Wow really? If extreme scare tactic commercials were their way of encouraging safety and getting tested they DEFINITELY failed in that area. lol This would only stir paranoia. I remember the D.A.R.E drug-free commercials, growing up, but not these. lol Then again, ppl weren't 2 knowledgeable on the disease in early 80s-90s, so the message was just don't get it. HIV/ AIDS testing is quick and painless recent yrs-now so wrap it up, be safe or simply abstain guys! ;-)

Everybody loves horror movies and horror movies are cool. This PSA isn't proving a thing except say that drugs are cool. And last of all everybody dies anyway with or without drugs. I know a lot of people who did that shit for decades and still know how to ride a bull without falling off! These drug PSAs is just another brainwash that died a long time ago.

However, you gotta remember that this was the early 1990s and just a couple years back, the AIDS virus broke out.

And then there are the people who lose their job because they have such a serious habit; there are the people who die because they made a mistake with the doses, sometimes from just one dose. You're probably talking about cannabis, and while that doesn't have quite as serious short-term effects, long-term use can cause memory problems and paranoia. Drug PSAs are necessary, because otherwise all we get are people telling us that drug-taking never did anyone any harm.

I remember this commercial was a series of at least four PSA's with the message "AIDS another way drugs can kill". I don't remember the details of the others but one took place at the beach with a couple about to have sex and they talked about how they did crack earlier. Another shows us a tour of a rat infested ghetto apartment building all the way up to the roof where we see another couple about to have sex. Recorez already commented about the other. If anyone has any more details please post.

this psa was part of a series, all narrated by spike lee, with the same horror music. One psa had an ill- parked car with flashing lights( giving the illusion that it was a drinking and driving accident) when suddenly the couple starts making out in the backseat amidst creepy smoke, while spike lee says, 'these lovers had a few drinks and pills, and know they have aids-only they don't know it yet - drugs another way aids can kill'.

I did see an HIV/AIDS poster that had the couple making out and it was justaposed next to an actual car wreck.

One magazine ad reads: "Vanessa was in a fatal car accident last night, only she doesn't know it yet" and this portrays HIV as an unseen murderer that can't be removed once it's inside the immune system.
