The 16-inch firing along with fact I was a first loader on a quad-40mm gun near Turret No. 3, and with the five- inch gun firing on the 0-2 level during my 3 years and 7 months aboard her is part of the reason I wear hearing aids today. I would not take anything for my service on Iowa. Can't wait to go aboard her next year in San Pedro, CA.
