it's quite good even if i better like some of the previous singles she recorded... but it's really the kind of song who deserve more listening experience
It's quite rich at first listen... but for a lot of musical artists even some of the best....the music of a "single" is often more accessible to the popular public than some other songs in an album (whatever is the name of the musical artists) ... but here unfortunately Nicole universe is potentially too complex and opaque for the masses...
got referred by entertainment weekly lol. said if i enjoyed florence + the machine dog days are over then i would like this lol. entertainment weekly is always right
First time hearing this and it sounds awesome! Nicole has just picked up where she left off before, and maybe even better! One of the best female vocalists out there too, such power is in her voice! Rock on!
the has a powerfull yet sultry voice. I am quite certain she was inspired by The Doors for this song; the way of singing and the guitar riff at 1:53 is very Doors like. If the rest of the album is of the same quality I will definitely buy it! Ron
Shooting this must've been refreshing in the sea at November. I like Vultures because of it's philosophical approach in the story, backgrounded with a melody containing a tension chord and climax. It attaches the listener until the end, still separates this song from mainstream to art and is the perfect entry for her new album. The Mondo Amore album will still surprise the listener very positively because of songs like 'The Tower', 'Cry, Cry, Cry' and 'You Were The Devil'. Comparing Nicole Atki
Nicole is too good a songwriter not to know that the verse melody is simplistic, generic, derivitive--something anyone could write. And that the "chorus" (the Na Na Na) is just soulin' off of that. It's no "Maybe Tonight". We've come to expect another "Wayward Wind" or "Different Strokes". Look 'em up.
That's your new single? Wrong choice. You compose better than that, with astonishing complexity. You're not Johnny Cash. You're more Shirley Manson/Leslie Gore/Chrissy Hynde.
Very rich song...

This song has a lot of power to it.
She reminds me a little of Susanna Hoffs from the Bangles, both visually and audibly.

Her style is unique and belongs to her.
(sorry, that's been cut off my former comment)

I don't think she's like Johnny Cash, Led Zeppelin, or Shirley Manson(my precious:0)).
She's more like Nicole Atkins...

@DenverKirk i agree. the song is weak. its no 'neptune city' or 'the way it is,' thats for sure. she looks great in the video though.
