@HmongYou2Tube : That's not entirely true. In Modern Army Combatives we're taught at a basic level to push our heads into their chest, palm strike the jaw, pull their arms tight to their body, post a leg, etc...but the move starts by dropping your head to their chest in exactly that manner. Not that I think it's always the best idea, but food for thought.
only 2 real ways i get this is off a traingle choke against a strong but stupid and pulls his arms out then ninja choke or you get half the triangle choke and if hes a strong guy or your triangle isnt that good then wrist control and push his other arm out the way and ninja choke hard but do able
yeah you guys are stupid sayin the rubber guard wasnt need, thats the whole point of this, watch the right arm, he only had to move to the right, the gogo was bait.
rubber guard isnt gonna get you anywhere in bjj. maybe if your goin agianst guys who have no grappling backround, but otherwise that shits just trendy. i rubber guard is around in 5 years ill take this statement back
@RDbushi some talented jiu jitsu guys have made use of it but to perform it in mma is very risky so i agree if i ever try it in the cage im sure ill take some leather!!!! check out jordan damon hes old school before Eddie bravo my instructor lost to him and ive been a fan of him ever since LOL
I watched some guys in my class roll and one tried to set up this choke EXACTLY like this but the other passed his guard and tapped him with a von flue choke
"tbh the rubber guard is not actually needed here"
I can't believe any of you actually thumbed this up. Not needed? Do you people know anything about jiu-jitsu?
Without the rubber guard this move could not be set up. In Chill-Dog, the top guy is either worried about the threat of "Invisible Collar" or "Kung Fu" move. Plus he is pressuring to break chill-dog, and once that happens you have a ninja choke.
No one in a normal guard will put head to someone's chest to allow for a ninja choke.
@HmongYou2Tube Dan Miller performed the choke from the sprawl and tightened the choke in open guard at UFC 118. So it's possible if you get the right positioning.
@HmongYou2Tube i saw another vid where he did it from another position started from both guys on their knees...i like both options to be honest but i favor rubber guard only cuz i can use to relax for cardio but thats just my opinion....
@HmongYou2Tube i mean the set up is fantasic if your opponent knows the system and knows the basic defenses but like any move it has many set-ups and many variations and in different types of fighting (MMA,BJJ) there are gona be situations where it wont work from the rubber guard but you might catch it lucky from full guard i believe you could even do this move standing and fall into guard
@HmongYou2Tube you had know control over his body he could have poped out and he tapped before you can show how to fully exucute just negative reinforcment no offense bro
@HmongYou2Tube You're right about this setup. If you're not using rubber guard, you're not going to get this submission from guard. But outside of 10th Planet, I've heard that choke called "Wicked Guillotine". Usually set up from a stuffed sprawl attempt. Really, it's just a variation of guillotine. Anytime you can get your chest above the opponents head, you can work to set up this choke, even without rubber guard.

@HmongYou2Tube indeed, was wondering the same how someone would get caught in this "ninja choke" without being in rubber guard :S

@HmongYou2Tube You can get it when they're defending something like a guillotine attack from regular guard or from standing.

@stttttipa It toughens up the nails so they dont crack and splinter, coz that shits painful. Chuck Liddel often had silver toenails in a fight.
