Minecraft Vanilla was a total ripoff of this game, that's the free version, by the way. BUT Notch had permission from the creator to make Minecraft, and he changed it quite a bit. It's a much different game, now Fortresscraft... yeah, Notch needs to sue.

Notch said he wanted to make a game like Dwarf Fortress but not nearly as complicated and more accessable. He had also played dungeon keeper 2 and this, and thus having liked both he created minecraft, which is a hell of a lot better but would not have happened without this.
