I new exactly what heroin was going to do to me and I still did it. I was depressed, I was at a point in life I only wanted to be numb. Most addicts use heroin because of HUGE other problems. My friend's cousin was a addict. I seen how awful his life was like. Because of where I was in life I chose to use. No dealer ever made me use. Thank God I've gotten clean and have not used since March 2, 2004. But again, It was MY choice. I wanted to escape my problems even tho I new it was only for a short time

@allankay12 legal drug abuse also does great harm to society, I'm personally opposed to prohibition, you probably know how the argument goes, if heroin was legally available, you would not have the crime that comes with black market distribution. People would have a safe, clean supply, and clean kit, all at a price they won't have to mug, steal or prostitute themselves to pay for. There will always be drug users, but "drug pushing" uses addiction, intentionality, to make a profit, it's sick.
