yep an 72 satellite with a red fender, yellow oppisite, white hood, the rest of the body blue, white vinyl top. Took door handles off so you had to crawl through the door. They new we were coming for miles. They heard us first, WE ROCKED IT HARD AND AS LOUD AS IT WOULD!!! When they seen that car they knew the BOYS WERE IN TOWN!! I had the privilege of seeing Nazareth twice. They rocked me down to the core of my being.

  • @ghostfish01 ..well said! :)

  • @ghostfish01 This song does bring back great memories, doesn't it? This entire albumn is great.

  • @ghostfish01 man did we run the same area cause soon as i read this it brought back flashbacks and now im back in that small town in ohio. Be wild if we new each other!! \

  • @ghostfish01 man did we run the same area cause soon as i read this it brought back flashbacks and now im back in that small town in ohio. Be wild if we new each other!!

  • @ghostfish01 These dudes are so underrated!!! Listen to the grungy metal voice!!! Shit rocks!!

  • @ghostfish01 awesome.

  • so fucking rock!!

  • I love this Song!

  • I'm a 2 year old and I love this instead of the crap Baby Mozart and Disney tunes my friends listen to and that makes me special.

  • Great song. Dan McCafferty is a much better vocalist than Brian Johnson of AC/DC. Those vocal-types would not be around if it was not for this band. Amazing. A true underrated classic

  • @ukmenace123

So true. Back in 80', after Bon's lamentable passing and before the release of the extremely overplayed 'BinB' LP, among my hard rock listening friends we used to agree that Dan McC. was the only worthy successor if he was offered the job.

    \m/ \b/

  • @ukmenace123 i agree..........dan has quite a set of pipes on him, should rank up there with the best of 'em but doesn't get mentioned much.

  • one of the greatest songs of all time. tired of the same two nazareth song all the time chicken little

  • Why does "classic rock" radio ignore this music? Instead we might get "Love Hurts" by Nazerath again and again or the same Eagles song over and over and....

  • i stupidly sold all my Naz LPs years ago. Thankgod for Youtube.

  • I know her

  • @MrMudpacker Ha Ha Ha!!! Don't we all?

  • same muzic just diffrent tempo's. it's out there

  • Some of the best efforts from Nazereth. Thanks for the post. :)

  • I consider Nazareth as metal as Black Sabbath. I personally think Nazareth are heavy metal and not hard rock. Just listen to the riffs in this song, fucking awesome! \m/

  • de moeder der rocksongs medemensje!

  • I found Nazareth on a fluk when I was 12 I couldn't afford CDs, so I went and bought 10cent records at the second hand store and bout a 10$ record player. I got better sound quality and awesome music for cheap. I didn't have much choice, but bought every record that hard a cool cover or was rock and really found some gems, like this one. Now I'm of an age/time I can afford CD's but still prefer my record collection any day. I LOVE Nazareth!

  • I'm a barely formed gamete semen cell and I find this music far better than the music of today.

  • stii rocks

  • This was always my favorite Nazareth song. Driving and hard. They did a lot of good work on Razamanaz thru Hair of the Dog and then again with No Mean City. The rest is lighter in general but still good. I'm guessing belting it out like this is a little hard on the vocal cords.

  • @sartellman yeah he has a crazy raspy high pitch voice. one of a kind

  • This was always my favorite Nazareth song. Driving and hard. They did a lot of good work on Razamanaz thru Hair of the Dog and then again with No Mean City. The rest is lighter in general but still good. I'm guessing belting it out like this is a little hard on the vocal cords.

  • Shit man. This song gives Sabbath a run for their money.

  • @CraiggyOats Oh really? why? What sabbath's song you think its like Miss misery...because naz have songs with this kind id riff since 71

  • @beroth77 just in general. Sabbath had two albums by the year 1970 though.

  • @CraiggyOats I know what you mean. Beggar´s day, Hair of the dog are good examples of what Nazareth was capable to produce. Actually, the complete album is a masterpiece of heavy rock.

  • brings back the best time of my sneakin out of the house time.....

  • they hit the nail on the head.

  • what happened to this kick ass rock en roll is this new barber shit is trying to get eveyone to cow down to some big fat bitch into submission so the sick fucks can rule the world.

  • Miss Misery, please beat the shit out of Lady Caca.

  • Don,t feel bad dude, I just turned 50 and nobody has rocked like these motherfuckers in a long time!!!

  • @KPTTAM Hey 50 Bro if u like these guy u will like Godsmack.... and Mudvayne... \m/

  • straight up badass vocals. the new metal guys with the cookie monster sound could learn something here i think

  • I dedicate this song to my wuzband, Leon & his psycho girlfriend, Cathy. He breaks it off with her for months at a time, starts dating other people & then goes running back, only to having his personal belongings thrown all over her yard, money taken from his bank account without his knowledge & the list goes on. In our small town, they have become quite the laughing stock because of it. It's proof positive that you CANNOT build your happiness on someone else's sorrow.

I can even remember exactly where and what I was doing when Lynard Skynard's plane crashed IN 77. Now my kids 27 & 24 love it too, they didn't have much of a chance growing up hearing IT. I let them hear and LISTEN to REAL MUSIC...

  • Hell yea my dad grew up on this and so am I even though it was his era

  • what can we say but, sold our soul for rock and roll! let the twirps have their Justa Dweeber and Lady Gagamaggot stuff!

  • this song rocks mono kicks sterio's ass evey time

  • Seen this band many..many years ago at casino ballroom in hampton beach NH. I almost got tossed by security for not sitting down. For those not familiar the ball room is more like a night club than arena, holds about 2000. How could you sit to this music. Kept telling me to sit I kept flipping them off. Started to chase me around the place. Looked like a three stoogers bit.

  • sombody make a video atta this i love it
