I got this done at a salon c: People always used to ask me if I was half black, my hair was so curly. And I felt absolutely revolting since they told me I couldn't shower for 3 days. But it was worth it, I get it done about every 5 to 6 months and my hair is probably a third as curly as it used to be so it's a lot easier to straighten.

Do you have any recommendations for sulfate-free shampoos? Sulfate shampoos irritate my skin, but the only alternative I could find was L'Oreal. It reeked and was too greasy :( and I have super thick, frizzy hair :P

Tried it, worked wonders. Sadly the smell of the shampoo/conditioner (mainly the shampoo) was such a nausating smell that I actually threw up. So I spent about $60 for all the products and all I use now is the flat iron spray and the anti-breakage serum.. Yep.

Here's something I learned in beauty school...

If there are tons of suds when you shampoo, that means your hair is getting clean. Lack of suds means that all the power of the product is being used on removal of buildup and oil so do it til you create a good lather. Suds = Clean :)

I've gotten my hair straightened more times than I can count, and I've had both Japanese and Brazilian, but I definitely think Brazilian is way better cause the fumes are way less. I definitely wouldn't try this if it's got a weird smell, cause the last time I had a Brazilian Keratin done, it smelled nice, for some reason. But then again, that might be because it was at a salon.
