  • what a beautiful noise!

  • who the merry fxxxx are these yankie twats, it was jim redman and phil read you tonks, by the way what yankie twat ever won a real world gp race...none europe has produced agostini, 15 times world champ. read uk 7 times world champ, surtees car and motocycle world champ uk... please dont say roberts who was to chickhen to ride the i.o.m long live hailwood bloody no shit yanks

  • @hux648 Calm down.

  • honda 6 what a sound

  • the person on the video calls it noise I call it music

I seen Kenny Roberts race he was awesome rider.

  • Dukevideocom (UK) has a ton of orig audio recording CD's of All of these 60's bikes flying around the Isle of Man course. Well Well worth your time if you dig these old music makers. Cheers, D.

  • I got to push Jim Redmond out to the start line one yr at Laguna .. super guy , and a super sounding ride .. . think the best sound though was the sound of my old TZ 750 Yamaha at the end of the straight at Ontario at about 185+ .. love that sound.....

  • @moosiah

I owned and raced a TZ700 (Daytona) but always used ear protection

Was to busy to relax and listen to the sound

    Jim

  • @Furzkanone92greatist sound of any racing motocycle no girly two strike puffer comes close long live real men on real bikes jim redman and mike the bike hailwood.class of thier own

  • @hux648 The 1965 4 cylinder Yamaha 125 was pretty awesome sounding too.

Mike Hailwood rode 2 strokes as well.

  • @hux648 Should I list the world championships that Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda 2 strokes won. If I list the international and national races 2 strokes have won it would fill a book. Some of the great championship winning riders who rode 2 strokes to World titles include Mike Hailwood, Giacomo Agostini, Hugh Anderson, Jarno Saarinen, Phil Read, Bill Ivy, Joey Dunlop, Wayne Rainey, Kenny Roberts, Randy Mamola, Barry Sheen, Wayne Gardner, Mick Doohan and Valentino Rossi. Dominated for 40 years.

  • beutiful sound never to be equaled.pity about windging yankee no hopers no nothing least show respect for jim redman mike the bike hailwood........... i bet they never even heard of kenny roberts.still who cares about that one hit blunder long live the real heros...

  • @hux648 The video was made in 1995, well before YouTube. Kenny Roberts was very, very talented. Mike Hailwood expressed the highest respect for him. Pity you didn't show some maturity in your post. BTW, it's whinging not windging

  • @hux648 Kenny Roberts 3 World 500 cc Championships hardly constitutes a "one hit blunder". Anyone who could ride a TZ 750 Yamaha on a flat track has the greatest skills and talent. Roberts is one of only four riders in AMA racing history to win the AMA Grand Slam, representing national wins at a mile, half-mile, short track, TT and road race.He was also a very good team manager for 20 years & won 4 titles with Rainey, Lawson & Kocinski.

  • I got to watch and hear six Honda 250cc 6 cylinders (four cycle), and four Yamaha 250cc 4 cylinders (two cycle) at the 1967 Monza GP. Talk about mechanical music. All the 4 cycle engines used megaphones back then, and there is no tin can muffler that they stick on the 4 cycles of today that even comes close to the megaphone music.

  • hiya from the uk i was 11 years of age in 67 the last time the fourstrokes won for years i was on bray hill on the I O M mike the bike hailwood and ago flat out down bray hill hell i was deaf for two days lolol cya

  • Awesome.....just awesome.

  • It's a 4 stroke !!!!

  • To all of you whining about the guys speaking in the video: This was recorded in 1995, they probably didn´t have 14 year old internet-heros in mind during filming.

Just be happy they published their homevid for all of us to enjoy this clockwork of a Honda-bike. Lovely!

  • pure groundbreaking technolgy in it's day,the linage from this iconic motorcycle shines through to today...thanyou Mr Soichiro Honda.

  • at least he took the vid, lol, thanks

  • next time let the soudn of the engine do the talking, they will sound 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 better than you will ever do

  • agree

  • The next time you video, SHUT UP. You sound gay to boot!

  • I'd like the thank the "idiots talking" who put this up on Youtube. I was there first year Iannucchi ran this with Redman at the helm. Wondered if anyone had video of this. The greatest motorcycle sound ever created with MV's a close second. Thanks guys.

    JG

  • Who are the idiots talking through the whole video? STFU!

  • I love this video it reminds me of when Honda was making new and groundbreaking machines instead of the same boring crap they are putting out now. Seriously why are they castrating their motorcycle line.

  • Nice work mr honda without you sounds like this would not exist and to jammy jim remember redhouse in s a

  • Thanks for sharing! It's a shame there isn't any good doccumentaries out there on this bike and its history

  • The best profile of the bike I've seen is on Multi Cylinder Magic, a 70 minute video made by Duke Marketing in 1995. It features all the bikes of Team Obselete plus the 1995 Assen GP historic parade. The 60's mechanic, Nobby Clark gives a good rundown of the internals of the 250 six and what it takes to maintain them in race trim. There is some info on the Videos, Honda The TT Golden years and The History of the TT which has a whole section of sound recordings with some riders interviews.

  • Hail the internal combustion engine!! Hail Soichiro Honda!!

  • I don't think that was Jim Redman was riding :D
