No way...Kramer retelling the story is SO MUCH FUNNIER than actually filming it because you can use your imagination! This is a lot like George's hysterical retelling of the beached whale story in "The Marine Biologist." I think both of those stories would have been dark and scary if they had actually been filmed instead of retold.
What made Seinfeld such a brilliant show was it required the viewer to read between the lines. As Jerry said, part of the fun is the "slalom through the cones."
I agree with your opinions on both scenes...also this allows us to see the reactions of disbelief of the other cast members, which also contributes to the comedy...
My fav episode. From the famous fire scene, the excuses after, the conversation with Jerry about it and kramers speech on the pinky toe bus ride made this one if the funniest half hours ever.
Larry Charles and Michael Richards are brilliant.

This is absolutely one of my all time favorite Seinfeld moments:
"You kept makin' all the stops?"
"Well people kept ringin' the bell!!"

I'm really glad they decided not to actually try and show the scene, and just let Richards describe it.

Kramer's pinky toe story is seriously one of THE funniest scenes in the history of television.

"you kept making all the stops??" - one of the best lines from that show, ever. I'm so glad they decided to keep it as kramer telling the story.

Where are all these clips from? Are these DVD extras, or TV bits to promote the DVD release?
