being a freerunner myself (who used to do solely parkour) i will say that freerunning IS kind of like parkour. yeah they are different but they still sure as hell have similarities.

in my experience, people who go about smashing out the fact that "FLIPS ARE NOT PARKOUR FREERUNNING IS WASTED MOVEMENT" (not saying this is you), are mostly the people that aren't skilled or gutsy enough to execute this "wasted movement".

This is free ruinning not parkour... There is a difference... Parkour is all about efficency... Free running is the addition of style (flips tricks and other movements that have no need in overcoming the obstical) at the cost of speed or efficency... just throwing this fact out there = P

it all comes down to the person I.E you said fact. I believe it is freedom of expression through movement. As a way of bettering yourself by expression. However parkour an efficiency user. (also i have been in many areas where a flip is more efficient than a parkour movement, and since its more efficient it becomes parkour, just my opinion though.)
